Spellbound takes you deep into the heart of the battlefront, where the lines have been drawn between good and evil and the humans pay the price.

An amazing sequel as we continue Artemis' journey to find redemption with her father Zeus. This time Sara (Artemis) is a witch protecting her village from the shifters (werewolves) that Artemis created to hunt when she was bored. Victor (Orion) is hunting the shifters and is gifted with an unusual arrow that contains silver that can kill the shifters. The push and pull between Sara and Victor is tangible and fun to experience. Sara has to overcome her fierce jealousy when she thinks Victor is more interested in her sister Meg but Victor proves his true heart only belongs to Sara. When Meg is kidnapped by the shifters, Sara and Victor must work together to save her using both of their skills. The journey for Artemis and Orion to redeem themselves is never easy but is an incredible ride to take. Curious to find out what Aphrodite has planned for them next. If you enjoy romance and want to change it up with some paranormal/mythology, jump into the Goddess Redemption series, you won't be disappointed.
She's done it again!! The tale of Artemis and Orion continues and they are still paying for her sins. Alexis and Galen are now reborn as Sara and Victor and yet another lesson has been placed before them. This time it's JEALOUSY and it's a delicious journey.
This time around it is Victor/Orion who saves his love and the undercurrent of lust and need that flows between the two builds into quite a frenzy. Sara/Artemis is confident and yet still very unsure in this body. You can sense the searching she has been doing all this life to try and come to terms with herself. It's a very female problem that translates extremely well into everyday life. I mean come on...who doesn't have a drop dead gorgeous sister/best friend that you want to strangle in a fit of jealousy?!
Victor/Orion is quite the catch. He is confident and skilled, although he doesn't fully understand why he's so taken with the hunt of the werewolves. The pieces of the cosmic puzzle are starting to become clearer and a better sense of the Gods distress is felt. That being said...this is still one hell of a hot read! The love, lust and need that flows between these two characters is a living breathing thing.
It's every girls dream; a love that transcends time and place. A love that follows and finds you no matter what. Kellie Lockheart has created an addictive read that pulls all those things you secretly desire out and puts them out front in black and white. It's a sinfully erotic tale and I can't wait for the next installment to see what else the Gods throw in the way of a love that is destined. Go ahead, get SPELLBOUND by something really, really naughty.
What can tear love apart like nothing else? Jealousy.
Artemis/Sara is now faced with jealousy. She has found him again, in another life, time, and place. But there is someone else, there is someone who he loves. What about her?
The village is plagued by shifters that Artemis created on her hunt with Orion many life times ago. Now they are running rampant and their numbers need to be slimmed down. But can Artemis/Sara get past her jealousy of her own sister and work with the Hunter?
They share a vision and just like before, they are lovers again, but the jealousy hangs over Artemis/Sara like a black cloud. She must work through this to see Orion/Victor loves her and only her. Can she break the spell? Will his love cure her jealousy? Will they find love again this time around?
Ok first I do not like to give away to much on the plot if you have not read the first one you have no idea what you are missing!
Second WOW! another amazing cover!
The book is again perfect and just enough for a short story as it has so much to keep up with. It continues on the chess game, the challenges and punishment the Greek Gods are playing with the lives of Artemis and her lover Orion this one focus on Jealous! You also get more insight and understanding of the shifters and are introduced to new and interesting characters.
This book is linking so much more together and will keep you enticed throughout. Yet again a well written book with a bit of everything sizzling sex, passion, love and Jealousy. I cannot wait to see were the story will go next.
This is a very creative & unique story that catches your attention, making you think and wonder. However, because of the short page count the story remains somewhat superficial. As the second story in the series you’re starting to get to know the characters a bit better. You get caught up in their plight & want to see them come out the other side intact. That said, I would definitely recommend reading the first instalment in the series 1st.
As a short story this was a uniquely put together read that takes you to another realm, if only for a little while.
Please note that I received this novel free of charge from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This second installment of The Goddess Redemption Series was even better than the first, which was very well done. In this reincarnation, the main characters are more fleshed out and especially the male lead, who I thought fell a little flat in the first story. The sex is steamy and handled well. The were world building is progressing. You get to learn more of their situation, strengths and weaknesses. The overall story is very satisfying for a short story and I am looking forward to reading the next installment.
