This short novella introduces the former members of a Navy SEAL team and the mission that sidelined their career. There's a chapter devoted to each member, giving a glimpse of their back stories. There's still more to explore with each of them but what was provided was enough for me to get engaged.

The team is given an opportunity to join a private security firm in Florida, focusing on assignments where justice needs to be served. The CEO of the firm is intriguing on his own, let alone the appeal of the kind of work he describes as their focus.

I enjoyed this intro to the series. It was just enough to pique my interest and decide I want more of this team. I'm in.

Hold on to your panties ladies, The Justiss Alliance Series has landed.

5 Ex-SEALS - Risk, Rath, Saxby, Knox, and Julian, all with their own separate pasts, but together they are a team. A team, that has been used as Scapegoats by their superiors, to take the blame for the clusterf**k that was their final mission.

Wild Hearts is a short novella, it starts at the mission that changes all their lives and ends with them all in varying stages of agreement that they will join Chase Justiss and his team.

What I like is that Tina has devoted several chapters of the book to each guy, you are given a little of their back story, and the reasoning that leads them to the decision to come back together as a team.

I can’t lie, I am pretty excited about this series, and I cannot wait for book 1 – Wild On You, to be released in early 2014.

TINA WAINSCOTT - WILD HEARTS

• 72 pages
• release date - 07 January - 2014
Justiss Alliance #0.5 (prologue Novella)

description

MY THOUGHTS

WILD HEARTS is a verrrry short prologue-kind of story - and I really think this should be a requirement for EVERY book series out there. You would never again get confused by all the people in a book ☺

It was perfect.

We start off with a Team of Navy SEALs (Risk, Rath, Saxby, Knox & Julian) about to enter the House of Mexican bad guys. The SEAL's mission is to kill the leader and his buddies.

But the mission is a complete failure because someone they thought they could trust (only known as THE WOLF), gave them wrong information.

Now back home the government needs to blame someone and they choose the SEALs - they are discharged from the military and everybody thinks they were the bad guys in all this.

As they walk out of the hearing a Limo is waiting for them and inside they meet Chase Justiss - telling the guys that he wants to hire them. He says that the same thing happened to him a while ago and that's why he started his Miami-based company

description

to help wronged soldiers and to give them a purpose again - working great cases without the government hindering their work.

He leaves his card and tells them to call once everything calms down.

After that we follow EACH of the team members home and we get a quick introduction into their lives and history and problems and fears and dreams.

And when they meet up again a few weeks later - they discuss what to do about the job-offer ☺

It was just wonderful!!! Now, when we get to read book #1 in the Justiss Alliance series we already know who's who and what their background is!
_______________________________________

description

I wish every Author would write a short little story like this.

Now I can't wait to get started with the series - because I want to know about how all the guys find their happy ever after ☺

I really enjoyed it.

GO GET IT! ☺

Welcome to the meet & greet for what looks to be a hot new series! Wild Hearts by Tina Wainscott is a brief novella that lays the foundation for the Justiss Alliance series and the men who have what it takes to work black-ops type missions, for a fee. As the fall guys for a covert SEAL operation that went sideways, then belly-up, publicly disgraced and sent packing, these men are well-trained, probably the best of the best, but each is damaged or flawed, one way or the other. What they each need is a good woman in their lives…and Tina Wainscott is going to make it happen!

What a brilliant way to snag everyone’s interest, each man gets his chapter, each has that alpha thing going, and each gets the call from Chase Justiss to do what they do best! From the admitted lady’s man to the guy who doesn’t want to follow in the family crime business, these men promise to make for some reading with heat!

More hot and sexy Navy SEAL heroes?! Oh, bring it on!!

Wild Hearts is a short story that introduces us to the main characters in Tina Wainscott's new romance suspense series, Justice Alliance, and teases readers with a bit about each of these super-hot adrenaline-junkie heroes.

This is not a romance story, but it was a fun look at a 'defuckle' mission in Mexico that made an elite group of Navy SEALs decide to join a private security firm Justiss Alliance, which sets up the background to the series.

I am now off to read book one is this series Wild on You.

Updated with the full review, also posted at TBR Mountain Range.

