I've been a writer, one way or another, all my life. Before I could read, I made up poems and my mom wrote them down for me. In elementary school, my teachers almost always let me write poems or stories instead of requiring me to do art projects. Always, I dreamed of becoming a published writer...and that dream came true! I write novels about sexy, powerful men and independent-minded women, and what happens when they find each other and fall in love. My books are sexy and romantic, and they've very often full of romantic suspense. I write the kinds of books I love to read, and I hope that makes my readers happy.

(Reviewed from e-arc provided by NetGalley)

"The Wilde sisters" is a self-published spin-off from Marton's Harlequin Presents "Wilde Brothers" series, and though the tone is a bit rougher and it's less polished, this book read pretty much like a Marton HP. Which is great from my perspective, because I love Marton HPs.

Realtor Jaime Wilde is in Zacharias Castelianos's penthouse apartment, trying to convince him to put it on the market, when the lights go out all over the city. Although both instantly fear some form of terrorist attack -- a nice bit of realism for characters who live in Manhattan and Washington D.C. -- the problem is just a massive storm. But that's more than enough of a problem for Jaimie, who stubbornly insists on trying to walk down 50 flights in the dark anyway, to get away from the disturbing presence of Zach. Somehow unable to wash his hands of the whole situation, Zach winds up going after her, taking care of her when she falls, and then having passionate sex with her.

The next morning, Jaimie is gone, leaving only a terse note. Then Zach gets a phone call from a man named Steven Young, who claims to be Jaimie's fiance, and he decides he has to write her off as a bad mistake. But of course he can't forget her. And when his old friend Caleb Wilde tells him that his sister Jaimie needs protection against a stalker -- Steven Young -- Zach doesn't know what to believe, but he knows he has to take the job on.

This was a highly charged, passionate, even over-the-top read. Jaimie and Zach are both closed-off kinds of people, and when they finally let go, they let go. Marton's trademark is characters who fall in love against their will, and the mix of reluctance with devotion is an effective one.

The downside here is that both are kind of idiotic. Jaimie is insanely stubborn, and pathetically ineffectual in regards to the stalker. Zach immediately buys Steven's story, and then lies to Jaimie for no good reason at all, except to cause a narrative conflict. (Why doesn't he at least admit he knows her brother? That lie is certain to come back and bite him on the ass.)

There's some backstory about Zach's special ops work and some grossness involving Steven, but on the whole the focus of the book is on the relationship, and also on Jaimie's relationships with her siblings. So the tone is mainly romantic -- with breaks for family lightheartness -- rather than suspenseful. Aside from my sometimes wanting to knock Zach and Jaimie's heads together, I enjoyed it.

I loved this book, could not put it down until I finished it. This is the second book in the Wilde Sisters series. Jaimie a realtor meets with Zach Castelianos thinking he wants to sell his NYC Condo, it goes from bad to worse when a storm knocks out power and they are stuck on the 55th floor, they end up talking and Jaimie does something she has never ever done before gives into the desire to be with Zach, but leaves before he wakes up. Meanwhile Zach gets a call from someone stating that she is his fiance and tells him all these problems she has. Now back home Jaimie is dealing with a stalker whom she dated and decided she didn't want to see him anymore after a few dates. She mentions this to her sister Lissa when asked what the matter was, Lissa tells Caleb and they decide to hire someone to protect Jaimie as things start to escalate. Caleb hires Zach an old team mate of his from the Agency, Zach is now confused who is telling the truth Jaimie or the so called fiance. Zach starts his investigation and lets just say things are not what he thought they were and he makes it his mission to protect Jaimie, you must read the book to see just how he protects her and how things work out but on a scale of 1 to 10 I give this book a 100++++ I love the Wilde family and I love this book it is an awesome read and you will not be disappointed

IT SIZZLES

When Jaimie Wilde meets Zach Castelianos she cannot control her attraction to this dark and dangerous man. The normally cautious Jaimie lets her guard down at least for one explosive night.
But when she returns home, and she has a stalker on her tail, who's there to protect her none other than Zach.