Part two of the Goddess Redemption series - Spellbinding indeed! Another hot little romp through time with the Hunter and the Huntress as they continue their journey and face another battle. The whole reincarnated love angle is intriguing and keeps the story fresh. Sara (Artemis) has yet another life lesson to learn when Victor (Orion) stumbles into this lifetime. Zeus is not yet satisfied with her progress and Aphrodite must find a way to prove to him Artemis is worthy of redemption. Part three looks to be even better! Can't wait! Thanks Kelli :)
This is book two. Artemis is Sara and Orion is Victor. Sara has to prove her love is strong for Orion. She has now passed the second trail for her to be Goddess of Hunt again.
Book – Spellbound (The Goddess Redemption #2) Author – Kelli Lockheart Star rating - ★★★★☆ Plot – much better than Book 1 Characters – more real and relatable than Book 1 Movie Potential - ★★★★☆ Ease of reading – easy to read Cover - ✔ Suitable Title – ✔ Would I read it again – Maybe. Undecided.
** I WAS GIVEN THIS BOOK BY THE AUTHOR, IN RETURN FOR AN HONEST REVIEW **
I will admit that I much prefer this story to Book 1. In fact, you could easily pick up the entire story (the important parts, any way) of Book 1 here, without ever having to read the first in the series. The recap, though brief, sums up the entire first story in its entirety, making Book 1 a rather unnecessary read. However, a series containing reincarnation as a major story arc could go on forever, so it may be a matter of rinse and repeat for the rest of the series.
I like the characters Victor and Sara much more than I liked either Galen/Alexis or Orion/Artemis from the first book. They are more real and relatable, much more likable and believable as characters.
The story is also much better paced, there is an exploration of history, future and what is going on around both characters. The story of Victor and Sara is captivating and well done. I would enjoy this story, probably much more, if there was no history of Artemis/Orion or Alexis/Galen. If Victor and Sara were the entire story, I would be much happier.
Having finished the story, I have to admit that I was right. It was a rinse and repeat situation. Despite how well these characters worked and how great they were, I will not be reading any more of this series. I was happy with the story of Victor and Sara, but as soon as it got to the end and there was yet another reincarnation 'required', I knew I was going to tire of this series very easily. I liked the book, the characters and the style of writing, but I don't see why there is a continual need for reincarnation. Not even to teach Artemis a lesson. The story could easily have continued on, with the original reincarnation characters Galen and Alexis, or this book could have ended with Victor and Sara only just realising what they mean to each other. It didn't necessarily have to result in them becoming a couple, to teach Artemis a lesson. The series could easily have carried these characters through two more books.
Unfortunately, it feels like the author is trying to milk the story for as long as possible. The series could easily have ended here, with a few pages added at the end for Orion/Victor and Zeus to forgive Artemis/Sara for being a hot-headed, jealous girl who made a disastrous mistake.
Sadly, I'm dumping this series. I wish this book was all there was to the story, but I checked the end of book 3 and there is a book 4 and at the end of book 4, there is a book 5. I can't read that many of the same story repeated with the same characters, who only have different names. The relationship just isn't working for me. Sorry. It just feels never ending. I don't care enough about Orion or Artemis, or Alexis or Galen, or whoever the characters are going to become in Book 3, 4 and 5. I was happy with Victor and Sara and I'm happy with the ending of their story, so that's where I'm going to leave it.

From the get go in Spellbound it is clear that Zeus loves Artemis very much by the way he questions her safety on Earth with Aphrodite, the goddess of love, but daughter or not, he will not leave her go unpunished for the danger she has imposed on the humans of Earth and the god’s in the sky with her creation of shifters.
Artemis creature’s have caused havoc on the earth from the moment she created them in that valley long ago when she was bored with Orion. Not only were they destroying the Earth but because they were weakening the human race they were in turn weakening the gods since they get there power directly from the humans.