An exciting, although very short, introduction to the upcoming THE JUSTISS ALLIANCE series, this novella is sure to rev up your anticipation for more details about these irresistible Navy SEAL heroes and the women who dare to love them.

This novella kicks off with a Navy SEAL team in the midst of a clandestine mission in Mexico that neither the U.S. nor Mexican governments will admit sanctioning. This team is well trained and will risk their lives for the right cause, even if they'll take the rap when anything unexpected occurs. They've planned, they have their sources who are solid and they're qualified. What could possibly go wrong?

The unexpected happens and the question is, how will each of them deal with the fallout? Chase Justiss of The Justiss Alliance offers a challenge this team might not be able to refuse.

This is the type of novella that's even better if you're listening to music while reading. Two songs that hit my playlist within the first chapter, added to the mood and excitement of the mission going down: Put Your Lights On by Santana and Come Together by the Beatles. Happy coincidences sometimes add to the reading experience. Try them and see if you agree.

After the mission and consequences, we're introduced to each of the team members and follow their immediate plans away from the team. This is clever because it amps the anticipation for the series. I'm sure that after reading more about each of these men and the experiences that have brought them to this point in their lives, you will be ready for more...NOW, no waiting, please.

Here are the team members and a teaser about each of them...

Rick "Risk" Yarbrough, aka Farm Boy, base jumps to chill out.

Julian Cuevas, aka Salsa Boy, uses Salsa music as his ringtone, has just recently purchased a Harley and is smooth with the ladies.

Saxby Cole, aka Sooch for Southern Charm, is a wealthy Louisiana charmer.

Knox Logan is a cowboy when at his family's ranch in Montana. Knox really got to me in chapter six. His introduction is heartrending.

Rathmusen "Rath" Blackwood is from Breckenridge, Tennessee, and rides a Harley. He's ready for vengeance.

And let's not forget the illustrious Chase Justiss, the mysterious man in charge of The Justiss Alliance. Just a glimpse of him and I'm already wondering...what is his story?

In addition to this short novella, a small blurb for each of the upcoming books is included, as well as an introduction from author Tina Wainscott explaining how the series came to be. I think all of it really adds to the reader's enjoyment and anticipation. I'm not always a fan of promotional bits at the end of a book, but I think this time it answers the reader's need at that particular moment perfectly.

My only warning for WILD HEARTS is that the language is raw, as it should be for men battling for their lives, and the camaraderie of this team is going to make you want the next book, now. If you're expecting a romance, stay tuned because this is the introduction to the rest of the books in the series, so it does its job of an introduction and creates an almost insatiable need for what's next. WILD HEARTS is such a great teaser, so make sure you grab it on January 7, 2014! WILD ON YOU (starring Rick "Risk" Yarbrough) is available on February 4, 2014, then WILD WAYS (featuring Julian Cuevas, aka Salsa Boy) is predicted for May 13, 2014, followed by WILD NIGHTS (about Saxby Cole, aka Sooch) at a later date. From the detail in this novella, it seems as if there will be three more books but the titles aren't mentioned.

Based on this prequel novella, I believe that THE JUSTISS ALLIANCE series will be highly anticipated by those who love military men and the justice they seek!

This is a prequel novella to spawn a series about five ex-Navy SEALs. After a mission that was a clusterfuck, these men were discharged but thankfully not court martialled. Even though they were not responsible for this screwed up mission, they were the ones that were blamed to appease the masses. To avoid jail time they had to sign contracts forbidding them to talk about what really happened on that ill fated mission.

As they are leaving the courthouse, a man approaches them with a job offer. He is the founder of the Justiss Alliance and they handle what sounds like protection and black ops work. He leaves his cards with each of the men and asks them to consider his offer.

At this point, you get a glimpse at each of the men in this SEAL group. Some of their home lives and if they will join the Justiss Alliance. These men are named: Risk, Rath, Saxby, Knox and Julian.

I can't wait to read this series. I have the first one loaded and ready on my Kindle. I hope they are as good as Maya Banks' KGI series or Cindy Gerard's Black Ops Inc. series. I love romantic suspense and I adore military romantic suspense. This prequel had no sex in it and I do hope the series does. If it doesn't, well that's just stupid.

