Keeping everyone at a distance for the last fourteen years has been easier said than done. Sophia has succeeded.
Giving up the closest thing to a genuine relationship she ever had to remain focused on what she was forced to give up, she has stayed in place in life.
Stalled.
Four more years to go before she can meet her son, she tells herself over and over.
Going through the motions day in and day out, doing whatever necessary to get by. An unexpected surprise arrives at Sophia's door step, giving her the very thing she desires most.
Forgiveness isn't easily given. Love doesn't always overcome the bitter pain of years lost. Is Sophia destined to be stalled in time?
USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Chelsea Camaron is a small town Carolina girl with a big imagination. She is a wife and mom chasing her dreams.
She writes contemporary romance, erotic suspense, and psychological thrillers. She loves to write blue-collar men who have real problems with a fictional twist. From mechanics to bikers to oil riggers to smokejumpers, bar owners, and beyond, she loves a strong hero who works hard and plays harder.
Stalled was the last book of the Love and Repair series by Chelsea Camaron. It was a short and quick novella.
We were introduced to Sophia in previous books. We knew she had baggage and it was finally revealed in the last book that she had a son at 15 but was forced to sign him over to the affluent and influential grandfather or her mother would be deported.
Stalled was written to provide closure for Sophia. I won't summarize the story so as not to provide spoilers; however, the sole focus was on Sophia and her son. He was now 15. It was a bonus story to close out the series. I enjoyed the series and hope to see flashes of the main characters as supporting cast members in future series.
4.5 Stars I have enjoyed this series immensely, and have to admit I was sad when at the end of Beyond Repair there was no HEA for Sophie. I know Harrison wan’t the right one for her. Now I know why.
How do you move on when you lose the most important person in the world, on the same day you lose your first love? Well Sophie didn’t. She has kept herself in control and her heart locked up for 15 years. When her first love gives her a chance to have the life she always wanted she has to take that chance. And this reader is so thrilled she does!
Pieces of her life all finally come together and she is happy. She has a love she has always needed and the opportunity to make her own HEA. A perfect ending to a fantastic series.
This very short novella gives us closure to Sophia’s story which we finally learned about in the previous book. For almost 15 years she has been waiting to finally be reunited with the son that was taken away from her at his birth. She didn’t think this would happen until his 18th birthday but she get an unexpected surprise and as a reader I was surprised too and very happy with how it all turned out.
Very large dose of closure for Sophia. I think lovers of the author as well as this series will be in love with the book. A great message here for girls all over , don't give up
Loved this book! I'm so glad this book finished the series off. Maybe could have been a little longer but Im a greedy book person and always want more never wanting the story to end. Loved how it brought everything together in Sophias life. 👍👍
Soph finally gets her happy ending and is reunited with her son had tears rolling down my face. Trenton made up for all the wrong doing caused to her by sharing custody and she go ally got to his tell his dad off with no repercussions to her. I'm so happy for them.
What an influential man, with money and power, will do to control a person. Thankfully years later, his son takes control of the situation he ruined, and rectified it. Good things can happen when someone does the right thing.
Stalled is how this book left me feeling! After all the buildup, I honestly feel that Sophia should have had some kind of satisfactory adult relationship with an HEA.
I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review...
Well this was full of emotions for me, seeing how it's the ending of the Love & Repair series by one of my favorite authors, Chlesea Camaron, but it was awesome all the same. Chelsea continues to amaze me with her emotional, heart felt writing, and I loved every second of this series from the start.
Sophia's story is one of tragic events, but also shows how much love she has for her son, who was seperated from her for years. She kept everyone at a distance, and never let herself love another man, which was a sad situation when it came to her and Harrison. Harrison was willing to give her the world, but her devotion to her son always outwayed everything else, and in the end, she knew she couldn't give Harrison what he really wanted and needed from her.
Sophia never gave up hope that one day her and her son would be reunited, and when that day came, it was such an amazing experience, and beyond emotional to read. Just the thought of going through what she went through is unfathonable. She's such a strong woman to do what she did and come out on top, and it was awesome to read. Loved it and what a super sweet story of triumpth over tragedy!