What was originally meant as a life lesson for Artemis turned into a pretty big fuck up because Zeus wouldn't let his stubborn arse acknowledge that the creature’s were weakening his powers and that he was not as strong as he once was because of them. He was so hell bent on Artemis being punished for her actions and learning to control her emotions that he refused to accept that her creature’s could do him or the other gods real harm.
Aphrodite however, was very much aware of what the shifters could do because she felt herself feel a little weaker each passing day that they were left to roam the Earth. It is left up to her to find a way to prove to Zeus that Artemis is worthy of redemption.
Artemis who is Sara on Earth over came her anger in To Cast a Spell and in Spellbound she has to overcome her jealously for that is the one thing that could break her and Orion’s love. Orion is Victor on Earth.
Artemis is still a mighty Huntress but has a different role to play in this book, she is a protector. Orion is still as great a Hunter as he was when he was immortal and his skills and a special secret are the blade needed to combine with Artemis to keep the people of Earth safe from the dreadful creatures the threaten them.
Artemis’s jealously and confusion on a certain matter however, threaten to destroy all hope for her and Orion as well as the fate of the world and when terror strikes someone close to Artemis she and Orion have to work together to set things right.
The journey of Artemis and Orion is a roller-coaster to take with situations full of anger, jealously, sex and fierce passion and love make their story a pleasure too read. The steady flow and smooth writing cushion things nicely and makes things very comfortable.
Very much looking forward to what Kelli (and Aphrodite) have in store for the couple next!

Absolutely amazing....In 'Spellbound'...the story continues with Artemis and Orion on the road to redemption. However...there's a catch of course. The lovers are faced with a new dilemma, a new situation to overcome, and a new way of life, for the goddess and former Immortal son of Poseidon and giant huntsman of the hunt. He became Artemis' hunting companion after serving King Oinopion of Chios for many years on the isle of Krete. Tricked by her twin Apollo that Orion was being unfaithful..her anger causes her to turn on him and it was one of her magnificent arrows that she uses that dealt him his final blow making him a mere mortal man. That's a big leap from being the Immortal son of the Great Olympian god of the sea...rivers flood & drought, earthquakes and horses.
Of course things are not what they seem...Done up in typical mythological fashion, the pair are once again traveling the road to redemption as a new task from the gods comes into play and they are instantly transported to the next task, into a new challenge, a new journey and a new kind of life. Oh it's the same type of theatrical Zeus antics, only this time the very thing that these two created have decided to turn things up a notch making them the hunted instead of the hunters. But have no fear, the goddess of love once again is near ready to lend a little godly hand. Part two of this series is one that forces the two of them to cross paths as strangers only to re-connect again emerging once again as lovers and friends. This is an awesome retelling of the two lovers and a father who's determination to teach his daughter a lesson wages war against his love for her. ...Told true to mythological form but with a twist that Ms. Lockheart has somehow been able to master in a rhetorical ...Greek god like fashion where it is able to stand and deliver drawing readers in like a moth to a flame.
If you like Greek/Roman Mythology and are a true Romance reading fan, then you will absolutely love this series. Quite similar to the writing style of Tina Folsom and her 'Out of Olympus Series....but yet and still she has a writing style all on her own. Hooked... hooked...hooked, need I say more!
The overall concept of stories are meant to enlighten, educate and entertain readers. As authors, writers and reviewers we constantly keep this in mind. This is my honest opinion and my honest review...Kudos Ms. Lockheart for a job well done!