Sandra Marton is one of my all time favourite romance authors, I loved Zach and Jaimie's story. The sexual tension and chemistry were red hot. This is one for all those romantics out there.

Title: Jaimie: Fire and Ice

Series: The Wilde Sisters Book #2

Author: Sandra Marton

Genre: Romance

Blurb: Jaimie Wilde comes from a family of risk-takers. Maybe that’s why she doesn’t believe in taking risks. She’s a logical, practical woman. Zacharias Castelianos has taken risks all his life. Ex-Special Ops Marine, ex-government operative, Zach lives for challenge. He’s fearless.

Then he meets Jamie. A power blackout strands them in his Manhattan penthouse, fifty stories above the city streets. Jaimie is there by mistake. She’s an unwanted guest and Zach, newly returned from a dark mission, isn’t in the mood for company. Until she’s in his arms. They have one amazing night together, but when morning comes, Jaimie is gone. Zach tells himself he’s over her. Jaimie tells herself she’s over him. They’re both lying to themselves and they’re going to discover that the hard way, when her life is in danger and only he can protect her.

It’s time for Jaimie and Zach to face the greatest risk of all—the hot passion that ignites between them and quickly turns into an unquenchable flame.

Thoughts: This book was not quite what I was expecting, and the storyline is a bit more complicated that the blurb reveals. Jaimie and Zach meet under less than ideal circumstances - Jaimie is under the false impression the Zach is interested in selling his penthouse (an ideal encouraged by her boss), and Zach never had any intention of selling his it. Due to some miscommunications, Jamie believes they have an appointment to go over the details and look at the penthouse. Unfortunately, this idea is completely new to Zach! Only before she can leave they end up trapped together - and the sparks start flying! They have a spectacular night, but Jaimie is gone when he wakes up. In a surprising turn of events, some new details are revealed to Zach and he decides not to go after her. However, when Jaimie is targeted by a stalker, her brother calls in his old buddy Zach to do some undercover investigation. But Jaimie is under the impression he has come looking for her. When she discovers his secret, will it ruin the relationship they have begun to build?

The best part of the book was the passion between Jaimie and Zach. By far, these were the scenes that really stood out. The story itself was good, but there were a few things that didn't have me clamoring to finish it. Zach himself, was rather cold and....well, emotionless for the most part - except when it came to their sexual compatibility. I did enjoy the whole Wilde family for the most part, but the way that their scenes fit within the story just didn't seem to gel with me for some reason - except toward the end.

My main complaint though is that is just seemed a little two-dimensional. I didn't really get drawn into the story, or caught up in the feelings of the characters. It was fine, but you felt like you were on the outside looking in instead of being intertwined with the plot line and the characters. Usually I am a fan of Marton's books but this one was a bit of a flat read, and one that just seemed to be lacking a little something.

Stalking is an extremely difficult problem to understand. Many stalkers think that they are in love with the woman they terrorise. Seemingly kind, caring and innocuous, they try to psychologically batter the woman of their choice into submission, into accepting them as lover. But stalking can have dangerous and horrific results, which can even lead to the death of the victime in extreme circumstances. The trouble is, by the time the menace of the stalker is recognized, it's often too late to do anything about it - victim may be dead by that time.

JAIMIE - FIRE AND ICE by Sandra Marton is an extremely important work for that reason. Jaimie is being stalked by a dangerous bully and no one is taking her seriously. But one person does - her brother Caleb. Caleb asks one of his best friends, Zach, to shadow his sister. The twist in the tale and what he doesn't know, however, is that Zach and Jaimie had a one night stand about a month earlier - a night which neither of them will ever forget but were unable to follow up on, for various reasons.

So will Zach nail Jaimie's stalker? And when he does, will she understand that he didn't just do it because he is her brother's friend, but because he really cares about her? And will she believe him? So many questions to be answered, solved only by reading this suspenseful piece of work.