I've read every book in this remarkable series. This was the perfect way to end it. First off, it is a novella so Chelsea kept it short but sweet. I was trying to figure out if I liked Sophia in Harrison's book, and I couldn't quite get a read on her. Now I understand. I empathize. I love her.
Sophia's love and devotion to a child she never even got to meet is both amazing and heartbreaking. But when you love something this much and you lose it, it makes sense that part of you is never fully able to love anyone else again. Sophia's unable to really come to terms with how to move forward with her life. Even after relocating to a different state, by force, you see her heart is always in Texas.
Trenton, Sophia's ex lover and friend, is a complete pansy. I hate to say that but what man allows his father that much control over his life and his future? Even after adulthood he waits until Wayne, his father, has a stroke to reach out to Sophia. I wanted to punch him. Wayne is a complete bastard. I was kinda happy when he was put into a home..which makes me sound a bit harsh but whatever.
This story is short, sweet, and made me tear up more than once. I give it 5 novella lipsticks!!!

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review, so her it is. Sophia has been living in hell for 14 years. After her son was taken away from her and she was not allowed any contact. It has set her live in motion and she doesn't get very close with anyone. When a surprise phone call comes, she is given another change at life. Will she see her son and will her son accept why she has been absent from his life all these years? Will Sophia get her HEA? This story will break your heart but it will let you see into Sophia's life and answer any questions you might have after reading Beyond Repair. This is the last of the Love and Repair series. if you haven't read any of Chelsea's stories yet, please start with this series, it is great.
Well this book is the story everyone kept asking for and that is Sophia's story. We get to know what exactly Sophia had to endure when she was younger and pregnant. Having to give up her son and making a promise to herself and to her son to never love another until they were together again. Chelsea gave me emotions yet again; she made me cry a few times because I felt the pain Sophia was going through. I am not going to ruin this story for you by saying what happens so you have to read this for yourself and find out. You will not be disappointed as you get answers to her story. I enjoyed it and I also liked the way she ended it. Now go out and find out for yourself Sophia's story.

A bittersweet but yet hopeful close to Chelsea Camaron's Love & Repair series finally clues us in to what happened in Sophia's past that made her unable to fully give herself to Harrison (or anyone else). I wanted to cry during the first several pages because I could feel how much pain Sophia was going through as she gives birth to and then is forced to give up her son. A tender story about not giving up hope and learning that it really is never too late to make things right. Shorter than all the other books in this series but packs a powerful punch nonetheless!
This is a really sweet ending to the series. When the last book ended I was kinda bitter towards Sophia. However, after reading this installment, my heart swelled for her.
This novella is a really quick read. It allows us to see Sophia and her son reconnecting and finding out what all happened to her to force her to leave him in the first place. It also gaves you the chance to see an HEA in the future for Sophia which all romance readers need right??!!
Loved this book. So emotional to see what Sophia has had to endure over the past fourteen years... This series is one of my all time favorites and I'm very sad to see it all come to an end. I will miss these characters so much. Thank you Chelsea for bringing them to life and sharing the struggles of these characters. They have touched me so....
Chelsea Camaron has done it again. This was an amazing read that I could not get enough of.
You cannot help but fall in love with the characters, as well as the story. This book moved along from beginning to end at an awesome pace and did not stop.
This is a book that everyone should experience, you will not be disappointed.
Stalled is a very short novella in the Love & Repair series by Chelsea Camaron. This book could have been so much better and actually a full length novel. Kinda disappointed that it didn't go into more deatil. Glad to see Sophia got to finally be with her son and hopefully she found her happily ever after. Sad to see this series come to an end and I would highly recommend this series!!
It was really really good but it was so short, a little to short so I hope she gives us more of Sophia and Trentons story in another book. I am really hoping these to get a happy ending!
I wasn't a fan of Sophia's at all, guess it was bc she was too secretive, but after reading her story, I now understand what her problem was!! I'm so glad she got her happy ending!!
This was such a heartwarming story of what Sophia went through. And will she see the light at the end of the tunnel and fun nelly be able to get whole again?
