Paisley is a tag chaser....she chases military guys knowing that there is no longevity. They can date, hook-up, whatever and then in a few weeks time when they deploy, etc she can move on to the next one.

Paisley makes a bet with her BFF that she can not tag chase for one year, she'll meet a "normal" guy and actually see where the relationship might go. If she wins, Paisley gets her BFFs Jimmy Choos. If she loses, Paisley has to tell her BFF what happened to make her a tag chaser to begin with.

Which quite honestly, I thought her reasons were

But whatever. Their first night out, Paisley meets Corbin. He rescues her from a dance floor clinger and she ends up going home with him. While Corbin makes a late night call *queue the red flags*, Paisley snoops through Corbin's bags. She finds some ARMY clothes with his name on them and runs.

Quite honestly, she ran a lot. Paisley's attracted to Corbin, but she made this bet. She can't lose....

Corbin is only in town for a few weeks. Paisley finally gives in to her feelings for Corbin and gives him a chance despite the bet.

Sadly, I found the sex to be too fade to black for my liking.

Things kind of turned for me here. It almost turns in to a love triangle with one of Paisley's BFFs from college, Tanner. He has apparently been harboring feelings for Paisley and decides to act on them now that she's met Corbin.

She doesn't even tell Corbin that she kissed Tanner.

Of course, Corbin also has this mysterious Rachel person that he makes late night phone calls to, etc. Paisley tries to give him the benefit of the doubt, until she finds out that Rachel is actually his giflfriend. Or wait, is she? Paisley runs instead of having a conversation with Corbin...in to the willing arms of Tanner, of course.

Drama, miscommunication, lies, cheating.....

Kind of ruined it for me.

Have you ever found yourself completely immersed in a book? Just swept away with the characters, emotions, the drama and heartbreak? That’s how I feel about Tag Chaser - this is one of those books that I just got lost in right away. The story was spellbinding, the writing creative, emotional, funny and packed full of the lusty love scenes that I love. I was chosen to read a copy of this book, and I couldn’t feel luckier. These characters have found themselves a place in my heart...Kandi Steiner - you’ve made me a fan for life with this one little book (oh who am I kidding...it might have had a LOT to do with Corbin as well…).

When we first meet Paisley Bronson, I felt her pain right off the bat. She’s a young, intelligent beautiful woman - who is silently suffering from past hurts. She avoids intimate relationships with men like the plague, allowing herself to only get involved with men as a “tag chaser”. A woman who only casually dates military men...men that disappear, offering her the chance to stay unattached and emotionally shut off. I found this to be heartbreaking - it clearly showed us how hurt Paisley had been in the past, and how scared she was of commitment. Being a tag chaser was her defense mechanism, the way she protected herself from being hurt. Paisley’s best friend McKenzie was such a fun-loving, outgoing girl. I loved how she straight up let Paisley know that her tag chasing ways were ridiculous and needed to stop. Forcing her to see that she deserved better, she makes a bet with Paisley...a bet that demands Paisley give up being a tag chaser and finally let someone in.

Corbin Ray...sigh...Corbin Ray. Dreamy, sexy, passionate, and a soldier. Is there any better combination? Corbin and Paisley have a chance meeting at a nightclub and the sparks between them are immediately electrifying, the chemistry sizzling...seriously, he is one drool-worthy man! After a few more sightings...and a wickedly hot (almost) love scene...Paisley learns something about Corbin. Something that weeks before, she would have welcomed. He is a military man. And she has made a bet to swear them off for good…

What I loved most about this book was the emotion. It wasn’t your typical boy meets girl, drama ensues, and then they get their HEA. Far from it, this book will grab you with how real it is, the insecurities that Paisley feels as she struggles with her feelings for Corbin are completely relatable. I don’t think that there’s a girl out there that hasn’t felt what she feels in this book. Now, there are moments when those insecurities consume her and although her heart is telling her to run one way, her feet take her running right out the door. This will have you yelling at her in a Paisley-get-your-little-ass-back-there-and-finish-that-love-scene!! kind of way. At least, that’s what I did.

Corbin isn’t without his own past. There are things that have held him back from love as well, watching him open up to Paisley and try everything to tear down her walls truly showed his character. He’s a man worth loving - and sexy as all hell. But let’s not forget there’s the little fact that he’s a soldier…

If you love a good romance that you can really sink your teeth into (and no, I don’t mean Corbin’s delicious ass, calm down ladies), then you will want to give this book a chance. Oh, I almost forgot - if you’re anything like me and live for a good love triangle - you won’t disappointed. Hmmm, I did mention Tanner right? ;)

What will be the outcome of the bet? Will Paisley finally let her guard down and give Corbin a chance? Will love conquer both of their pasts? And WHAT does the love triangle have to do with it?

