Ditto yes Im going to repeat myself yet again as Ive had another sleepless night as I burned through the latest book in Project Eden thrillers in this amazing storyline. I haven't stopped reading this series from the minute I picked up book 1 Sick!
Sheesh.... its....unputdownable!
I love, love, love this series, its descriptive and Bretts words put you right there in the middle of everything; all you need is the gasmask! I'm so emotionally involved with the characters....what have you done to me...I care what they are thinking and doing, Im right there next to them.
We continue to watch as resistance this time fights all out against the governmental lies to try and warn the survivors. But who will the people believe?
In Eden Rising we find out how the resistance was formed and of course we are left with some exciting new questions and twists; and yet another incredible cliffhanger its not what I thought was going to happen.
I have to say every book improves on the last as we find out yet more about Project Eden and those trying to stop them, its exciting, convincing as well as believable and thrilling. Each book in this Project Eden series has given us something different and has never lost its momentum; the plots are so well developed and the suspense is built up so well.
Im completely addicted with no cure till Brett decides to end this amazing series, although Im not sure I want this to end...sniff sniff...my world will be empty.... Keepem coming Brett pleeease!
Its actually made me really think...seriously...how we would cope with such a disaster, should we be preparing....would you risk your lives for others?
Highly recommended series but start at book one Sick and read them in order, if you love your dysotonian and post apocalyptic reads you will love the unique twists and turns to this series.

The 5 book in this series is totally "sit on the edge of your seat". I have never been so emotionally involved in a series before. I read these one after the other. Thought this book would wrap the story with a neat bow. WRONG!! In 2014 a 6th book will be released. These are MUST read for thrilling and scary fans. I give it 100 stars. :)

Another great instalment in the Project Eden series. Epic end-of-the-world series by Brett Battles. People all over the world are trying to survive the Sage flu epidemic as the Earth's population goes under the one billion mark. This is a great adventure novel and endearing characters. Looking forward to the next.

Solid Succession, Surprising Ending. This book superbly continues the tale of PROJECT EDEN, the Sage Flu, and the Resistance. Battles does a superb job of illustrating just how shocking such a world would be to any survivors, and even manages to introduce some things most would likely not consider. And that ending... with very nearly the very last words of the book, the storyline is irrevocably changed. Superb.

This is definitely not my favorite book in this series so far. I usually don't get involved in series that are more than 3 or 4 books so I feel like this is taking forever to get through. I'll keep reading them because at this point I'm invested and need to know how this all wraps up but I'm not really in a rush to after this book. Sure, I'm curious as to what's going to happen next but I just feel like there's so much weird filler in these books sometimes.

Sadly, this was not as good as the previous books. Brandon is too boring and annoying, becoming more and more like his deus ex machina father. The Ash family is truly the worst set of main characters. They bring this amazing story down.
The rest of the book, though, was pretty fantastic and the last few pages were insane, so I'm excited for the next one!

This is another dazzling monument to the talent of the author. I don’t recall any book in the series being weaker than the others. This is a strong and excellent addition to the series.
There is so much humanity in this series and in this book. That's one of the things you will long remember after you've moved on to a different title. This held me spellbound throughout the day, and I'm still thinking about it hours after I finished it.
This will be a hard book to review because you see what's happening through a variety of points of view. There's a tiny group of patriots who strive to defeat Project Eden. Project Eden is a cabal of elites who want very desperately to depopulate the earth and then maintain iron control over the few survivors. You will embrace the story of a tiny cadre of patriots currently living in Montana but striving to escape to an alternate place where they can be safe. This little group has fought against Project Eden from its inception. Group members devised a vaccine that is successful against the killing Sage Flu. The group's goal is to ensure that Project Eden members do not ultimately gain control of the world.
I'm fascinated by how well the author intertwines the varying points of view in the book. You have a lovely young couple from India who are striving to keep a tiny group of survivors alive and finding ways to vaccinate them. You have a group of female college athletes who for whatever reason never got the flu. The author tells their survival story with much skill. I particularly enjoy reading about Martina, whose quiet strength appeals to me. She is striving for a reunion with her boyfriend, Ben. He faces his own set of troubles in the book. There's a young college student in Wisconsin who seems to be the only survivor of the flu on her campus. She deems it necessary to escape and head toward Chicago.
While radio and television is silent as the book opens, it suddenly comes to life with messages from someone purporting to be from the United Nations. He promises plenty of vaccine and lots of warm, comfortable dwelling places for those who remain alive. They must strive to get to one of the survival stations. The problem is that this is not the United Nations. It's Project Eden trying to find more ways to kill more people so that those who survive are truly among the elite and governable.
If you start this, you aren't going to spend a lot of time staring at the progress bar in your audio player trying to determine how much remains. You will immerse yourself in the stories of these people from throughout the globe. I can't wait to dig into the next book, but I'm going to give it a bit of a pause so that I don't burn out on it. I would vociferously encourage you to start with the first book in the series before you read this. Yes, the author describes characters and events in previous books in a tiny encapsulation at the beginning of this book. But you can't get the full impact of this plot unless you read all the first five books. I hope you will. I have been hugely impressed throughout this series with the excellence of the storylines and the smooth and seamless ability of this author to weave them all together.