Romantic suspense isn't a genre I normally read but I am a huge fan of Tina Wainscott's fantabulous paranormal romance books written under her pseudonym, Jaime Rush, so I gave Wild Hearts a chance.

Wild Hearts is a prequel novella to Tina Wainscott's new romantic suspense series, Justiss Alliance. It introduces us to five super smexy Navy SEALs who have had their lives turned upside-down after a mission went bad and they were deemed rogue. These guys all have issues and I look forward to learning more about them as well as Chase Justiss, the mysterious head of The Justiss Alliance.

The Justiss Alliance series has a lot of potential and though I am not big on romantic suspense, I do plan to read Risk's book, Wild on You.

Really liked this novella.

It lays the ground work for a group of men joining Justiss Alliance a private security firm. The men in this novella are all part of a SEAL team that does not successfully complete their mission and therefore must bare the consequences, they are no longer SEALs. The novella details the mission and as they all head home to regroup we get a look at each man's character.

My only complaint - the men's names were a little too similar to me and I had a hard time keeping them all straight in my head. I hope this gets better when they all have their own book.

This book does not have any romantic elements.

I did enjoy it a lot and the confusion is the reason for the 4 star rather than 5 star review, I have already started the first full length book.

This is a short novella-length story that gives you a spectacular glimpse into the lives of the characters that will be making their debut in the Justiss Alliance series. Wild Hearts definitely wets your appetite for the series to come. Sexy, conflicted, alpha men with love knocking on their door just as their life's work and honor are questioned. Now we just need a little more on this mysterious leader, and the playing field would be set. Don't miss Wild Hearts, an imaginative jump start to Justiss Alliance.

Great set up to a new series. Been saving my novellas til the end of the year when time to read is at a premium and novellas promise to give me the best option for great stories in the least number of pages. I will definitely give this series a chance. Each SEAL has been publicly disgraced even though they followed their orders to the best of their ability but something went wrong with their intell. Each man home from their SEAL commitment now needs to find their way in the non-SEAL world. Each man has their own issues which have been introduced to the reader. Sounds good, but will these guys be special and endearing?only time will tell, I will give tithe benefit of the doubt and read on....

This book is an excellent start to a new series. The characters are incredibly developed for such a short novella and it didn't feel short at all. Nothing was rushed and it was all very intriguing. It's definitely a lead in that makes me want to read ALL of their stories. These are a bunch of complicated guys, coming from different circumstances but they have one thing that holds them together and that's their honor. These are truly Alpha Heroes and it should be an interesting ride to see it all play out.

I thought that this story did a great job of introducing a new series. We get the background of what went wrong and how the guys got screwed over. Then there was a chapter with each guy, letting us get to know them better as individuals. I liked the dinner at the end where they were all together again, checking in with each other and planning their future. I look forward to reading more in this series, to see about the new job, and how the guys fit in.

You can find this review and others on blog here!

Warning to those who have yet read about the Justiss Alliance boys, you will be foaming at the mouth for a chance to be a room with even one of the Ex-SEALs. To those who have read the series, as I have, I approve of your choice of reading and applaud to those who haven’t been evacuated yet to the nearest hospitable for multiple heart problems because mine was beating too erratically and often stopped.

Welcome to the Justiss Alliance where 5 Ex-SEALs have the choice to join and be apart of an agency whose sole purpose is to attain justice for those who can’t. When a covert mission goes wrong and they are to blame, putting their careers in tatters, what is left for Risk, Rath, Saxby, Julian and Knox when everything they have know as a SEAL is taken away? Being fired was enough but now the country believes their team went rogue on a mission and are now being labeled as the “Rogue Six”. When offered to return to a field of work similar to what they have been trained for as a SEAL by Chase Justiss, CEO of Justiss Alliance, the five former SEALs make the decision to join up and continue to do what they love to do.

