Ha. This is a book I bought 50 years ago from the grocery spin-rack next to a now-defunct K-Mart which is now a Walmart (of course) after Jaws first came out and shark books were all over the place. Read it, forgot it, and sold it off at a yard sale decades ago and here a copy shows up today at the library fill-a-bag-sale for 22 cents and I said, what the hey, for old-time's sake, wot? Let's throw 'er in the baygg. I had totally forgotten I'd read this but when I saw the cover the memories came back. Lots of human-munching exploitation fare here that I have no idea about rating because I don't remember crap about it. But it should count on my reading life list, so here it is. Anyway, my son and I went to see the Jaws theatrical revival last year just as me and my dad had seen it originally in 1975. Dads and sons bonding over jump scares from the deep.
