There is one family in King’s Fall that has it all. The night before the wedding, a thief is paid to steal the ring and two men corner a grieving daughter outside the shop where her mother was brutally murdered. Chaos ensues as two vastly different women are chased into the haunted forest behind Fowler Manor. It is in their meeting under the moonlight that a mistake is made. For one is the thief and one is a woman with a poisonous secret. Taken from the woods, tensions are high as three people stand at the top of the aerie and realize… someone has set them all up.

Aravis Blightwood, the Lord Commander and High Protector of the realm. A stiffy, work-a-holic man with very little social awareness that is but an illusion of the true monster beneath his feathers. Serias, the druid and thief. A nymph who is in over her head and on the hook for many debts. and lastly, Hazel Brown, a woman who seems like a shifter and realm-renowned potion-making witch. A secret she’s desperate to keep hidden is threatened to spill out when she is accosted by her mother’s murderers. The murder that was ordered by the very man who is willing to pay all of Serias’ debts for one simple theft- Donnie Lighte.

Under the guise of a throuple relationship, the three will have to brave the world of glamorous people, old money, and even older grudges. Now that they’re picking at the threads of this mystery, the stakes get higher…. Because it’s not just Fergus Fowler they’re after. Someone is pulling the strings and they will stop at nothing to get what they want, including destroying the three lovers.

A Fowl Company is a Dark Fantasy Romance. The romance in this book is fluffy and sweet and funny. However, please read all TW and CW’s as the plot points in this book contain many topics that may not be suitable for all readers.

THE ARCIEST OF ARC READERS HAS STRUCK AGAIN.

Okay first off I was WAYY TOO EXCITED for Lizzie to enter her unhinged dark era after all the super duper cute stuff and I was BLESSED with this amazing chaos.

A Fowl Company is basically for the peeps who felt something stir when they saw Howl’s Bird form. Who like a little darkness. Who like a bit of cute with their spooky. Who like fake dating, and several mysteries. Who like when people who don’t think they deserve love find it doubly. For those who have a little familial trauma. Lizzie, I still need to bill you for my therapy.

The chaos throuple will snag you with their claws and vines and wings and keep you entertained the whole way through.

This book is MFF and 18+ for spicy content and dark themes. Check tw and cw

I am in LOVE with this book.. and the cover?? I will be getting this in paperback form ASAP. This quickly became one of my top reads of the year. I really love how Avaris, Serias, and hazel all balance each other out. This was such a fun read! The plot was great and interesting, the characters had the perfect depth, plus this is a monster romance with TENTACLES. Lizzie pulled out all the stops with this smutty little masterpiece and I can not wait to see what she comes up with next 🙃💜💜🦇

Aravis was just the sweetest grumpiest socially awkward Fowlst man. He had his strong sense of justice and got his world turned upside down by Serias and Hazel. Hazel was grieving her murdered mother and in grave danger herself. She was sunshiny and intelligent. Serias was silly and used humor as a defense mechanism and she was deeply lonely. They crashed together via their circumstances and the fake dating while all in danger brought them close quickly. The murder mystery was intense and the spice was spicing.

Lizzie’s books feel like spring to me. Refreshing, funny, filled with life and love and good vibes. This is joy and hilarity and happiness rolled into one story. I loved all of the characters, there was mystery around every corner, and I actually really appreciated the gruesome aspect to certain scenes. It made me feel surprisingly satisfied to have such terrible deeds be met with such deserved justice. The sexy scenes were, as always, delicious. And the ending left me with happy ‘ooh what’s next!’ Tingles. I just loved it and I can’t wait to read more of the authors books. This world is so fun :D

Get you a girl who can do both (the fluffiness and the darkness) - it's Lizzie!

Lizzie's work usually leans heavy on sweet, cute, fluffy themes (especially in the romance) with just an edge of darkness. A Fowl Company flips that - the world and plot of this story are very dark, adventurous, dangerous. But between nightmare realms and undead siblings and political intrigue and skewering bad guys on trees, the romance at the heart of this story still has that generous helping of Lizzie Strong sweetness!

The different POVs of Hazel, Aravis, and Serias were each so distinct and their opening scenes were so bold and strong! The way they converge, the way they each need the others' help in order to accomplish their goals, and the peeks into each of their mindsets strike such a powerful balance.