Tag Chaser - pick it up and find out, you won’t be sorry.

All the feels

Another 5 star for me! Paisley is an amazing person and doesn’t even realize it. What she thought would be another short fling turned into so much more. Corbin is one of the most romantic heroes you’ll ever read about. Their past was messy but it didn’t define them. Lines are blurred and feelings are hurt. This book gave me all the feels.

I have to say, I had not idea what a "tag chaser" was when I started reading this book, but when I got to it, I could totally understand why our leading lady Paisley is into it. Helloooooo, who doesn't love a man in uniform

But Tag Chaser was so much more than just going after hotties in uniforms - though that is exactly what Corbin is!

It is a sweet, sexy romance between two damaged souls.

At times I wanted to shake Paisley for being so damn stubborn. How Corbin didn't walk away right from the beginning, but I was glad that he stuck it out.

Tag Chaser had sweet time, sexy times, dead set HOT times. I liked that it didn't take me on the journey I was expecting, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Thank you to the author for the copy for review

First, I'm going to admit to crying when it ended. I looked around and all of a sudden got so sad that it was over! Does anyone else ever do this when they finish books? I do it all the time. hehe There are so many emotions in this book! I felt so connected to this love story! I just adore an author that can connect her readers straight away. I knew the second Corbin was introduced he was my new book boyfriend. Hands down. I call dibs! Seriously she JUST mentioned him and I fell just as hard as our female lead, Paisley. I think maybe my jaw dropped too! Who wouldn't want those sexy muscled arms wrapped around them?
So besides sexy Corbin, what will you find between the pages of this adorable cover? Romance. A woman who has had her dreams of fairy tale love broken by the one man that should keep them alive. Paisley won't let anyone hold her down any longer than she allows. But Corbin has plans to keep her from running. He's enraptured by her and shows her in the sweetest, cutest ways. You will swoon hard for this one romance lovers!! Oh! Can't forget to mention the heat the author packs in here too! The between the sheets scenes!! *fans herself* Yummmmm! Chemistry is one way to put it. It's all over these pages! However, like any great love there are bumps on the road. Will the omissions and deceit be too much for this couple? Find out! You want to read this! I loved this book! Thank you Kandi Steiner for writing something sweet that I could get lost in. The world slipped away while I was reading this and that in MY opinion is exactly why I love to read!! I give this book my thumbs up!

I finally did it! I finally read Kandi’s first book. I’ve been reading Kandi Steiner for probably 5 years or so. I read every current release and have been picking at her backlist. I think I only have 2 books left, her poetry collection and What He Never Knew. It was really interesting to see how she started compared to where she is now. She has grown so much. It still read as one of her books and was really well done for a first published book. This romance is under 300 pages and I just wanted a little more flushing out. She knew how to bring out the heat in the romance department. I loved getting to know the characters and seeing their journey, but I just wanted a little more to really see them and their connections. It felt rushed at times, but also made sense that it was rushed since it was so short. I’m glad I finally picked this up!

4.5 Stars!

I loved this book. I am a sucker for a book with a man in uniform and on top of that a sexy soldier?! You can sign me up! This was really good. It was funny, heartwarming, sweet, sexy, and had enough angst to keep your heart pumping. This book took me on a such a sweet and fun ride that shows you sometimes love is worth fighting for.

This is Corbin and Paisley's story. Paisley doesn't do commitments. Damaged from her past, relationships are out of the question. When a bet is made, she thinks she has no problem winning. She is going to find that sometimes fate has other plans and what you have been running from is the best thing that could ever happened to you. This comes in the sexy soldier package named Corbin. He is going to push her limits and tear down her walls. He is going to make her think of possibilities. Will Paisley stop running and give Corbin a chance?

I loved Corbin! I admired his determination and perseverance with Paisley. He was also super sweet. I liked Paisley though I wanted to throttle her a could of times even if she was damaged and totally pulled at my heartstrings. These two had a lot of sizzling chemistry. I was rooting for them from the beginning.

I highly recommend this book!

