My Review:
Queen of Storms grabbed my attention right at page one and didn't let go until I finished the book. Actually, I am still thinking about the book and Gerry and Cassie.
I've always been intrigued with tarot cards so I was very anxious to read Ms. White's book.

There isn't much background on Gerry and Cassie but that doesn't detract at all from the storyline. The story moves along quickly and there is great detail in the description of the tarot deck backs and the cards themselves, one in particular- Queen of Storms.

The card seems to have a life of it's own and it quickly draws Gerry into the unknown world of the Queen herself. During a storm, Gerry sees the Queen and gives chase as she runs away. He is drawn in to her exquisite beauty and can't seem to quit thinking about the card and the woman.

Cassie is a little creeped out by the mysterious deck and it's ability to seem alive. Cassie has to leave the lake house when her mother is injured and taken to the hospital. She can't believe what she sees when she returns a few days later.

Queen of Stars is a quick read that is well written and will have you sitting on the edge of your seat not knowing what to expect next. The sex scenes are hawt and takes your breath away.

I love how Ms. White is able to bring surprises into the plot the reader never sees coming. I strongly recommend this book to everyone. I am looking forward to reading the next book, Temptation.

I just finished reading Queen of Storms, the latest release from the mistress of erotic horror, Ashen White. Having a background in Tarot, I am always interested when the magic and mystery of the cards are woven into fiction. Queen of Storms tells the story of Gerry O’Keith and his introduction to the enigmatic Tarot of the Acolyte. I went into this story not knowing quite what to expect – I was hooked in the first two pages. Ms. White’s power of description reminds me of Anne Rice, her feel for suspense and timing reminiscent of horror master Steven King and when it comes to Tarot – suffice to say she knows her subject backwards and forwards.

I finished this breathless thrill ride in one sitting, only to start over and devour it again for any crumbs I may have missed the first time around. Ashen White has created a tale of heart stopping horror entwined with sensual eroticism. With compelling characters and a breakneck pace storyline, I turned page after page dying to find out what happened next. Queen of Storms is what I hope is the first of many such tales – I am hungry for more!

Gerry O'Keith seems like a man who has it all. The beautiful girlfriend, the dream cottage by a gorgeous lake so isolated he and his lady Cassie Bettancouer can make love and relax on the shore safe from prying eyes.
It is on a run into the nearby town of Orangeville that his life takes an unexpected turn. An old bookshop draws him in and inside he meets an ancient crone who is the perfect stereotype of a witch. Alarm bells should have been ringing but Gerry is fascinated by her and her shop and when she shows him a mysterious silver box he hands over $200 without even examining his purchase properly.
Only when he and Cassie return to the cottage does he discover just how beautiful the Tarot cards are. hand painted and strangely warm to the touch, Ashen White, describes the cards in such exquisite detail that you can almost picture yourself holding them in your hands.
One card in particular fascinates Gerry, The Queen of Storms!
As a huge thunderstorm shakes the cottage and tears the night apart Gerry finds himself in the forest, snared by thorns and confronting the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. The problem is he has seen her before on the Tarot cards. She is the Queen of Storms and she wants him!
Ashen White writes with such wonderful clarity and imagery that you are drawn deep into the tale as she weaves ancient Irish legend and pulse quickening erotica into a powerful mix that leaves you breathless!
The story builds to a climax in more ways than one and shocks the reader as one thread ends and another takes off that will have you rushing to grab the next book in the series.
Wonderful, erotic, scary and thrilling. Ashen White may well be the new Queen of sexy thrills!

I recieved a copy of this book in return for an honest, impartial review.

Before Columbus sailed for the New World and wolves still roamed the streets of Paris, fortune tellers and necromancers were shuffling the 78 cards of the Tarot to divine the future, this esoteric practise like an ear-whispered doctrine passed down to the occultists and crystal gazers of today.

George O'Keith is a collector of the arcane and extraordinary – what’s more he’s got the money to dabble, a lady to die for, the lakeside cottage (that calls out for a horror story), even a Harley straight out of Easy Rider. When he acquires a Tarot deck from a wizened old gypsy, he’s skeptical about the power of the cards. He spreads a mandala on the table and, astonishingly, unexpectedly, his cosy life becomes the perfect storm: the Queen of Storms.

This is Ashen White at her best, compulsive, daring, with a touch of humour as she takes us on a tornado ride into the dark side of the erotic.

It's always dangerous to play with things you don't fully understand. Gerry O'Keith learns this the hard way when he buys a deck of Tarot cards. These are an exquisite deck, beautifully crafted. One card catches his attention. The Queen of Storms—a beautiful woman with a dangerous reputation. A thunderstorm hits the house were he and his girlfriend are staying and he sees the woman from the card in the storm and can't resist following her.

Ashen White has mixed erotica horror with a tale fashioned after Celtic folklore.

Wow! I am not sure that there are enough words in my vocabulary to describe the artistic way Ashen strings together words to create such a vivid story. The descriptions are divine, the sex scenes hot and with a bite :). The story reads quick as you won't put it down. Engaging, paranormal in the way the tarot elicits one's ability to obsess, the Queen will not disappoint.

I am eagerly awaiting the release of the next story, Temptation, as we further our journey through the tarot deck.

I am a little alarmed that my review up an disappeared but I have a sort of memory---well one of a woman I suppose. ;)

I loved that imagery in this book where water on a card was almost felt by the reader. The descriptions of the earth rumbling and erotic horror stirs the mind into a flurry or both nail biting need to know what's going to happen next and hoping that certain things don't happen. Then expected gruesome turned erotic things occur and you are left looking at your Kindle wondering...wondering did I just read that. And was it kind of hot?

Well I do hope you check this one out. I apologize for the lateness I though it was posted. Grr.

This is a very different story to anything I've read before. I very much enjoyed the mystery and suspense, and knowing about tarot cards that slant really appealed to me.

When the couple go for a quiet getaway, it turns out to be everything but what they anticipated. There's plenty of heat in the story and I learned a new word for the female genitalia 'yoni'!

I didn't predict the ending but given this is erotic horror, I wasn't overly surprised, or mortified. If you require a HEA this might not be the book for you.

The sex was HOT, the characters were interesting and the storyline out of this world....This book held my attention from start to finish and I was able to finish it in one sitting. Ashen White did a good job of creating an interesting story and taking the reader on a journey with her. The book was so full of description that you were able to actually picture everything as if it was right in front of you. Lovers of paranormal erotica will surely enjoy this novel. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