Book Review- Spellbound: The Goddess Redemption by Kelli Lockheart
This story is part two of The Goddess Redemption. Zeus and Aphrodite are still providing challenges for Artemis in order to gain her powers back. She still has lessons to learn. This lesson is about jealousy. Artemis is reborn as Sara. Sara is a village witch that lives with her sister Meg. They are trying to save villagers from the shape shifters that attack them every night. In fact Sara and Meg have developed a barrier spell to keep the werewolves from attacking the homes. Sara has also been working on a cure but nothing works yet. Unfortunately with all the attacks, the wolf bane that she uses for the potions is becoming scarce. She has to travel farther out from home to find any. She meets a werewolf on her way in search of what she needs. Her horse throws her and the potions she has with her have no effect. Victor is a hunter near by and hears the explosions from her potions. He comes running and kills the beast with a silver tipped arrow. He helps her home knowing that he should know her. He knew she had green eyes. He has feelings for her that he should not be experiencing. They have both been having visions and abruptly realize who they are. However, they are now on a rescue mission as the werewolves have kidnapped her sister Meg. The shape shifters know who Sara and Victor are and relish the chance to kill them both. This story was a well written novella that continues the story of Artemis and her punishment. I find it intriguing that she is being punished for her behavior. This story is about how she learns her lesson about jealousy. I feel sorry for the goddess and what she has to do to prove her lessons learned. Unfortunately her father Zeus is holding her accountable, which is as I said is cool as a story. I recommend this story. It is a fast read and very intriguing. I give it a 4 out of 5.
In this installment of The Goddess Redemption, Artemis is reincarnated into a witch named Sara. Sara stays in a small village that is constantly attached by the shifters. Sara has been able to protect the village the best she could with a potion but she is running low on supplies. Victor is a hunter that has a passion for killing shifters. This is an unheard of action because the shifters are so hard to kill. Victor has a secret weapon though and it's an arrow that was given to him by an old woman.(We now know is Aphrodite.) Victor has been hearing tells about a town that has a practicing witch. While Sara was out on a mission to find more supplies, she is rescued from a shifter attack by Victor. Once again these two know each other but don't know why. They have both been having dreams about a past life together but can't bring themselves to believe them. This next challenge that Artemis is faced with is her jealousy. Sara has a younger sister that grabs the attention of all men and even women of the town. Sara has to overcome feeling inadequate before she can open up to the true feelings she has for Victor. When their memories are finally returned, Orion is going to have to set Artemis straight.
I am so happy I continued the series because I get the direction it's going in. After To Cast a Stone, I was afraid that I was not going to enjoy the series but I was WRONG! I like how Kelli is writing the books in sections to show the battle that Artemis has to endure in order to get redemption. There should probably be a series like this for all the Gods. I am a fan of Orion because he loves Artemis to death and that's all a girl ever wants. I'm excited that I have the next book, Moonlit Promise, because I want to read about the next challenge.
Three words: OH MY GOD Another Three words: I LOVE IT
I was asked to write a review after the author send me the part two and I am very happy to have had the chance. I Loved the part one but I loved even more the part two. Kelli Lockheart has an incredible and brimming imagination. The story is short but from her writing style to tiny details, she made sure to make us travel in the mythology.
Zeus wants to test the limits of his daughter: Artemis, he wants to see if she is capable to control her emotions but most of all her anger and jealousy because all of this started because of that. On this part, Artemis is Sara and Orion is Victor, they live different lives now and they forgot about each others but the hunt drew them together once again. One glance and their memory came back in pieces. They can forget everything but not their love for each others. The only thing that could tear them apart is Artemis's jealousy and trust for Orion.
I understood the focus on Artemis character on the first part, this story is about her! But I love that the part two has more of Orion or Victor should I say. Hot, Steamy, Real Male = I was on FIRE!
“You? You are poison ivy. You get under a man’s skin and make him itch.” he said.
The more I read and the more I wanted to know what will happen next, I was hooked and didn't want to miss a single thing about the God and Goddess of the hunt story. Everything felt more intense while I read maybe because it's the mythology.
I already said it for the first part but I think that Kellie Lockheart has a bright future as an author.
This is the next installment of The Goddess Redemption series which tells the story of Artemis (yes, the Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt) and Orion (son of Poseidon). Artemis had some insecurity issues and kills Orion right before they are to be married in a fit of misplaced jealousy. Enraged, Zeus with the aid a sympathetic Aphrodite, sets about teaching his impulsive daughter a few life lessons about character. Destined to seek Orion on the mortal plane, both are recovering memories and rushing towards the future that should have been theirs.