This was silly. An emotionally immature young woman that only hooks up with military men to avoid commitment. A "dreamy" guy (really, she called him dreamboat) that's probably hiding something (it's not like she didn't know he had "someone", she just chose to ignore it, and then she was hurt when the "secret" came out. Stupid) and a best friend who has feelings for the h, and she does too, but then she doesn't know, but she still keeps making out with him even after starting a relationship with the H.
All of it was just silly drama. But what made me really mad was the dad. He was the perfect dad and perfect husband but all of a sudden he abandoned the wife and daughter for another woman. He claims he loved the wife so much, but she wasn't making him happy, and feel alive. Yeah, that's not love. That's selfishness and he's not a good guy. And the fact that the h was emotionally scared from her father's unfaithfulness, but she still didn't care about the possibility that the H had a wife or a girlfriend somewhere else, because she wasn't serious about him makes me dislike her even more, and that she's making out with the friend after starting a relationship with the H. She's incredibly selfcententered.
And not to forget, I Hate Insta-love stories.
The whole book was just really silly.

In an alternate universe where all book characters are real, and unicorns exist; you’d see me spinning around in circles deliriously happy because I would be best friends with Paisley. Yes that’s right readers, I am girl crushing on Paisley Bronson. We’d be the best of friends. We’d braid each other’s hair, eat endless amounts cookies we baked, namaste with the best of them, and scream “shawshank redemption” quotes at each other....."

This book is NOTHING like I have ever read before! I absolutely loved it. It was a fun read. At some times it can grab at your heart and make you sniff.

I believe this book grabbed me because I am a past military wife. I have seen tag chasers first hand. But I promise you this book will grab your attention and will not let it go. I give this book 6 stars. Yep! I said it, 6 stars. Way to go Kandi! You nailed it.

Its all in the title, Tag Chaser. Paisley Bronson is a Tag Chaser. Truthfully I had NO idea what a Tag Chaser was. So this was all new to me. Paisley only dates guys with tags, yeah I get it now. Army guys, HOT Army guys. She has some serious issues with commitment and does not want a relationship. Easier to just meet a guy, have a hot hook up, and then call it a day when he is deployed. That way there is no hurt, no commitments, no strings. But Paisley's best friend McKenzie has other plans. A Bet. A bet to see if she can actually date a normal guy, no tags. Maybe even try for strings....Try and date and have an actual relationship.

And in walks Corbin Ray. HOLLA!! Love this hot piece of ass!! Corbin is just smoking...Tall, dark hair and his eyes..these blue eyes that stare deep into you..Um hello Dreamboat!!!

So here is Paisley's chance to get to know a "normal" guy. And they get to know each other all right; they hang out, and talk...and kiss and get all hot and heavy!! But low and behold she finds out that Corbin is in the freakin Army!!! Are you kidding me?? There goes the bet....She doesn't want to lose the bet, and tries to back off but there is something more about Corbin that she needs. Something she craves. As fate would have it, he is now her new client at the advertising agency she works for and she must work closely with him.

Paisley and Corbin form a fast physical and emotional bond. I tell ya, he made me melt. He was so attentive to her, and he cares for her.

Corbin Ray

"I've never felt the things I feel when I'm with you, It scares the shit out of me." - Corbin

Everything about their relationship in the short period of time is inviting, and believable and endearing. Their back and forth text messages made me melt. It's perfect, she's getting what she wants finally, a great guy that cares about her, makes her want more. I felt everything she felt for Corbin, all her feelings, it all felt so real

Then just when I am sold on Corbin I swear you get thrown for a fucking loop, and in comes Tanner, Paisley bestest friend. And he's fucking HOT!! Who has a HOT best friend and doesn't lay a hand on him?? Paisley, seriously how have you not gotten involved with this boy? But you know what, Tanner loves her to death. And reading the scenes between the two of them, I wasn't sure who I wanted for Paisley. Tanner or Corbin. I actually LOVE the connection Tanner and Paisley share. They have something, something great. And he wants more!!

Men...they always know when to come along at the wrong time, just when Corbin is doing the right thing.
Paisley is torn. I would be. Tanner is so easy, they are so easy together. But Corbin, he has her heart.

"I want to kiss you, I want to kiss away all the pain in your heart, all the doubt in your mind that tells you you're not the most beautiful girl in the world, Please, let me kiss you." - Tanner

Really Tanner??? OMG this guy is killing me.

Okay seriously at some point it all goes down, and I swear I was having a heart attack reading. My heart was racing, I was reading way too fast. And yes crying. I needed to pick my jaw up off the floor, literally. Deep breaths Trish, deep breaths.

"It's like everything in my world is crashing down around me and there's nothing I can do to stop it, nothing I can do to even salvage a tiny piece of what's left of me." - Paisley

Hearts are breaking all over the place. Is it too late??? Corbin is being deployed, can she fix this??? Just too many things are said, too many lies...I swear this book is so real, and angsty.

