This was the second novel I've read by Mr. Lowery......I must say that this was a REALLY GOOD read..... "A Woman Scorned" takes readers into the minds of a cheating husband, the wronged wife, and a crazy mistress. Mr. Lowery does a wonderful job with letting us see that the grass is not always greener on the other side.......

Great read! Mark was warned over and over about Mercedes and he wouldn’t listen! Now look at him! No job,no home! Deja was a true stand up woman! She truly loved her husband, but once finding out who Mark cheated with it was a done deal! So glad she got her happiness with Derryck!

The seven-year itch came rather quickly to the marriage of Mark and Deja Gamble. Only three years into marital bliss, Mark gets an itch. The sexy siren Mercedes, Deja's co-worker and nemesis, seems to be the perfect person to help Mark with his itch. But Deja is no fool. She knows something is up with her man. As both women play tug-a-war with Mark, which woman will prevail? Who will be a woman scorned?
Erotic urban author Darrin Lowery continues to up the ante with his latest release. First, he spaces his book just right, alternating narratives between the three parties. Second, Lowery's characters come to life including a cameo by Chicago's favorite bartender, Adrienne. Third, he seems to have good insight into the female mind, particularly that of a mistress. And finally, although Lowery steers his plot toward an end that readers see coming, he does so in a way that's appealing and leaves readers glued to the pages. Darrin Lowery, one of AA fiction's most underrated yet powerful writers, is as talented as they come. You want drama? You want sex? You want fascinating characters? You want a good story? Darrin is the man for the job.

Trying Something New
Introducing The Gambles (no relation), Deja has a MBA from National Louis University and works as an analyst. Mark is a stock broker with a MBA from USC. They're both young, driven and in love. Their courtship was like a fairytale destined with happiness ever after. She proposed, they got married, traveled, purchased property and time shares, but, there seems to be something going on with Mark. He's turned in his suits, started swimming and playing softball for his company. No big deal, right? Just because he completely changes his routine doesn't mean that The Gambles' marriage isn't in tact, does it?
While Deja doesn't mind the new and improved Mark, she can't help wondering if all of Mark's changes are for someone else. Mark is a good man. Unfortunately, like so many other brothers, he's traveling down the wrong path. Confident that he's the man, will his ego be the beginning of the end?
Mercedes is beautiful, sexy, always willing and able. Those are the right credentials if you're looking for mistress status. She decides what she wants and she doesn't stop until she achieves that goal. She's already made up her mind that she hates Deja. In an effort to knock Deja down a few pegs, she goes after Mark full speed. Will Mercedes be Deja's replacement?
A Woman Scorned by Darrin Lowery is the perfect package from the cover to the very last period. Despite the fact that Darrin is a Chicagoan, he is an author who has the proven skills to completely enmesh readers. Darrin, I can't imagine you putting your pen down for any reason. Thanks for the better product. At least I know that the authors I'm supporting read my reviews. ;-)

One of the best books I've read!
I was so mad at Mark in the beginning, but at the end I felt sorry for him! In the end Deja found true happiness. Every woman should read this book! I read this book in one day.
