Again the narration is too old for these characters.

This is probably my least favorite. It all felt like it happened in less than a week it just didn’t do it for me.

Hey that is ok not all books are going to be for everyone right. Still glad I listened and I enjoyed the series overall even if I didn’t really enjoy the narration.

Carilyn Thompson meets Cody McBride, the sexiest firefighter she'd ever seen. Obviously, they are the love interest in this story.
Things start to happen - her car mysteriously catches on fire, and she gets horrid messages on her tablet. There seems to be an arsonist that is targeting women. After killing one woman, he has now got Carilyn in his sights - and his loves red hair! Cody is protective and tries to keep Carilyn safe.
I loved this story. Great characters and plot. It was a bit gruesome, but kept me reading to the end. Loving this cowboy series! 5☆

Leigh's friend Carilyn has come to Prescott to housesit while Leigh is in Europe for a month. Before heading to Leigh's house, she stops at the Hummingbird Cafe for a quick lunch. After lunch, she heads to the back lot where she'd parked only to find her car (and all her belongings) ablaze.

Cody only planned on a quick bite to eat at the Hummingbird on his day off. He never expected to encounter an enchanting redhead sneaking glances at him, nor did he expect to find a car on fire upon exit - her car, as it seems.

There's an arsonist out there somewhere and they (Cody and the PD) are concerned that he's escalating. Carilyn's now been targeted and Cody will do everything he can to keep her safe.

A solid 4.5 stars. I rounded up because I thought the plot was going to twist diabolically, twice, but neither time did the story do what I feared it might (thankfully, for the characters, at least). So, for not being predictable and for not being afraid to allow injury to those dear to the readers' hearts, 5 stars!

-- The only thing that detracts from story is that Ms McCray's proof-reader is not doing their job. Sure, there were no spelling errors, BUT there were a couple of places where and extra word was injected as if the phrasing was changed, but it was not edited completely -or- a word was missing where she must have been thinking faster than she could type. *These errors were noted in ebook format purchased from B&N.com, I don't know if this story was published onto paper or if the errors were found in all formats

Cheyenne pulls you into her story, stimulate your curiosity and makes you not wanting to move an inch, until the story ends.

This story had me on pins and needles. There is certainly a lot of heat in this story, steamy hot sex between the sheets and literal fire🔥 burning people and places.

Nathan is another delusional character with psychopathic behaviour. what was Carilyn thinking !! "I am going to scream" dah!! You never say what you are going to do, just do it. Scream your head off, shout fire,🔥 everyone respond to that, and you should try absolutely everything you can to prevent your assailant from taking you to a secondary location.

Also I cannot believe they didn’t tracking Carilyn's phone earlier, so many mistakes. I felt like I want reach in and shout at them to get on with it. Thank God for Cody and Sam!

A remarkable love story with some darkness that will have your adrenaline pumping.

The plan is for Carilyn to house sit for her friend in the small town of Prescott ...she didn’t expect her car to be torched by an arsonist and she certainly didn’t expect to become his next obsession. Luckily, there’s a hot firefighter who has shown an interest. Cody McBride is an all around good guy...did I mention that he’s hot? :) He quickly falls for his friend’s house sitter...and his protective instincts kick in when she becomes the target of a deadly arsonist. Can Cody keep Carilyn safe while he searches for the arsonist? Will there be an HEA since Carilyn is scheduled to return home?
Great story with equal parts romance and suspense. Narrator is perfect for this story! Love this series!

An arsonist targets Carilyn, throwing these two together. It's a sweet romance as firefighter investigor Cody and hacker Carilyn put their skills to use to find and capture the arsonist. Prescott seems to have a large share of the crazy people who like to target McBride women.

I WANTED to give this book more stars because the story in itself I loved, but the ending was left open. Almost like their story isn't finished and with a series like this one where every family member is the center of the different books you are expecting each book to give you that HEA ending or at most you are given the assurance that there is one.
This ending didn't have that assurance for me and we weren't left with a permanency to Cody and Carilyn's relationship. Don't get me wrong the story itself as I said I did love it...the whole arsonist angle as well as her background in hacking was also a great additive to the story. Not to mention I really liked Cody and his fireman ways...
I still would definitely recommend this book BUT you may or may not agree with how I felt about the ending. I do ask that you keep an open mind while reading it and please do NOT take my review as a sign that you should just automatically dislike the ending...form your own opinion and don't let mine sway your's.

When Carolyn comes into town to house-sit for a friend, she never expected to be the victim of some serial arsonist, let alone one who ends up gunning for her.

Firefighter, Cody McBride was left unsettled by the startling beauty that had walked out of the diner but he never thought that he see her again. Until her car was engulfed in flames behind that same diner he had just seen her in.

As time moves one, it becomes quite evident to him that Carolyn, despite having no ties to Prescott other than the one friend, has fallen as prey to an arsonist who might have more than a penchant to setting her personal effects on fire when one of the other women he had victimized had disappeared.

A fiery tale of suspense, mystery, obsession and explosive love, McCray succeeds at keeping me riveted, holding onto the edge of my seat for what happens next and swooning. Got to love those firemen!

This is such a good series and I've enjoyed reading every books but then what's not to love about cowboys and Cheyenne McCray writes some hot cowboys. Carilyn Thompson comes to Prescott, Arizona to watch over her friend Leigh's house will she's gone to Europe for a month. Cody McBride works for the Prescott Fire Department and just happens to be in the Hummingbird Cafe where Carilyn is eating lunch. She meets Cody McBride within the first hour of being in town when her car catches fire in the parking lot. Theres an instant attraction between them. Carilyn knows she should stay away from Cody because she's only staying for a month and Cody can't seem to stop thinking about Carilyn. When Carilyn is targeted by an arsonist Cody won't let her out of his sight and over time they come to realize they don't want to be with out the other.

The Red Head, Firefighter, and Arsonist

Carilyn arrives in town to house sit for a friend never thinking her life is about to be turned upside down. Cody has been investigating a string of arson fires. They meet when Carilyn's car is set on fire. What a way to begin a relationship by being the target of the arsonist.

Fast paced story, creepy arsonist, suspense, and romance. The book pulls you in from the very beginning.

OMG=Cowboy Fireman

I could not put it down. Finished it within a couple of hours and needed more.

It moved along at an amazing pace, has characters that you cannot help but fall in love with and a story that wont let you go.

Cheyenne McCray is an amazing author and no matter what she writes it is fantastic.

Another awsome adventure/mystery/romance. They're starting to run out of eligible McBride men. This one eneded a little different than the rest and I kept thinking there was another chapter. Hopefully they will fill in the pieces in another book. There were some proof reading issues with this book but I still loved the story.

This story was HOT! What better combo than a firefighter and a cowboy? one that gets shy around a girl that he likes. The action was great, the sex hot, and the story line was so intense that I couldn't put the book down.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, Branded for You, so expected to like this too. But meh. Didn't really do anything for me. And I was looking for a pretty straightforward romance. It's not bad, it's just not what I was looking for I guess.
