I have not read much by Arthur Machen, So for me this is a type of introduction to his work. After finishing I know I need to discover more.

The contributors to this book made me also order a few more books to allow me to further explore writings by them.

A great, often exquisite anthology mixing terror and ecstasy. Standouts for me on first reading were the Mark Samuels, Derek John and John Gale pieces. Needs to be re-read regularly.