Knowing the backstory and being more familiar with Artemis and Orion, this book was a joy to read. This lesson dealt with the jealousy issue and also with the recovered memory of how Orion died. Orion is the epitome of a romantic hero (except for the whole hunting thing) gorgeous, strong, ethical and loyal. Artemis however needs the lessons she is so harshly learning. In this incarnation, Artemis is a witch known as Sara, who along with her beautiful sister Meg is attempting to concoct a potion to keep her village safe from werewolves (which Artemis created). Orion is a hunter who has found a way to kill the monsters.
The reader can see the growth in Artemis, making her a much more likable character. I am much more invested in the story of these lovers after this book. I flew through this short story in less than an hour and was asking myself " where's the next book?". This book answers several questions and furthers the story exponentially. The shifters play a major part and though I sympathize with their plight, they are not nice. This serial is turning out to be a jewel of a find.

Once again Ms. Lockheart has managed to successfully bring Greek tragedy to the 21st century and made it not only relevant, but erotic as well. As a reminder, this in not my normal genre of choice, however Ms. Lockheart's storytelling ability is so natural, you can't help but be sucked in. This is NOT your 10th grade humanities regurgitation of an Oedipal tale, it is a modern take on the classics.
All too often when we see modern authors attempt to channel the voices of the classics, whether they be Greek tragedy, Shakespeare, or what have you; we're left with a work that sounds like it went through Google translate. It sounds clunky and disjointed. That is certainly not the case with The Goddess Redemption Series. Ms. Lockheart is able to take a modern day spin on a classic story, without bastardizing it and making it seem like a Baz Luhrman over the top hack job (think of the movies Romeo & Juliet or The Great Gatsby).
I love how Ms. Lockheart is able to successfully weave eroticism into the parable to reach the state of catharsis; it is an exceptionally well-crafted plot with a satisfying denouement.
So thank you once again Ms. Lockheart for so skillfully telling a story that easily catches the attention of a reader that would not normally appreciate this type of story. Bravo!
I was given a copy of the book for an honest review.
Well well well, see i knew that little element of danger in the first installment was going to bring me some action and Kelli did not disappoint. Spellbound was packed with action, i was really surprised at how much Kelli was able to fit into the story. All the elements were there, danger, suspense, jealousy and of course the discovery or should i say rediscovery of love.
Spellbound kicks off with Artemis in a new human life as Sara, a witch, who along with her beautiful sister Meg has discovered a potion to protect their village from the nightly terror that plagues them, "Shifter's"who hunt the villagers. When supplies for ingredients run low, Sara braves the forests to find more Wolf's bane and is attacked, enter the handsome hunter Victor, who rescues her.
As punishment for her jealousy, short temper and for creating the Shifters, Artemis has to face several challenges and right her wrongs, so that her and Orion will be restored as a "god" and "goddess", it seems though that she is not the only role player who is learning lessons in the process.
I am looking forward to seeing what new challenges lay ahead for Artemis and her beloved hunter Orion and how they will overcome the powerful beasts they have created.
SPELLBOUND is the second storyline in Kelli Lockheart’s Goddess Redemption novella series focusing on the continuing story and reincarnation of Artemis and Orion. In this particular instalment our hunter and goddess of the hunt are Sara and Victor. Sara is believed to be a witch who is searching for a way to protect the people of the village from the werewolves at night: and Victor is a hunter who has been gifted by a stranger with silver tipped magical arrows. Both Victor and Sara had been approached by a woman in disguise and the immortal gods of Olympus were once again at play. Zeus and Aphrodite would ensure that Artemis and Orion learn their lesson time and time again. But will Artemis’s jealousy keep our lovers in human form forever?
Kelli Lockheart weaves a fractured tale of mythological lore where at each incantation our hero and heroine must overcome the obstacles before finding one another’s heart and soul.
If you are a fan of the Greek mythology, Kelli Lockheart’s Goddess Redemption series puts a different spin on the lore of Orion and his beloved Artemis.
*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*
As Artemis’ creations, the weres, strengthen, the gods’ powers lessen. Aphrodite knows they need their hunters back in order for their powers to return fully, but Zeus is a stubborn man and will not allow it until Artemis has earned her redemption.
