In the sequel to Winds of Heaven, we find the Kennedy-Bennett family enjoying their first six months of newborn bliss—except when Casey has to change Tara’s diaper for the first time. But her best buddy little Skye comes to the rescue in her own adorable way. Life seems good for Casey, Liz and the girls. It’s like dreaming on a moonbeam, as Skye believes.
Between house hunting and Casey working on the music composition for her new project for military veterans, their life is full. But now they must deal with someone from the past who threatens their happiness.
Casey and Liz realize what it will take to keep their dreams alive and their family together. It will take all of those moonbeams—and Skye.

They are not prepared for falling madly in love. It was not what they were looking for but life is not always predictable. When they finally give in to their love for each other, they realize that happily ever after might really be happily ever after. Their rite is bumby. They have the faillings and strength of normal people. They have to deal with the difficulties of raising children, the everyday worries. You will laugh a lot and cry a little. I enjoyed the journey that this family is going through. No misunderstandings, no aggravating mishaps and with low anxiety. I loved how Casey and Liz tested each other as their relationship grew. This story is filled with laugh out moments, tender moments and some frightening moments. You will fall in love with the characters instantly. Characters you can relate to and connect with. A beautiful written story and I can recommend it to everyone who love a feel-good romance.
As with its predecessor, Winds of Heaven, Moonbeams and Skye is all heart with just the right amount of adorable and sweet. Though the sequel isn't quite as strong as Winds, it's too decent and sincere a tale not to like.
Winds is definitely a romance while Moonbeams shows us happily ever after close up and in loving style. For those of us who thoroughly enjoy seeing love go on long after the honeymoon is cover, Moonbeams and Skye is a real treat.
You can count on this for a pleasurable, cozy afternoon read! :)
Hmm... I liked this sequel but it definitely was not as good as the Winds of Heaven (from the cover to the story line). Five stars to the first book, three stars to the second one.
I enjoyed reading it. Skye is still super adorable. Casey's Parenting 101 moments are hilarious. Liz's mama attitude especially when chastising Casey or Skye (or both) is endearing... very Mother Hen-like.
This is gonna be a 4.5 for me, maybe because this is a teeny bit more serious compared to "Winds."
You can never go wrong with a Kate Sweeney book. I’m always cracking up laughing while reading her books her writing is on point plus I always finish her books feeling all warm inside 😊
Fun and enjoyable read. Nice follow-up to winds of heaven. Although, I agree with some previous comments about the tough verbal interaction between Liz and Casey. For a couple recently in love and married, it appeared a bit too much. There are so many other words that could have been used to show their playful yet jabbing interaction. On the other hand, their interaction with the children was priceless. Meredith was awesome as the voice of reason.
Another great read by Kate Sweeney. If you like a really good well written novel with a touch of humor just pick up one written by this author. This is a sequel but can also be read as a standalone.
Moonbeams and Skye was just the sequel I was looking for. It’s full of fluffy and adorable Skye moments. You get to see this little family happily settling in to a new house, making new friends, and facing new challenges together.

Kate Sweeney really pulls at the heart strings in this sequel. Brings in a new relationship with secondary characters. Furthers the relationship of the primary. I love the aspect of the military service.
I just love this series the characters they had me laughing out loud they had me crying with them I was just finished reading it Again and I was wondering why there wasn't a 3rd book I would love To read about this family again I recommend this book and the 1st 1
5 Star's always! The continued story of Casey and her witty sarcastic ways, Liz in her beautiful spirit and patience to deal with her silly wife. Then there is the sweet and beautiful Skye, who touches all who come into contact with her.
Thank you Kate Sweeney for your great sense of humor and your wonderful stories .
A continuation of the beautiful love story of two women and the family they have created. New characters are introduced and we are treated to the special powers of a beautiful little girl named Skye.