This is a novella and prequel, introducing you to each SEAL who will have their own story in the series:

Rick (Risk) Yarbrough
Julian (Salsa) Cuevas
Saxby (Sooch) Cole
Knox (Maverick) Logan
Rathmusen (Rath) Blackwood

Wild Hearts introduces readers you to the characters, giving the backstory to their so called ‘rogue’ mission and helps us understand each SEAL before we dive into their own stories.

I stumbled upon this series by actually reading the third book in the series first before I realized it was a series. Each book can be read as a standalone, so far there are three, and each is about a SEAL with their own missions and happily ever after. I decided to go back to NetGalley and try to binge read the novella and the first two books and I must say I can’t believe I was missing out!

I loved how this novella gave us some insight on each man, we get to see how they interact not only as partners in combat but also brothers. I enjoyed seeing the banter between the 5 guys, and also see what each went through once they finally went home. Each had their own problems to deal with and some were heart wrenching and exciting enough for me eagerly wanting the next books.

Book #1 Wild on You is Rick’s (Risk) story and you do not want to miss it!

Thank you NetGalley and to Loveswept for providing me with a copy, I award the novella with 4 stars and can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Over and out.

Meet the SEAL team known as the Rogue Six after a botched mission leaves them out of a job and maligned:

Rick 'Risk' Yarbrough
Julian 'Salsa' Cuevas
Saxby 'Sooch' Cole
Rath 'Psycho' Blackwood
Knox Logan

This was my first read by author Tina Wainscott, and I couldn't resist the cover or the promise of romantic suspense involving Navy SEALs. This brief introduction to the series begins with the event that lead to the team's fall from grace, and set up their first meeting with the mysterious CEO Chase Justiss of The Justiss Alliance, a security and risk management firm (I couldn't stop calling it The Justice League in my head).

This novella was seven chapters long, and aside from the mission, each subsequent chapter gave us a look into the lives of each SEAL on their home turf. Each and every one of them had some sort of family problem, but I did enjoy finding out their reasons for joining the military. What stood out the most to me was that some of the families had their reasons for wanting their boy to stay put, either to help out in the family business or to put down roots, but those men didn't train so hard and dedicate their lives to their country for so long only to throw in the towel at the first sign of trouble. Even though each of them had a good reason to want to flee from home, at the core, they still believed in honor, commitment and seeking justice for others and for themselves. I think it will be interesting to read about their search for the alleged traitor and finding out what types of women will snag these honorable soldiers and soothe their tortured souls.

However, and this will depend on a reader's personal preference, I usually enjoy discovering a hero's present and past as the story moves along, but here the mystery behind each man was removed, to a point. Therefore, do I find it absolutely necessary to read this before diving into the new series? Not really. Not unless the author doesn't plan on rehashing some of the facts we've gleaned here. Regardless of the existence of this intro novella, I still would have picked up the first real story in this series.

Tina Wainscott's Wild on You is a five star, must-read, suspenseful romance with an alpha hero and kick-ass heroine you'll fall in love with!

I’m in a really happy place when I find a new author and series that just is so darn good that I can’t put the book down. It doesn’t matter what genre it is - contemporary, paranormal, romantic suspense, military, historical - if that author sweeps my reader mind away to his or her characters and settings in a way that everything else falls away. It’s a keeper and I’ll recommend it highly.

That said if you like and/or love romantic suspense and military romances, get out and purchase Tina Wainscott’s new books, Wild Hearts (prequel) and Wild on You (book one), in her Justiss Alliance series. They are fabulous, can’t-put-it-down, page-turning reads.

I was given Wild on You by Tina’s publisher to read for review, but before I started it, wanted to see what other titles she had out there. I quickly discovered the prequel, Wild Hearts, hit the buy button on Amazon and $0.99 later, started to read.

Oh my goodness, I am so glad I picked up that prequel, because not only does it set up the back story of the failed mission of the Navy SEAL team in Mexico, but it has character sketches of all the team members to die for. Seriously, I wanted to read more about each of them immediately, as they’re so well described and interesting. None of these heroes are super heroes in an unbelievable way, but have been carefully given real-life family and friend issues to deal with in addition to the things they carry forward from their military service. Factor in their military service and you’ll know these are the alpha heroes you’ve been looking for in a romance series. Now, if I could just get that image of Sax and the hammock out of my frost locked brain, I’d be happy, because I don’t think his story will be told for a bit!