Fated to find each other in every life they are reborn into Artemis and Orion must learn to overcome any obstacles thrown their way, and Artemis must win her chance at redemption. The obstacle in Spellbound is jealousy. And when Orion/Victor notices the beauty of another Artemis/Sara definitely gets to experience that emotion. And it’s one that she doesn’t handle very well, but with a little assistance she may learn to overcome it.
My Favorite Moment: I love how Orion shows Artemis that there is no room for jealously in their relationship. It’s a fact he pounds over and over into her.
You can be the moon and still be jealous of the stars.
We jump right in with Zeus and Aphrodite setting a new challenge for Artemis to deal with JEALOUSY.
We are back with Artemis (Sara) and Orion (Victor) who have to save the day against Shifter's who are attacking villagers. Sara is Jealous of her sister Meg after she see's Victor hanging out with her, but can Sara fight jealousy to save her sister and save the day.
Kelli> did an amazing job of keeping me on my toes around Artemis. Just when you think maybe she will fail the challenge, Kelli> swoops in and changes it up to keep the rollercoaster going.
I seriously cannot wait to continue with this series. I would definitely recommend it to those who love a fab Paranormal story.
"Spellbound" novella two in Kelli Lockheart's continuing series "The Goddess Redemption," was better executed than Novella 1.
Still a 'quick and easy read," this novella was packed with non-stop action. The characters, having been established in the first novella, were easier to follow. The steamy love scenes were not only smoother, but intensely written. It was easy to see this book was written by a more experienced writer.
It was not without its flaws, but never-the-less a very satisfying read. There is only one problem: I can't wait for the third installment to see what happens with Artemis and Orion.
This was good, not as good as book one and I was really confused at the beginning but it got better later on. In this second book we see our goddess facing yet an other hurdle she must past in order to prove herself worthy of her powers. Sara is a witch who have been protecting her village from the werewolves, with the help of her sister. One day while hunting for wolf's bane she was attacked by one of the beats and the hunter came to her rescue. They both fought against the creatures and were successful in saving Sara's sister. Now I am going to read book three to see what happens next :)
This is the story of a goddess being tested. Artemis killed her lover Orion in a fit of jealousy only to realize the mistake she made after the fact. Her father Zeus was so upset by her actions that he took her god powers and memories and placed her inside a human body (Sarah). As the human Sarah, she is desperately trying to find a cure for the shifters. While being attacked Sarah meets a handsome stranger who turns out to be her lover Orion. This is a sexy tale full of love and suspense! The journey Artemis is taking is so captivating. I can't wait for the next task she will face.
This is a second in a series and I purchased this book after the author asked me to read and review the third book in the series. As I stated in my review of the first book in the series, I enjoyed the Greek mythology concept of the story and the uniqueness of Artemis being the creator of shapeshifters so that she and Orion could hunt them. I feel that the author has great potential, but again the story was at times confusing and this book would also benefit from further editing to clean up word usage.
Again a very fast paced, not boring readers with inane chatter of one's mind. Jealousy does seem to be Artemis' (different names as she is reincarnated) downfall, which does seem to be the main thing that will keep her from her one true love, Orion. (again different names as he is reincarnated) Her biggest enemy seems to be herself, although other's do step in to keep the story moving. Love it, and will recommend it!!!!
I read Spellbound book 2 in The Goddess Redemption Series after reading book 1 To Cast a Stone and thought is was Simple Amazing!! I loved it even more than the first one!! The story of Artemis and Orion continues and gets hotter and more intriguing, I couldn't put it down! Again my biggest complaint was it was too short, I didn't want it to end!! Can't wait to read book 3. I highly recommend if you haven't read any of the books in this series you should!
Part two is slightly better then the first book in this series. I loved the action between Sara(Artemis) and Victor( Orion). It is a fast paced, fun filled and gripping story. I so wanted them to stay together, but I know the Greek gods are going to pluck them into a new adventure. Can't wait for book 3. Everyone should read this amazing series.
I am TOTALLY enjoying this series! Artemis is now Sarah in human form and Orion is Victor. Aphrodite is trying to convince Zeus to return them back into a goddess and god, but he wants Artemis to PROVE she's worthy of redemption. Zeus just keeps adding things that as a human, Artemis must overcome. So looking forward to the 3rd story!
