In the new sci-fi short story, Circus, Sierra Austin is a government official who discovers herself and her own mortality underneath the world of the Big Top. There is some Mature Content.
This wasn't bad, but unfortunately it left a lot to be desired. There were unnecessary details where they weren't needed (do I care what kind of couch she had in her apartment?) and too little where it mattered. I wanted more of the crime scene, the events in the circus, and the romance fell really flat for me. There was a lot of telling and not showing. All in all it was too simple.