As I’m still riding the crest of adrenaline-spiked euphoria, it’s an easy decision to award Wild Hearts five stars. a great introduction to Tina Wainscott's must-read, fast-paced, can’t-put-it-down suspenseful series that you’ll fall in love with too!

When Risk and his team of Navy SEALs are sent on a top secret black ops mission in Mexico they have no idea how much trouble they are about to land in. Bad intel and a possible betrayal turns their well planned mission into a complete nightmare and with the government needing to deny all involvement the team has to take the fall. Dishonourably discharged from the Navy with their reputations in tatters the men have to find a new path. That's where the Justiss Alliance comes in offering them all the chance to use their special skills to bring about justice for those who can't find it for themselves. The Justiss Alliance operates by their own rules and has it's own code of honour - they're willing to break all the rules as long as it means achieving the right results.

As soon as I heard about Tina Wainscott's Justiss Alliance series I knew I wanted to read it so I couldn't wait to start Wild Hearts the prequel novella. This story is very short (around 70 pages) so I'll warn you now there isn't much of a story here. You do get to follow the team on their mission to Mexico to see exactly how things went down and how badly they were treated afterwards even though they'd just been following orders, that only takes around 20% of the book though so doesn't go into a huge amount of detail. The rest of the time is spent introducing the five main characters Risk, Rath, Saxby, Knox and Julian. The men have just returned home and are struggling to adjust to their new situation and being known as failures instead of heroes. They had to sign a non-disclosure agreement so they can't even tell their families about what actually happened to set the record straight. I really enjoyed getting to see a little about each of their backgrounds, the reasons they joined the SEALs in the first place and what compels them to take up Chase's offer of a job with the Justiss Alliance.

Wild Hearts is an interesting start to the series, it doesn't have as much of a story as I was expecting but it is a great introduction to the characters and I have high hopes for the rest of the series. Each of these characters will take the lead in one book where they'll get to find their own happily ever after starting with Risk in Wild on You which is out in February.

Is there anything hotter than our Arm Forces ok cowboys are hot too but are Navy Seals have to be right up there at the top. The author brings to life the beginning of Justiss Alliance series with how Risk, Rath, Saxby, Knox, and Julian became a part of it. We get to read how it all got started, what set the men off and have their life’s as Seals torn away from them.

I do find this story believable I have no doubt the government will or even has turned their back on a few good men when it comes to making our country look good, someone must take the fall which in this case are the proud, the brave men who gave all. These men follow orders are proud of their job, give 120 percent to our country and then some. They love the action, the thrills of protecting and serving their country. When an assignment goes back they take the fall. A few good men become a few bad men in the eyes of their peers, unjustified they are left to hang in the media. One man Chase Justiss, CEO of Justiss Alliance a security sees through the red tape. He makes it his mission to find out just what happen for he needs a few good men to help him take on the world and their unjust ways.

This is a short novella which gives you the back ground on each man, why they became seals, why it was important to serve their county and how that county used them as scapegoats. There is no romance just a wonderful setup to a series that looks to be outstanding, full of thrills, action, suspense and maybe a little bit or romance.

I really enjoyed Wild Hearts it answered a few question I had on each men but left me we a few more. I am not sure if I had read this first if I would have read the others in this series. Which my first book was Wild Ways that has hooked me and wanting more. This makes a nice add on to give background to a series that will keep you on the edge of your seats asking for more, more, more from our men of the arm forces.

Wild Hearts by Tina Wainscott is a prequel/novella introducing readers to her new series Justiss Alliance.
This is my first book by Tina Wainscott; but it definitely won't be my last. This book captured my attention immediately. You are introduced to Rick Yarbrough (Risk), Julian Cuevas (Salsa), Saxby Cole (Sooch), Knox Logan (Maverick) and Rathmusen Blackwood (Rath). They are all members of a Navy SEALs team that was on a black ops mission that goes wrong. They are thrown under the bus by the government and discharged from the Navy after signing a non-disclosure agreement. Their reputations are shattered but they still believe in honor, commitment and seeking justice for others and for themselves. The reader is also introduced to Chase Justiss, the CEO of Justiss Alliance, who meets up with the 5 SEALs after their discharge hearing. He offers them a chance to work for him once they have had some "down time". He knows what these men have just been through and he's there for them if they decide to continue trying to provide justice for others.