It's a very thrilling read, which takes you into the jet set life, the world of penthouses, private jets and fast living. But for those who like it 'hot', it's also very, very hot. Sizzling, in fact. But as an attack on stalkers, it is a most rewarding read.

I received a review copy of this book in return for an honest review.

A little more Wilde and a whole lotta sparks!

This hot sexy novel is the second installment in The Wilde Sisters trilogy. In true Sandra Marton style, you'll find yourself drawn into the lives and hearts of her characters, you feel their joy, their pain and their fear. When Zach and Jaimie give into their desires, you'll need a cold shower and a glass of wine just to cool off!

When Jaimie Wilde stumbles into the condo of the super secretive Zach Castelianos, she's under the impression that he is looking to sell his $60 million condo and she's there to broke the deal. Zach has no idea why the rain soaked blonde is in his condo but he's in no hurry to see her leave. While Jaimie is all business, Zach can't take his mind off of the desire building within him. When the entire city is plunged into a blackout, the sparks fly and the two share a night that neither of them will ever forget. Will one night be enough for these two, or will morning find them unable to walk away?

This installment of the Wilde Sisters series gives us a glimpse back into the lives of the Wilde Brothers and their families and culminates with Emily's wedding. Can Jaimie find the happily ever after that her siblings have found? Grab a glass of wine and prepare to tune out the world. It's time to fall in love with Zach and Jaimie!

Sandra I loved Jaimie and Zach. Their love story was interesting and I enjoyed reading this one and now I wait anxiously for Lissa's story. This centered on Zach and Jaimie. Jaimie is a realtor who meets Zach thinking he wants to sell his condo. During her visit a storm brews up and the 55th floor of the condo goes dark. During the blackout Jaimie gives in to her desire for Zach and then abruptly leaves before he gets up the next day. Jaimie goes home where she is dealing with attention from a stalker who wants her. After Jaimie talks to her sister, she tells her brother Caleb about it and he decides to hire someone to watch her. Who does he hire, but Zach. Read this one to find out what happens to them and the stalker. this is a good read

It was okay...something about the story line and hero and heroines romance didn't mesh together. She was innocent and didn't sleep around but then you read she had experience , she's had sex with men . Just a small example .

Witty repartee, scorching sensuality, tender romance and love...what more could you ask for? Taken from my review at RomanceJunkies.com:

Growing up as an Army brat, Zach Castelianos and his family moved from place to place, never calling any one city home. At the age of seventeen, he joined the Marine Corps. Within two years, he was chosen for the Special Forces before being recruited into The Agency. Then, four years ago, he had taken the knowledge he had obtained, moved to New York and opened his own technical high security company known as Shadow Inc. His business grew fast and when he decided to hire a lawyer for his business, he turned to a man he had met in The Agency, Caleb Wilde. Shortly afterwards, Caleb’s financial genius brother, Travis, became his financial advisor. Now Zach is filthy rich, but there seems to be something missing from his life. When he left the Agency, his plan was to cut all ties with it, but Zach still finds himself accepting jobs for the Agency.

Returning to the States from his latest mission, Zach finds several text messages from Roger Bengs, an annoying realtor who claims they had discussed selling Zach’s condo. In reality, Zach had made it plain to the man that he had no intention of selling his condo. Erasing the messages, all he wants is to get home, shower and unwind.

Jaimie Wilde is new to the world of real estate, having just joined Stafford and Bengs a few months ago after leaving her job as a CPA. Her boss, Roger Bengs, sent her to meet with Zach Castelianos. Having flown from D.C. to New York, Jamie is running late and hopes the meeting is still on. Earlier in the week, she had sent him two text messages, but he has not responded to either one. However, her boss assured her that Mr. Castelianos wanted the meeting ASAP. Landing this client is important to her career. Finally, arriving at his condo, soaking wet from the rain, she comes face-to-face with her potential client, who is not what she expects. She has only been there moments when the horrendous storm takes out the power city-wide. Now she is stranded, fifty floors up, in the dark, with a gorgeous stranger. In most matters, Jaimie tries to rely on logic, but there is nothing logical about the way he makes her feel. She is not one to give into flirtation or one night stands and she has not been with anyone in a very long time. So when she awakens the next morning, realizing she has slept with a stranger, she runs off while he is still asleep.