Each book in the series continues to get better and better! The resistance seems to be making progress, however there is a cost for progress. There are no spoiler alerts, but when I got to the end of the book, I was upset, angry, and anxious to move to the next book. You will feel the same.
Some of you reading my review may wonder why I am not giving a lot of details. If someone who is reading this, who has not read the series, I definitely don't want to give anything away. Start from the first book. You will be addicted. The first book is titled, sick.

This being book number 5 in the series I was a bit worried it might be a little slow and drag on a bit but the pace is awesome in Eden Rising and the story lines are exciting and still full of surprises. Love the way Brett Battles writes. Can't wait to read the next two books!

I actually switched to the audiobook version for this particular segment of the story and cannot stress enough how much more enjoyable it was. The narrator does a fantastic job with voices and bringing this world to life

Notes:
Macleod Andrews was great. Normally, I enjoy Battles' books. This series makes less sense with each book. I'll take a break from the series and maybe return to it next year.

Book 5 in the Project Eden franchise and I would have to say the weakest so far,this is still a good book but just falls short of what has gone before.

It’s New Years Eve and a message is being transmitted across the world, supposedly by the United Nations, urging any survivors of the Sage Flu pandemic to go to designated checkpoints for immunisation against the flu.
Belinda Ramsey has been shut away in her dorm room at the college throughout the holidays keeping a journal of her thoughts, feelings and day-to-day life. When she heard the message she was so relieved to think her self-imposed exile would be over soon.
Sanjay and Kusum, however, are not fooled and attempt a daring rescue at the Mumbai ‘immunisation’ facility.
Pax and his team have been marooned on Amund Ringness Island by a storm since they arrived to search for Bluebird. They’d had no contact with the outside world for a week. Pax had no idea if Ash had succeeded in the attempt to stop Implementation Day.
Thoughts
The tension and suspense remain sky-high in the fifth story of this amazing series. The skipping from place to place and group to group helps to maintain the level of anticipation and foreboding. The character development is wonderful and the isolated groups of survivors and their stories all combine to make this an edge of the seat ride.
It was interesting to get to know how and why the Resistance was formed, I couldn’t help but feel for Matt. But will his dangerous plan succeed.
What will happen to Martina and will she find Ben. Has Belinda made the right decision. Will Sanjay and Kusum and their ever-growing group continue to survive. Are the people on Isabella Island safe at last.

Great book. I like how the different factions mentioned in the previous books are finally starting to combine. This book had a bit of an ending. I'm glad it wasn't a total cliffhanger. I will make the effort to read the final two books.
This is an easy read. Don't expect extravagant descriptions or deep character developments. This read is for fun. I can totally see this made into a movie.

Exciting and thrilling continuation of the "Project Eden" series. Some people get what's coming to them, and there are some sad losses for the good guys.. The question is, will the survivors of Sage Flu be able to fight the Project Eden bad guys, and will there be enough people left to continue and rebuild the human race? I can't wait for the next book!

The population is getting smaller and smaller everyday, can captin Ash and the resistance stop project eden from making the epidimic spread even more?

WOW! 5 stars does not cover this series of books, to say I'm hooked would be a huge understatement. I've read all the books in order and don't see them as 7 books, but as one. I've already started 6, and won't stop.

Brett Battles strikes again. Eden Rising is the best in the series since Sick. And saying that is quite an accomplishment since all the books in this series are really good. Ok bring on book six.