The first chapter describes the mission and the debacle that followed. Then the following chapters introduce us to each one of these alpha males and their families and backgrounds. Rick, Julian, Saxby, Knox and Rath all have their personal reasons for joining the military and readers get a small look into their personal worlds in this story. Their backgrounds, training and commitment to each other are what make these men the "alpha" heros that I enjoy reading about in romantic suspense. I will be reading the next one in the series WILD ON YOU which will be released in February.

This novella introduces us to the main characters of the series, how they became a rogue SEAL team, and how they met Justiss. Rahthmusen “Rath” Blackwood comes from a Tennessee family that just doesn’t seem to be making much of their lives. He’s the hold out from the Justiss team and the one dedicated to finding out how the “defuckle” happened. Saxby “Sooch” Cole comes from a long line of cheating men down in Louisiana. He has a brother who lost both of his legs from a bomb while serving in the military. Julian “Salsa” Cuevas comes from a criminal family in Orlando, Florida who immigrated to the US from Puerto Rico. Knox Logan grew up on a ranch in Montana and is currently in the middle of a divorce from his high school sweet heart. He’s emotionally closed off due to tragic past events. Rick “Risk” Yarbrough is a base jumping adrenaline junkie who used the adrenaline to deal with his childhood. He’s the first to sign on to the Justiss team. Chase Justiss is the mystery man who started the company after events that sound similar to what happened to these men.

I enjoyed this brief intro into the insights of men we’ll be seeing a lot more of. It’s nice to get a peek into their heads and thought processes and to see their relationships with each other.

It’s $0.99 plus tax for all the formats I checked but honestly I keep waffling over whether or not it is worth it. It is interesting and kind of fun, but it doesn't seem to be required for understanding the rest of the series.

This short novella tells the history of how Rick "Risk" Yarbrough, Rathmuesen "Rath" Blackwood, Jullian Cuevas, Knox Logan and Saxby " Sax" Logan were dishonorably discharged from the Navy Seals following a mission that could not have gone more wrong. As they prepare to each go their own way they meet Chase Justiss, the CEO of The Justiss Alliance Security and Risk Management, a company that obtains justice that sometimes means working outside the parameters of the law.

Tina Wainscott provides a brief glimpse into what each member of the team confronts as they return home after they are slaughtered in the press. You will also learn about their personal backgrounds and how they react to Chase Justiss' job offer and their desire to find "The Wolf", who is believed to be behind their last wet op. If you like military alpha types you are going to love this series. Each member as well as Chase Justiss is to have their own book. First up will be Rick Yarborough in Wild on You followed by Julian Cuevas's story in Wild Ways. I am looking forward to being able to read all their stories. Well done Ms. Wainscott, you have developed some awesome characters I can't wait to hear more from.

Wild Hearts by Tina Wainscott

A marvelous kick-off for the Justiss Alliance series!

Tina Wainscott utilizes a teaser novella to introduce her new series of the Navy Seal team that will become the Justiss Alliance. Five soldiers entangled in a black ops assignment gone wrong become the fall-guys of a cover-up. Artfully crafted each of the team members is given a chapter at point to show how they handle this situation.

Wainscott proves her ability to tell a good story full of suspense and intrigue. She is adept at pulling the reader into the world she creates and keeps them there until she is ready to let go. While there isn’t the usual depiction of romance in this novella, there are plenty of suggestions where it will come in the ensuing series.

With the potential of six more books, each team member’s chapter expands into a full novel with the addition of Chase Justiss. He is the elusive founder of the Justiss Alliance. A security company of sorts, with a lot more “man” power than the average body-guard or mall cop. Security is a loosely based title of this company as it involves operations much like what the Seal team is discharged from.