After the best night of his life, Zach cannot believe it when he wakes up alone. He tries to forget her, but when a stalker enters the picture, Zach will do whatever he can to keep her safe. Will he be able to protect her, or will he lose the only woman he loves?

An absolutely scrumptious tale, JAIMIE: FIRE AND ICE, the second book in USA Today bestselling author Sandra Marton’s WILDE SISTERS series, is a humorous, sensual contemporary romance that is sure to steal your heart. The chemistry between Zach and Jaimie is hot enough to sear the pages, and is tempered only by their sexy banter, which will take your breath away. I love the Wilde family and have been a fan from the beginning. Still, just when I think these books cannot get any better, Ms. Marton proves me wrong. This story may be the best one yet.

Scorching hot nights, tender romantic days, well-drawn characters, family dynamics, humor and love…romance does not get better than this. As I await the next exciting installment in this delectable series, take my advice and pick up a copy of JAIMIE: FIRE AND ICE, and see for yourself what all the fuss is about!

The Wilde Sisters are FABULOUS! Jaimie: Fire and Ice is a must-read for romance lovers!

Luckily for us, USA bestselling author Sandra Marton is publishing the rest of the Wilde Family Saga herself, telling the story of the three Wilde Sisters - whom, I admit, totally grabbed me when I was reading their brother's stories as they were perfect little sisters - nosy, pushy, fun, but truly loving family members. Their resistance to the idea of marriage was established quite clearly, and seemed as strong as the three brothers, Jacob, Caleb, and Travis. I think also having three older brothers, who not only were super hunks, but, I'll kindly say phrase this as players, may have influenced their view of men too.

The second book in the series follows the most sensible of the three Wilde sisters, Jaimie or James as the family calls her. Instead of focusing on Jaimie in the beginning of Jaimie: Fire and Ice, we're introduced to Zach and learn that he's a former operative of a governmental alphabet organization; worked alongside Caleb Wilde, who is now his lawyer; and Travis Wilde, his investment advisor. Returning from an overseas secret mission that he performed on behalf his former employer he's exhausted and Marton makes you feel ever tired step he takes as well as translating the dirt and grime he's wearing.

Jaimie, on the other hand, is in Manhattan to meet the owner of a co-op her boss at a D.C. real estate firm has told her is hot to sell. The description he gives her is of a man who resembles - in all ways - Aristotle Onassis. When Zach opens the door to her, bare chested she doesn't believe he's the owner and then the lights go out.

Well, they don't really need electricity as the sparks are flying fast and furiously between the two of them. However, Marton has thrown in a very great plot twist and we're left wondering what will happen? Will they meet again? And when they do will they have a happily ever after ending - or something else?

Once again I couldn't put this book down and found the action fast-paced, the characters fun and engaging, and the antics of the Wilde family members - perfect. Marton has a way of engaging the reader and then gripping them by the heart as her characters seem to implode, but what I have to remember - and what she seems to advocate - is that there is always hope. I so love reading her books as it's like going on a roller coaster ride - totally exhilarating and you're vibrating with joyous laughter when you step out of the car.

While you don't have to read about the Wilde Brothers to understand the Wilde Sisters, I'd suggest that you add these three books to your purchase list. Published by Harlequin, the Wilde Brothers books I mentioned earlier (books two to four in the Wilde Family Saga), are: The Dangerous Jacob Wilde (The Wilde Brothers Book One), The Ruthless Caleb Wilde (The Wilde Brothers Book Two), and The Merciless Travis Wilde (The Wilde Brothers Book Three).