The author does such a good job of making you feel so connected with these characters in such a short period of time. And its so beautifully written. What an emotional read for me, I was just all over the place. I wished there was more. I didn't want this story to end.

I highly recommend this book; it's a great read, great writing, great characters, great plot....Highly Schmexy!!

Occasionally there will come a book that exceeds all my expectations, this was such a book. I honestly cannot say that there is any one thing about this book that I loved, it was just the entire thing, there was no tipping point, from the very first words this book sucked me in and I literally did not move for a good few hours till it was finished. It made me smile, it made me laugh out loud, it had me white knuckling the kindle in parts and chanting no no please no. It just got to me. This is the first book I've read by this author and it has thoroughly won me over, it certainly won't be the last. I love the authors style of writing, everything just flows so well, there were no points that it felt stilted or like something was just there as filler, every moment seemed to have its own relevance in making the story the masterpiece it is. I will admit to not actually knowing what a tag chaser was when I started the book, but it wasn't long until I got it. Which thankfully meant I didn't spend half the book wondering where the title came from. As for the characters, Paisley was pretty much a typical twenty-something, but with some very personal issues. Although they do have an effect on her life, she doesn't really turn into the poor pity me stereotype that you often come across in books. She still lives her life, has good friends, and just generally gets on with things. She has two best friends, McKenzie and Tanner, both of whom I adored, McKenzie had some awesome lines, was super supportive and understanding and just generally everything you'd want in a best friend. Tanner too was an awesome friend, total hottie and possibly a bit of a heart breaker but ultimately, there for Paisley no matter what, they did have some bumps along the way but then when you're that close to something its pretty much inevitable that there will be times that things happen, to me it just added an extra dimension of reality with that happening. Of course when we talk about the character we can't forget Corbin, what a sweetheart. It was pretty much impossible not to fall in love with him, as it says in the blurb, he's practically perfect. The thing is you never quite know how things will turn out, while its not really a will they won't they you still have the suspense of being unsure how it'll turn out, no matter how much you wish for the happy ending that you hope they get. I felt my break at some points of story, everyone has a past and most of them have sad parts, Paisley and Corbin are no exception and its hard to know if this will ultimately bring them together or tear them apart. The good thing though is that there is no cliffhanger, so no matter what you want to have happened, you will know if it has or not when you get to the end of the book. Honestly, I would recommend this book to pretty much everyone, it does have some steamy moments which are done tastefully but at the same time have enough heat to keep probably everyone happy without going overboard. My best advice would just be to give it a try, I sincerely doubt you will be be disappointed.

I LOVED this story! I have been in a reading funk lately and this was EXACTLY what I needed! I had NO idea I was going to love this book. It was perfect. I of course think the Rachel thing could of been avoided had she just asked Corbin, but it makes for an interesting story. I loved her baking, it was nice to see the passion she had for it. I truly hope there is another book and she gets maybe a bakery? I want a wedding and babies and I just do not see it as being over, or maybe I don`t want it to be! I loved Corbin and even though I do want more, it did end perfectly and it honestly does not need more, I just am greedy. Haha. I was worried for a bit at the end how they were going to get their HEA and in time, then I kept thinking maybe the author was going to break out hearts with him being deployed, but no. I am so happy and pleased with this book. Paisley was a tag chaser ( ps- I have never even heard of the term and I loved the idea) she has been chasing “tags” for years. Her father royally screwed her up for all men. Until one night a knight in shining armor steps in, he is a dream boat and Paisley cannot help but swoon over him. of course she has just made a bet with her best friend to not chase any tags for a year. So when she learns Corbin is in the military she tries to run and get away as fast as she can, but she cannot help how she feels. This story was truly wonderful and I loved it. A must read for sure.

Some quotes I enjoyed:

“ So let me be the bad guy,”

“But I still think we could make a pretty good story together, ”

“We have to believe that at the end of the day, the love we have is worth all the bad stuff, because all the good stuff is what makes it so amazing.”

“But I promise you one thing I won`t do. I won`t give up on this, on you. I`m not going anywhere, and I`m not letting you run away from me unless you tell me that`s what you want.”

“If it was up to me, I`d keep you here forever and the round would never end.”

“Sometimes you have to walk out on a limb, knowing you could fall thirty feet to the hard ground, just to see f that apple on the edge is worth the risk like you think it is.”

“Corbin is not my easy, Tanner, but he is still the one my heart wants.”

Contains some spoilers

Let me jump right into this review with one word….CORBIN! A delicious mid-western guy with a sexy accent who fights off a guy for you in the middle of a crowded bar. You look into his eyes and hear his southern drawl as you shake off the anxiety left behind by the douche who just tried to molest you on the dance floor. Corbin…….

