From London in the 1820s to wartime in the 1940s and beyond, silk has been a decadent secret between lovers or a sensual slip of precious material covering the promise of heaven.
Enjoy the erotic warmth of a work-roughened hand sliding teasingly, torturously along a bare, silken thigh. Or go on a rendezvous with pure passion and pleasure. But why stop there?
In Romance Writers of Australia's Spicy Bites 2023 anthology, our amazing erotica writers will tempt and tease you. They'll take you to the far reaches of space, through moments in time, and to places where only the angels dare to sing.
This is a collection of heat, passion, the sweetest taboos and the rich decadence you'd expect from the luxury of Silk.

Having read Ensnared by Rebecca Quinn I've been dying for more stories about the Brutes and phew this short story 'Freefall' featuring Jasper and Lucky was soooooo good! I am slowly reading the other stories and will no doubt have more reviews to add here but had to give it 5 stars and share so that more people will read it!! Highly recommend reading Ensnared first, I'd say you don't have to but it's so much better with the rest of the story behind it.
I got this for the Rebecca Quinn part with Lucky and Jasper - and it did not disappoint! (sorry but I have only got that far as yet) I do not have favourites from Brutes Of Bristlebrook but there is just something about Lucian and Jasper togehter that I utterly adore, and this was perfect but still bittersweet as it mentions the timeline from Day Death and before the main series and my heart aches knowing that in "fantasy time" they still have a way to go, please please please write more about this whole group - I don't know how but I would be along for the ride
Enjoyed these! I bought it specifically for Rebecca Quinn’s Freefall short story and it didn’t disappoint! I still need more of Jasper and Lucky, so I can’t wait for book two in the Brutes of Bristlebrook series!!
I read all the other short stories and enjoyed most of them too!
I was t really expecting silk to really be the underlying theme in these short stories. I enjoyed some more than others. But it did its job and introduced me to some new authors. And I got a bonus story from one of my favorites.
I haven’t read all the stories in this Anthology yet, but I did listen to Freefall on audio by Rebecca Quinn and read along in the e-book that is within this book. I absolutely love her Brutes of Bristlebrook series and really enjoyed this spicy novella!
I love extra stories. They talked about this so much in the book I’m glad she wrote a novella and gave the full story. Lucky is so chaotic. I think that’s why he one of my favs.
I read Free Fall by Rebecca Quinn. I'm obsessed with her Brutes. And especially because of Jasper and Lucky. So I was super happy that there is a short story about the two of them.
Every time we read an interaction between Lucky and Jasper, there is so much electricity in the air. You can almost feel the tension.
literally got this books to read just to read more on the Brutes of Bristlebrook but was pleasantly surprised with the other stories. obviously my favorite is Rebecca Quinn's short story but the rest were a excellent bonus.