Marton will be publishing the story of the third Wilde sister, Lissa, the California-based chef, in February 2013. Do keep a lookout for it as the Wilde Family Saga is a five star selection that should be on your bookshelf (electronic or virtual) permanently to read - and reread.

4 Blackout Stars. The "awww" factor in this one is pretty high. This is the second book in the Wilde Sisters Trilogy. Jamie, aka James, is the middle sister, the logic one, the one that would rather deal in numbers than feelings. She's not like the rest of her siblings, never has been, probably never will be.

Jamie has recently left her CPA job for a real estate job in DC. Now, she's on her way to an appointment that her high-powered boss has sent her to in NYC. Apparently, there's a Greek tycoon, Zacharias Castelianos, who wants to sell his uber high-end condo and she has to get the contract signed.

Zach is just returning from a mission for The Agency. He wants nothing more than to retreat to his condo and shut the rest of the world out. He loves his condo. He's earned his condo. He has no intention of selling it, contrary to what that obnoxious realtor he met in DC says. He's gotten numerous messages from Bengs, the obnoxious realtor, and the guy just doesn't get the hint! Zach is just settling in when his doorbell rings. What the heck?

As Jamie and Zach are trying to figure out what's going on, a storm hits NYC and they're caught in the middle of a blackout. Things happen in blackouts that aren't normal, that aren't supposed to happen. Especially when you're Jamie Wilde. The next morning, in the bright light of day, Jamie flees back to DC. Meanwhile, Zach receives a very strange phone call that leaves him furious with Jamie. Then, weeks later, Zach receives another phone call that sends him on an entirely different mission.

This one is better than the first! This one has more intrigue, twists, and turns. There's a definite element of danger that has the Wilde family scrambling to protect their own. A fun read that will keep you turning the pages.

ESCAPISM AT IT'S BEST!
You will need a cigarette after the love scenes (and I don't even smoke).
Jaded spy and security billionaire Zach Castelianos and budding realtor Jaimie Wilde meet under very unusual circumstances. Her boss has used her youth and beauty as bait to persuade Zach to sell his penthouse which would ensure a huge commission

Jaimie is logical and pragmatic and her family has lovingly nicknamed her James, but her attraction to Zach is so immediate and intense that all she can do is feel. Zach is closed off emotionally and guards his privacy but is so intrigued by, and attracted to, this stranger that he doesn't want her to leave. Nice touch "Back in your arms again.".After their night together, Jaimie slips out in shame and it takes the threat of a stalker for them to reconnect just as explosively. Love that Zach tried unsuccessfully to forget Jaimie with all those women.

What follows is a period of potential danger from the stalker, but this couple does not let that diminish their journey of exploration involving all their senses as they become better acquainted. Of course, there's some misunderstanding when Jaimie questions if Zach is there only because he is doing a favor, but they have their HEA.

Won this book as a prize from "Reading By the Book".

*ARC from NetGalley and Publisher in exchange for an honest review.*

Straitlaced Jaimie wants to break out of her logical shell and make the jump from Accounting to Real Estate. In her first foray, she is sent on a fools’ errand to Zacharias’s penthouse to sign him. Enter a blackout that traps them both. Black-out. Beautiful people. Stranded in a high-rise. Of course, they pass the time sensually. She leaves in the morning leaving only her business card.

Enter stalker, places call to Zacharias (still in the throes of their passionate night), casting doubt on Jaimie’s integrity. Really…a call from a stranger…? And you’re a security expert? No, I’ll check this out first and then make a determination?

Enter Jaimie’s family (who is apparently REALLY linked to Zacharias), putting Zacharias on stalker watch duty unbeknownst to Jaimie. They continue their passionate affair. Stalker proves to be true and Zach’s faith is restored.

The whole thing felt a little contrived from the beginning. Too much spent on setting the backstory that I didn’t get enough of the development of actual feelings between the two of them. One-night of great sex in an unusual situation does not make for a stable relationship-after. Too much. Too fast. Too soon.