For every day of doubt that has plagued Paisley about whether a relationship could really last, she decided she would rather avoid it than tackle it. If her own father couldn’t make it last with her mother, why should she think it would work for her? Instead, she became a tag chaser by going after men who were going to be deployed and only available for a short time. Paisley ends up making a bet with her best friend that she would stop her chasing ways and find someone who could truly love her.

While the plan backfires in a unique way, Paisley is forced to confront her demons and take a hard look in the mirror at the person she has become. Thankfully a misunderstanding sets her on the right path to go after what she wants. Throw a hot male best friend (Tanner) in the mix and you have yourself one recipe for disaster.

Overall, Tag Chaser is a sweet love story you will get lost in. Corbin is insanely attractive and has a personality to match. His relationship is one of those where forever just won’t be long enough. You can feel his connection knowing he is all in. The way he romances and speaks is how everyone woman deserves to be treated. Paisley was lucky enough to be able to break through her protective shield to really embrace all that was being offered to her. It will never be easy for her and she may run again someday but hopefully it will always lead her right back into the arms of the man she wants to believe is her happily ever after.

Every road leads to a destination. No matter how long and winding the path may be, the end will reward you. Paisley was rewarded with her willingness to forgive her father and believe in the magic of love. It took her awhile but she figured out you can’t ever get hurt if you don’t put yourself out there in the first place and truly live.

This is Corbin and Paisley's book.
I gave this book 5 stars.

I fell head first into this book! Couldn't put it down.
Paisley thinks she knows what she wants out of life. Nothing. She wants to live her life do her job and not get involved with any man. She has seen first hand how love turns out, and she is jaded. She is a tag chaser, someone who only dates military men. Why? Because she can have some fun for a couple of weeks and then cut them lose when they are being deployed. It is easy, it is neat, and it is what she is used to. Her best friend makes her a bet that she can't stay away from the tags for one whole year. Well that might be a little hard, but she can never pass up on a bet. Of course, the first night she is out she runs into Corbin.

Beautiful, delicious Corbin. Only flaw Corbin has? Yep, you guessed it he's a soldier. It is really hard for Paisley to keep her distance and she does run several times. With all she has gone through and with her tendencies to run can Corbin make her see that he is worth it if she stays? Can they make it work?

So much drama. Misunderstandings, and lots of running.
But it was a great book that kept me captivated, and wanting more. Who could ask for more? Well I can I want the next book!
:) This story is about learning that life is not always the same way for you as it is for someone else. It is about learning to trust and learning to love with your whole heart. Thank you Kandi for a wonderful read, I look forward to reading more from you in the future. <3

-The author's writing is pretty good.
- It wasn't a bad book- just not my cup of tea for the storyline.

A few things kinda ruined this book for me.
#1- Paisley's Dad. I cannot stand this type of storyline for cheating- He had a wonderful marriage and then inexplicably he was drawn to this other woman who he leaves his family for. His wife of 20+ years catches him cheating and he doesn't apologize for loving the OW and leaving her for the woman, but does say he was sorry it turned out that way. What a complete douche- add to the fact that he traumatizes his daughter view of relationships forever and then wants her forgiveness for leaving his wife and daughter for the other woman. Then Paisley goes to him and forgives him. What he did was inexcusable. The way he explains it just left this horrible feeling in my gut because he doesn't say that there as anything wrong with his marriage- but that the new wife (OW) Janie just made him feel so alive- what a crock of shit. Like I said this just ruined it for me completely. I know I know- a totally small storyline that shouldn't do it, but I felt like that situation was just awful.
update- just read this article that goes so well with this story- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/art...

#2. not a fan of instalove

#3. Paisley ran WAY too much. I know why, but still it just kept going.

#4. I hate love triangles. She kissed Tanner! WTF.

Damn it, why did Paisley Bronson have to accept that bet from McKenzie? Paisley is proud member of the Tag Chaser Club—no commitment, just fun…what’s wrong with that?

Well, there’s nothing wrong until Paisley meets Corbin Ray the same night as accepting the “no tag chasing for a year” bet—and, of course, Corbin is active duty Army. Oh, and he also happens to be Paisley’s new client at work.

Will Paisley run away from the instant sparks and attraction she feels with Corbin? Can Corbin convince her to look beyond the hurt and disappointment from her past to give him and a relationship a try?

