This book tells about a poor boy named Lebron who has barely any money and has no home and grew up in a bad town with drugs and crime grew up to be one of the best basketball players in the history of the NBA.
I would recommend this book to everybody even though they might not like Lebron because it is an inspiaring story of a boy with no hope growing up to be a great role model and one of the best basketball players in the NBA

Lebron James by John Walters is by far one of my favorite biography's. The book is about a boy named Lebron who grew up in Akron, Ohio. He was born on December 30, 1984. Lebrons father however was never there for him. To make things worst his family was poor and had a tough life. Thanks to his basketball coach, Frankie Walker, Lebron had a place to call home. Later in his life he led his high school to three state titles. Instead of going to college he went right to the NBA.
Reading this book was not an easy thing for me to do because I am not the biggest fan of nonfiction. But as soon as I started reading this book I could not put it down. This book made me realize that if I push myself I can accomplish great things just like Lebron did. It was a very interesting book because I got to read about a kid who went from nothing to being one of the biggest NBA stars in history. While reading this book I felt like I could accomplish anything.
I would recommend this book to a friend for many reasons. First, it has many life lessons in it. For example, never give up. Lebron Never gave up and look where he is today. Second, it could inspirer you to do great things with your life. Finally, this book shows you that things do get better. This is the most important lesson in the book because no matter how hard things may seem they will always get better. In conclusion I would recommend this book to a friend because it has many lessons in it and is a great novel

I have recently read the book LeBron James by john Walter. LeBron James is one of the many NBA stars that are well known around the world he has accomplished many feats through his career, including two NBA titles in back to back years. Many see him as a hero an inspiration. I also see him as a hero since I watch every game he plays. He isn't just a hero to me but also to the many children he helps in all of his charities but this book has influenced my thoughts on him as a person. In this book it tells us about his life story. His childhood wasn't the best as he was raised from a single mother his father left him when he was young and never returned. As a kid LeBron was a natural at sports he played varsity basketball in the 8th grade!! LeBron skipped college and went straight into the draft and was selected with the first pick by the Cleveland cavaliers his home town. After 9 years he left to go to Miami and won two championships and four MVPS. Reading this book made me realized because you grew up with nothing and your father left does not mean later in life that you can be successful in life. I advise that you read this book because LeBron James is a great person and has a very interesting life story

Labron James by John Walters is considered non-fiction, written for the young reader ages 7-10. This book is about mainly the career of Labron James. There are parts inserted about his personal life. I rated this book a five star because it is colorful. It also presents the content to the reader in an exciting way using words to keep the action moving and the reader wanting more. The illustrations are colorful and complement the factual information written. This book would appeal to young readers that are into sports. This book could be used as a research tool for a book report project. I could use it as a non-fiction class project to teach children what to look for when identifying a non-fiction book.

How would you feel going from high school to being a professional basketball player? A millionaire and rookie sensation overnight. Well, that is exactly what happened to Lebron James. Written by John Walters, he does a magnificent job of telling the story of the most dominant athlete of this generation.

Starting off, Walters tells us about Lebron's childhood. He grew up in Akron Ohio, an average sized town. Lebron's mother, Gloria, was only 16 years old when she had him. She and Lebron struggled to find a steady living, and when she finally realized that she could not give Lebron the life he deserved, she allowed him to move in with his youth football coach, Coach Frank Walter. "Walt" became a very important figure in Lebron's life, in fact, he introduced him to basketball in 3rd grade. Lebron still considers Coach Walter his father, he says they are blood. He accelled in his early years at basketball, and his team was getting national recognition for their success. Eventually, high school came, and Lebron was faced with a tough decision...

He had to choose between his local public school or a private Catholic school. His neighborhood wanted him to play for the home town, but Lebron and his 3 best friends, also stars on Lebrons youth team, elected to go to St Vincent-St Mary School, the all White Catholic school. This turned out to be the best decision in his life. He won "Mr. Basketball" in the state of Ohio as a sophomore, junior, and senior (also receiving all state honors in football as a sophomore)... Leaving everybody thinking, why go to college when you could go right to the pros? In fact, Lebron was thinking the same thing, he was actually thinking that as a junior. He tried to get the NBA to allow him to enter the 2002 draft without graduating high school, but they made him wait until he graduated.

Finally, the day came for Lebron to enter the 2003 NBA draft, and surprising to nobody, he was selected as the number 1 pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In his debut, he scored 25 points, and later that season he scored 41 points, winning rookie of the year. In his third season at 21 years old he became the youngest player to win MVP, which was one of many to come. After a second place finish after being swept by the Spurs, he went on to win the Finals the 2011-12 season with the Miami Heat.

The way John Walters captured every step on Lebron James' life was in so much detail and factual, this was a great book to read. If you want to know about the life of one of the most dominant athletes the world has ever seen, then read this book.

LeBron James, one of the many NBA stars that are known around the world, has accomplished many feats through his career, including an NBA title this year. Many see him as a hero - an inspiration. I see him as Lebron James, the man who brought his talents to South Beach because he wasn't capable of being victorious in the playoffs. This man betrayed his city, but this book has influenced my thoughts on him as a person. His childhood wasn't the best as he was raised from a single mother, and this by itself shows the determination as well as hard work that he went through to get to his status as one of the greatest players today.

Informational book #4
This book is about Lebron James and his path to success. It starts out talking about playing basketball in middle school. It then talks about how he didn't have the best home life; always moving from place to place. He then moved in with a coach of his and and education improved. It then goes on to talk about his fame in high school. He was an outstanding basketball player and it discusses each year of his high school basketball career. It then talks about him playing in all-star games and skipping college and going straight to the pros and being drafted number 1 overall. His stats for a rookie were unreal and he has a lot left to show the world.

i liked this book it was very interesting because it is a good way to learn about Lebron James and Lebron is my favorite basketball player. they explain how Lebron went straight to the NBA from high school and there was only one other person to do it and they explained what basketball team he was on. in this book you will learn a lot about Lebron James and i definitely recommend it if you like basketball. i rate this book a 10 out of 10.

one quote from the book what Lebron said was "You can't be afraid to fail. It's the only way you succeed you're not gonna succeed all the time and I know that" another quote is "When you have that respect from your teammates, it makes it a lot more comfortable" i picked these quotes because i read these quotes all the time and they are inspiring.

I really like the part in this book when it talked about how Lebron James and the rest of the Miami Heat made it to the playoffs and they were losing and Lebron James missed two clutch shots and the underdog Ray Allen made a game-winning three. I didn't like the part of the book where it states the many times Lebron James failed to win 2 of the 3 championships he made it to in 3 years straight.
