The second book in the Tainted Love Series picks up where Sinner left off.
Jacob and Eve thought they'd found their happily ever after together, but someone has other plans for Eve. She has no idea what the path she is forced down will be like. She'd been a fighter her entire life and she doesn't know if she has anymore fight left in her. She is tired of clawing at the fringes of society just to exist.
Jacob and Ethan are forced to choose between saving her and committing the ultimate mortal sin. They must decide how far they are willing to go to protect the ones they love the most.
Morality becomes a grey area for them both as they do things neither of them ever imagined they'd be capable of doing. There is a savior for every sinner.
I obtained my formal training from life. I have a degree in General Smart Assery and I continue my education everyday with sarcasm and a pinch of humor. On a serious note, I've always considered myself a daydreamer. My mind often wonders to imaginary worlds with imaginary people who feel just as real as you and I. I never entertained the possibility of writing because, quite frankly, I never thought it was something I'd be good at. One day there was so much chatter between the characters in my head that I decided to write it all down just to get it out. One could say that's when the light bulb went off for me. It felt amazing to purge the stories from my bones. The more I write, the more I imagine. Cheesy? Yes. True? Absolutely.
staring immediately where Sinner left off, we catch up with Jacob and Eve.
I'm not gonna go into much of the plot, since that will spoil it if you are reading reviews to get a jist of the book, but seriously, you MUST read Sinner first.
this one is written from both Jacob and Eve's point of view, and I enjoyed hearing how he feels about Eve and how he is dealing with everything. (its quite hard not to talk about the plot line, when writing a review!)
Eve suffers, greatly in this book, and its much more violent and much less sex than the other one BUT that does not make it a lesser book.
Ethan and Jacob are forced to make a monumental decision, and it shakes them both to the core, forcing Ethan to question his role as a police officer.
the stalker gets his comeuppance, after revealing why he targets Eve.
BUT I do love that they get their happy ever after.
seriously bloody good books, I've done nothing all day but read these :-)