I liked this book. I really wanted to love it, but I had a hard time connecting to Paisley and her deep rooted objection for a relationship. Paisley, at times, is very likeable—especially with the fun back and forth banter with Tanner, her best friend. But other times, Paisley is very self-absorbed and naïve and, for a 27 year old woman, very immature. She’s not speaking to her father, she runs from every potential commitment—all based upon the breakup of her parent’s marriage. Sorry, her parents split up when she was a senior in college—old enough to know how relationships work between couples and that not everything you see or hear is true. Her commitment phobia just doesn’t come across as realistic. I did love Corbin though. He’s a guy who knows what he wants, isn’t afraid to go after it and hold onto it. ~ Missy, 3.5 stars

Tag Chaser is a love story at its core but also had a different plot to it. It was a great book. We loved it. This story is about Paisley, a self proclaimed tag chaser. She dates guys for a few weeks and then breaks up with them, never letting them get too close. When she meets Corbin, he changes things for her. Corbin is a sexy, strong Army man with a past and secrets of his own. Paisley is a kick ass main character and I absolutely love her personality. Paisley was fun and entertaining, Tanner sexy and sweet and a great best friend anyone would be lucky to have and then Corbin..oh Corbin, so sexy! And I swear everyone needs a best friend like McKenzie. She is a great tell it like it is, no bs kinda girl! We just all around adored this book! The way Kandi writes makes you feel what her characters are feeling and makes you feel like you are actually experiencing it with them. You will find yourself so wrapped up into the story and not realizing you have been reading a story and not listening to her tell you it in person. We are looking forward to the second book Song Chaser! We know it is going to be just as good as Tag Chaser!

Just finished it a minute ago....ok, so yes, i won this book months ago in paperback... and after talking to the author a few days ago i realized that i never read it....because i read all my books on my kindle, so i bought it and just finished!

Yes, I would read it again, Paisley and Corbin's story was a very sweet romance and let me feel like, when your meant to be, you will be. Her best friends make the story come to life with having a great support system for her life's ups and downs. Corbin is such a fresh change from all the uber alpha males being written, he is sweet and funny and nothing he does with Paisley is taken lightly. I am so glad that they had a realistic pull/push/pull to their relationship. Far from perfect, but incredibly hot and steamy and moments to make you swoon!

The main reason it took so long is the fact that I don't read paperbacks, and being a blogger it seemed I always had another book that I 'had to' read. I am so glad I was reminded that i had never read the book by posting a picture of my quirky 'book condoms'!

I loved Tag Chaser and am looking forward to Song Chaser!!

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed reading Tag Chaser. Paisley has been damaged by things in her past and doesn't trust anyone enough to be in a relationship. She has a best friend, McKenzie who is there for her always. Paisley, however, won't open up to her best friend about why she doesn't trust relationships. That part of the story line is why I gave this book a 3 instead of 4 stars. Paisley's reasoning really did not add up in my head and I had a difficult time seeing as that being the "reason" she didn't want a relationship. As common as it is in America, I found it anti-climatic when she finally shared what her hang up was to McKenzie. McKenzie bets Paisley that she can not go one year without tag chasing (only dating military guys because they are bound to leave). Soon after the bet is made Paisley meets Corbin Ray. I have to say that Ms. Steiner did a wonderful job on her male lead. I enjoyed the character immensely. I really liked Steiner's writing style and it could have been 4 stars except for the back story on Paisley's pain and distrust.

Tag Chaser
By: Kandi Steiner
I highly recommend this book. I had a hard time at first getting into it but after the first chapter I couldn’t put Tag Chaser down. If you are looking for a awesome romance with a little erotica this is the book for you! You will laugh, you will cry, you will be angry, and your heart will be beating out of your chest and you will love every minute of it.

**Spoiler Alert**
Paisley has been hurt by a man in her life and has become a tag chaser. She likes that the men in the military never stay in one place long so she does not have to worry about getting attached. Corbin a man in town on business catches Paisley’s eye when he saves her from some drunk jerk one night at a club. Corbin also happens to be a new client of Paisley’s. They spend less than 2 weeks with each other before Corbin has to be deployed.
That is all I am going to tell you about the book because I just cant give away to much or I will be giving away all the good parts. So my suggestion to you is go buy Tag Chaser!!

Tag Chaser is a sweet and funny story starring Paisley and Corbin. Paisley is a 'Tag chaser', i.e. she likes military men because it's easy to not get attached. She's a strong, independent love em' and leave em' kind of girl. At least that's what she wants you to think.

Corbin is in Florida to spend a few weeks before he gets deployed for the last time. Hoping to open a business which will honor his best friend, Paisley is assigned to his account at a local marketing firm.