This novella is written so well that the reader’s expectation of the next 3 books is sure to be pleased upon their release in February 2014. For further information please visit the website of Tina Wainscott: http://tinawainscott.com/

Kassiah: Wild Hearts is unlike any novella I've ever read. A preview to the Justiss Alliance series, we are introduced to the characters and the mission that gets them discharged from the SEALs.

This is an interesting storyline; I'm just not crazy about having to read a novella in order to appreciate the rest of the books in the series. I'm used to romance books, whether they're novellas or not, to have an actual romance in them, and this didn't.

With that being said,I liked this story and think the premise for the series is a good one. I'm looking forward to getting to know the characters and finding out about the girls who knock them off their feet(s). I can't wait to get to know Saxby, especially, since he's a Louisiana boy with real Southern manners.

Wild Hearts is an introduction to the men who will be the heroes of Tina Wainscott’s new romantic suspense series. The story in this book is all about the set up; how their SEAL team is literally set up for a mission by bad intelligence information, how the military brass is caught between the rock of appearing to do something about the Mexican cartels and the hard place of having a black operation caught on camera by an unproved corrupt operator; until the only option left is for the SEALs to cut loose five of their best men. To finish the story, readers get an up close and personal look at what each man left behind, and why the SEALs were their best hope of redemption. Now that the military is closed to them, they are all looking at a new path, the one dangled in front of them by former military operative Chase Justiss, another rogue with a conscience but little respect for the rules. Verdict: This prequel novella is a terrific teaser for what looks like it will be a high adrenaline romantic suspense series. Recommended for fans of military-flavored romantic suspense, but readers might want to wait until the first complete novel in the series (Wild on You) comes out in February.

Wild Hearts, by Tina Wainscott, is a quick, intriguing introduction to the Justiss Aliance and a group of former Navy SEALS who will work there.

Six Navy SEALS were on an unofficial mission in Mexico...one that went horribly wrong, and only five came home. No one, not even the SEALS, know the full story. The SEALS are left to take the fall though. Tainted as 'rogue' SEALS they are readjusting to life as a civilian way sooner than they imagined they would have to. They are no longer SEALS, but the call to duty remains strong, the fight for justice and right still drives them. If they join the secretive Justiss Alliance, it might just give them and others what is needed.

Tina writes a great novella in Wild Hearts. She gives us enough background to catch your interest and want to follow these men and the action that is sure to follow with them. I liked how she did this, taking us into each of the former SEAL's lives for a brief period, learning just enough about their backgrounds to understand them a bit better and really look forward to where they go from here!

If you are looking to start a new series with strong, hot, alpha men, I think you will like this one! I'm really looking forward to where Tina takes us in the Justiss Alliance series.

What a great introduction novella to this new series by Tina Wainscott, about 5 black ops Navy SEALS. In this novella we meet Risk, Rath, Saxby, Knox, and Julian and I have to say I really loved how we were introduced to each character, with a chapter devoted to sharing a bit of their background with us and the type of person they are. This novella had me hooked from the first page and I ended up reading it in one sitting.

Initially, these guys are part of a military black ops mission that goes wrong and when they are made the scapegoats, they are relieved of their duties and left try to work out where they go from there. Enter Chase Justiss, who offers them positions in his security company and a chance to continue doing similar work to their military careers. Chase is a mystery in himself and he and his company really intrigues me as to where this series will go.

This promises to be a series full of suspense, action and intrigue as well as some steamy romance. We will be treated to 6 books, 1 for each character and I can't wait to follow the journeys of these men.

ARC copy provided by Netgalley for an honest review.....

Wild Hearts introduces you to the group of Navy SEALs nicknamed the “Rogue Six” after a mission goes horribly wrong. We get to learn their background and what sets the on the course to joining the Justiss Alliance. Rick (nicknamed Risk) is an adrenaline junky. Rath is determined to go back to Mexico and find out exactly what went wrong on that last mission. Saxby is the the rich boy oozing in charm and most eligible bachelor in his hometown because of his family’s name and money. Knox is recently divorced and living with the guilt of his sister’s death. Julian is running from his family that wants him to stick around and join in the family business of organized crime.

All in all, this book did exactly as it was intended. It whet my appetite for the series. Yum yum. Luckily, it looks like Risk's story is first. :-).