This book is the first in a series, and I really hope we'll see more of this trio, because I'm not ready to put them down at the end of this book 🥺🥺

Absolutely amazing!! I got this book for free during a stuff your kindle event and I’m shocked at how much this book made me fall head over heels in love!! The humor, the mystery solving, the spice, the poly romance, the DND references, I could go on forever.

This story is about a trio meeting under completely unfortunate circumstances and working together to solve a mystery behind recent crime, kidnappings, and a possible murder plot. We have Aravis a serious and awkward leader, Serias a sassy and smart mouth thief, and Hazel a kind and mysterious shifter. Along the way, they all fall in love with one another and realize what it means to be their best selves and be a family. My first ever MFF read. In addition, the writing style is AMAZING. I seriously loved it so much. This world is so full of magic and any type of DND character you could think possible. I laughed, I cried, I blushed.

I am in need of the second book now please!!!

This is another great monster romance in the King’s Fall Universe (also listed as A Nightmare in King's Fall, Book 1). Like others in the King’s Fall series, it’s interconnected but can be read out of order with only minor spoilers. This book is packed with action, mystery, family drama, and, of course, plenty of spice. While it has a satisfying resolution, the ending includes a bit of a cliffhanger, leaving room for more of the story to unfold.

I loved the throuple! The MMC is a fowlist protector of the realm, one FMC is a potion making shifter, and the other FMC is a druid/thief. Their relationship begins during a heist gone wrong, which quickly turns into a fake-dating situation. They all have distinct and compelling personalities, and I loved watching them catch feelings.

Strong does a great job of outlining content warnings at the beginning for those with sensitivities, as the book features unconventional relationship dynamics and horror elements.

I truly enjoyed this book. Even though it gets dark at some points it truly felt like some cozy fantasy. Reading this was akin to a warm hug. 

The characters are all very interested but just imagining hazel and her racoon antics definitely were my favourite. 

My only two points of critique, I would have liked a little bit more of a slow burn. Them falling in love with eachother immediately felt a bit unrealistic (I know... Shocker for a fantasy book 😝). And the ending dragged on slightly too long with the plot twist being a bit too sudden. 

But overal I would and will definitely recommend this book to anyone. It kept me engaged and the smut was a delight to read. Definitely gotta try some other works by this author

Wow! This book was a rollercoaster of feelings, but I absolutely loved it!

First, please, please, please be sure you read Lizzie's trigger warnings for this book. No matter this good I think this book is, it's not going to be for everyone and those trigger warnings are there for a reason.

I adored Hazel, Serias, and Aravis in this book. They each have such different personalities, but they work so well together. Reading about their journey together, everything they go through, it's so easy to become attached to these three. I really hope to see more of them in future King's Fall books.

This is a delightful romp full of steam and adventure with heavy D&D flavors. I really liked how distinct every character was and how well this fake-dating turned real attraction throuple worked together. The timeline was very rushed, but worked for an intsa-love story, especially since the plot was action packed, with lots of creative magic and deep character growth. Hazel in particular was a complex character who grew in a very natural way over the course of the story. Highly recommend for monster lovers who want plenty of action to balance out the sexy-times. This story is sure to be an extra delight to D&D fans.

I absolutely loved this.
The way everything blended together between humor, mystery, secrets and spice - it was the perfect storm.

Lizzie never disappoints with her writing and the detail she puts into not just the book, but the characters and every complex detail.
You get the whole package.

The actual relationship between the characters is beautiful and pure, and it just really makes you wanna smile.

All the good feels. All the mystery in Kings Fall.

Lizzie has done it again. I'm in love with the story and all of the characters. Especially ones that feature tentacles, feathers, a bit of mystery, and plenty of chaos. The main characters: Hazel, Serias, and Aravis all balance each other out well and their relationship is the effin cutest.
There is so much to say for Lizzie's world and the detail and effort she puts into her work. I can't wait for the next installment in King's Fall.

Aravis is a hilarious curmudgeon, Serias and Hazel get thrown into this world of his and they each bring their own form of humor. A Fowl Company is a great stand-alone in the King's Fall line of stories. Thank goodness it's getting a sequel because I'm feeling for more bird man.