Sparks fly and even though Paisley has sworn off military men, she can't help falling for Corbin. Both will have to fight through their pasts to see if they can have a future.

I enjoyed Ms. Steiner's writing style. These characters have a lot of life to them and the banter is fun. There is definitely some steam here but it's not too much to interfere with the story. I actually enjoyed the side characters more than the main ones here which works out since there will be a spin off releasing soon!

Definitely recommended!

The story has laughs, a bet, betrayal, and heartbreak. I was pulled right into this story.

This is Paisley and Corbin’s story. Paisley and her best friend mad a bet that she could not stay away from men that wear dog tags. When she agrees to the bet she is sure she will win. Her first night out after making the bet she meets Corbin. The chemistry between them is smoking hot. But when she finds his tags she knows she can’t have him. She runs out on him. She soon finds out that he is her new client. All the time they spend together working the more they want to be together. Once Paisley decides to go for it with Corbin she finds out something that rips them apart. Between the lies there friends tell can they truly have a chance together or will all be lost to misunderstandings and jealousy?

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story in this series.

Wonderful debut book from Kandi Steiner!! Tag Chaser is a sweet love story about Paisley who has been a "Tag Chaser" since college and Corbin the sexy military guy. Paisley makes a bet with her best friend McKenzie that she can date normal guys. Paisley believes that she can win this bet until she meets sexy Corbin. Sorry no spoilers from me as I recommend that you read the book to see if Paisley chose Corbin over winning the bet! Kandi's writing style makes it easy to follow and kept me wanting more. I read this book in one day as it is a quick, fun, and easy read. I have already added Kandi's next book to my TBR!!!

Paisley was not ashamed of her single status, she wasn't ready to settle down and enjoyed having fun. When she meets Corbin Ray she is in the middle of a bet but finds herself quickly falling for him. Paisley has avoided relationships but with Corbin she finds she is wanting something special, it is all about to implode though when Corbin finds out some important details about Paisley that she has never shard.

Great story, I liked Corbin from the very beginning. Paisley it took a bit to warm up to but the chemistry between Corbin and Paisley is undeniable. I liked that Paisely grew throughout the story and understood her internal struggles. Great book.

*I like the later works of this author*

Gave up on this one. It’s like it’s not even the same author! This early work reads like an air heads diary. I don’t know what happened in the last few years that changed the writing style and voice of this author, but I’m glad it happened! Love most of her later work.

*This review may contain spoilers*

“I will do everything I can to be the man that you want, the man that the seven-year-old you used to dream about. I will bring you flowers, I’ll take care of you when you’re sick, I’ll give you space when you need it and I’ll never leave your side when you want someone there. I want to be better than I am because of you, Paisley.”