This book was a winner for me. I loved the two main characters, Zach and Jaimie. I thought there was wonderful chemistry between Zack and Jaimie, and I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop. The book captured my attention right away, and the storyline kept my interest throughout.

Jaimie and Zach have a passionate encounter when she visits his condo as a realtor and is stranded during a power outage and storm. After their encounter, a man calls Zach and convinces him that Jaimie is his unstable fiancé. The two meet again when Zach is hired by Jaimie's brother to protect her from a stalker - the same man who called Zach. Zach doesn't know who to believe, but he agrees to protect Jaimie and begins to investigate.

I loved this book. Zach and Jaimie were great characters, and I thought the chemistry between them was smoking hot! I enjoyed the inclusion of Jaimie's family in the story, and look forward to reading more about them in the future. I received this book as an ARC through Netgalley.

was given this book for an honest review and I was pulled in from the beginning….

Zach was a sex craved closed off protection genius. He was sex on a stick with the drive to get to the bottom of EVERYTHING regardless if it seemed right or wrong. It was wrong to withhold the truth but in the end three words sealed his future. Him and Jaimie were a match made in paradise. He let her in when he didn’t even realize he was and she enjoyed the right now even though it was never in her plan.

Jaimie was an ordered math genius who always went with her gut and plan that was formed weeks in advance. Zach was nothing like she expected but EVERYTHING her body and life needed. It is just so much to say for a friendship with family that will always be there for you because the Wilde family have that in spades. I can go on and on about how Sandra nailed it with love, drama, sex, and togetherness but you will have to read it. I give this book a 5 hearts and wish I can give it more.

Blackout hook up combined with favor for friend involving sibling and a bit of subterfuge and suspense equals one amazing story. This is definitely a one sitting story. Heck, both books prior to this also are, but nothing compared to this one. The hero and heroine are extremely likeable, both have had some down parts to earn their ups. This story is the second (technically 3rd...ish) of The Wilde Sisters series, but not at all dependent on the previous stories. I have not read this author beyond the other two books in this series, but based on those, this author is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. My only complaint with this book is there isn't a preview for the next book in this series at the end. The end of this book alludes to the next book and I want to know more! Otherwise, awesome book. Will likely reread multiple times.

I totally loved this book. Evidently it is the second in a series, stands alone sell, but I will be seeking out the first as soon as possible! I love a contemporary romance that has a sense of humor. Ms. Marton has given readers a lead couple that will grab you and not let go. Their dialogue is so sharp and spot on. The sparks fly in this one. Strong primary and secondary characters, witty dialogue, detailed settings, even pacing; can't ask for anything more than that. Oh wait.... a great romance!

Jaimie Wilde meets Zach Casteliano it was all fireworks and misunderstandings i really loved these 2 characters even though at times i just wanted to hit zach over the head at times i loved Jaime she comes across as strong and vulnerable at the same time i loved seeing the wilde family visit i can't what comes next for the wilde family! This is a part of the wilde family series but can be read as a stand alone.

A stormy night in NYC. A massive power outage. A handsome alpha hunk and a skittish heroine. Throw them together and they make their own electricity. This story is sizzling hot from the very beginning. I love the sexy dialogue between Zacharias and Jaimie during their love-making scenes. Hot, hot, hot. Sandra Marton has become one of my favorite category romance writers. Looking forward to reading more!

This was my first book from this series and I enjoyed it. It was a quick, light read. I thought the characters were likeable and cute. There was nice romance to it but not over the top. I enjoyed the siblings also and will probably go back and read the Wilde brothers and Emily also.

Thank You Net Galley and the publisher for this ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

Not as good ad the first, but still a good read. Jaimie (h)kinda got on my nerves in the beginning with how she kept talking aout how logical she was and had to be. Zach hot stuff... Love family books that have recurring characters, no cliffhanger and HEA.
Story..3
Hot factor..1.5
Characters.. 3