I ABSOLUTELY loved this book. I seriously can't believe I waited so long to read it. This book starts off with a bet from the main character Paisley's best friend McKenzie. Paisley is to stop her Tag Chasing ways and try a real relationship with a normal guy, one that doesn't wear dog tags. Being who she is, Paisley doesn't back down and takes the bet. But boy does she regret it. Not to soon after Paisley makes the bet, she meets Corbin. He is everything I want in a man, so no wonder Paisley wanted him. He is Charming, Sweet, and Sexy as Hell. Oh yeah, did I forget to tell you that he is also in the Army. She finds that out by snooping through his things while he takes unexpected phone call. Realizing he is in the Army, Paisley runs for the hills because she is determined to win that bet. She literally ran out on Corbin at his hotel room. Seriously?! Yeah Seriously! Well after she leaves him she goes home and does what she does best when she emotionally overwhelmed, she bakes. Going to work the next morning she thinks she is in the clear, but low and behold who shows up at her work, Corbin. He becomes her new client. He is wanting to open up a gym.  That's when the story takes off. He is determined to not give up without a fight until she agrees to give him a shot. Let me tell you, that Paisley puts up one hell of a fight. After everything that happened with her parents, with her dad cheating on her mom, she doesn't trust anybody. She always keeps people, especially guys at an arms reach away. Never willing to get to close, with the fear of having any relationship go through, what her parents went through. She holds a lot of resentment towards her dad that affects her relationships now. Thats why she chose to be a Tag Chaser, knowing that she would never have to get to close because the guys would eventually leave for deployment, so things never got to serious. But Corbin changed all that. Paisley felt this instant connection with Corbin that scared her. She had never felt this strongly for someone and she tries to fight her growing feelings for him, and Corbin fights right back for her to open up to him. Corbin's very open with her to a point. He opens up to her about his past and wants her to know him and what he wants out of life. But their is one thing that he has not opened up about, which is his phone calls, to who shall be named later on. That leaves poor Paisley wondering who is calling, is it his sister, girlfriend or worse his wife. At this point though she is a goner. Corbin slowly starts taking down Paisley's walls, that she built to keep everyone of interest out. Not knowing rather to trust him or not. She finally, I mean FINALLY gives in and let's him do just that, and slowly let him in. She is falling for Corbin and falling for him hard. And oh my goodness! That first sex scene between Paisley and Corbin was freaking off the charts. Trust me their sexy scenes seem to get hotter and hotter as the book goes on. There is a scene with a restaurant kitchen and the stripping of clothes and a camera that was to die for. Loved it. So, after everything seems to be going right for Paisley, her best friend Tanner enters the picture. Tanner is hot, charming, funny and most of all dependable. He is always there for Paisley, no matter what. But as his visit with her wears on, he is starting to see how much she is falling for Corbin. Which leads to him getting jealous. While Paisley enjoys having Tanner there, she starts to question their friendship and where it's heading. Then one night they are hanging out drinking, and they finally Kiss. Not just a peck either, a full on deep kiss. But as realization hits Paisley on what she is doing, she pulls away from the kiss feeling guilty for having crossed that line with her best friend while falling for Corbin. I literally was yelling at her to stop. Don't get me wrong I love Tanner, but nobody will compare to Corbin in my eyes. Paisley belongs with Corbin. So after that mistake she goes home and Corbin surprises her with a weekend away. More than ready to spend some one on one time with Corbin, she agrees. This right here was a very pivotal moment in their relationship. Paisley finally realizes that her feelings for Corbin are far stronger than she wanted to believe, she was falling in love with him. This was when I also fell hard for Corbin. He is such a sweet, caring and loving individual. He treats Paisley so good. Their weekend away was full of surprises that completely swept Paisley off her feet. The day before the are supposed to leave to go back home, Corbin gets a phone call. But being indisposed in the bathroom, Paisley decides to answer it. I was screaming at her not to do it and she did anyway. Of course you can probably guess what happens next, she once again feels hurt, betrayed and angry about Corbin not telling her the truth about who kept calling him. So of course who does she call to save her, Tanner, who else?! Which leads to Corbin feeling furious and hurt all the same, she didn't even give Corbin a chance to explain, she just left. Then getting to the end of the book, I am a straight out mess. What will happen next? Will Paisley forgive Corbin and give him a chance to explain? Will she try to move from Corbin with Tanner? Will Tanner finally admit his feelings for Paisley? Who was on that phone call? Will Paisley finally forgive her dad and move on from that hurt? You want to know don't you?! Well read the book, I am not going to spoil it for you. But I will tell you, that ending was Perfect! I couldn't have asked for a better ending. Corbin is officially added to my favorite all time book boyfriends. With that being said, I want more Corbin!

This was one of those books for me, that I connected with the main character on such a personal level. I have gone through a lot of what Paisley went through. So, I understood why she felt the way she felt  towards her Dad and Corbin, having gone through pretty much the same circumstances in my life. This book left me feeling that maybe one day I will meet my Corbin and have the kind of relationship that's filled with Faith, Hope and Love like theirs. Thank you Kandi Steiner for giving us such and Amazing story and Corbin. I will definitely be reading more of her work. She has a real talent for it. I definitely recommend this book, you will not be disappointed.

This book is an interesting concept. I love the idea of a girl being a Tag Chaser (a person who goes for Army people) and making a bet with her friend about not being able to go after a tag for a year. But then oops she meets this perfect, insanely hot guy at a bar who winds up being in the Army. Double oops, he winds up being her new client.

I mean for the most part it was angsty in a really annoying way. Like I found myself asking if Paisley really was 27 and not 15 with the sex drive of a rabbit because god lord I’m trying to find any substance to their relationship anything that would make me be like I want that in a guy, but mostly it was them having lots of sex. Not like there’s anything wrong with that but I just wished it wasn’t based on how hot he is (for a while I was worried thinking “hot” was the only word in Paisley’s vocabulary).

My main issue with this book was I couldn’t connect with Paisley at all. Like I’m not the kind of person who goes out to parties or gets drunk every night. I found her reasons for anything lame and selfish. Also if you read this book be prepared for a lot of running away from Paisley because that girl has so many insecurities that they stop being cute after a while.

I kind of liked Corbin, but I feel like we never got any substance from him and I would have liked getting his perspective. I loathe Tanner and think he was literally a plot device to move the story along. Also I don’t get what the big deal about the bet was and why are people using that as a way to define Paisley?

It’s not a bad book by any means, but it just left me being like “meh”.
