Here's a ghost story for anyone looking for a Halloween treat. It doesn't have anything to do with Halloween, but it features Derek, the werewolf ghost.

No one in this fic looks like this--but still! Werewolf ghost! Raaaawr!

In this version of events, Derek, along with his whole family, dies in the fire at age 15. Out of all of them, Derek becomes a ghost--probably because he has a lot of karma to work out over the whole Kate fiasco. (Stop thinking with your wieners, boys.)

Okay, he's definitely not 15 in this pic, but let's just pretend, shall we?

Fast forward 6 years--Stiles and his father (who's a deputy) move to Beacon Hills and guess what? That's RIGHT, they move into the house built over the former Hale house. Good job guessing, you guys.

As it turns out Stiles is a Mediator, meaning he can see, touch (that's important) and banish ghosts. But he doesn't want to banish Derek--oh no--but how will he get Derek back into his super hot 20-something yr old bod?

It's a conundrum.

Started out a little slow but once the feelz made an appearance and Stiles started messing around with his Mediator skills I enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed the last bit at the end from Derek's POV.

Derek + pining = AWESOME

A Stiles who sees dead people meets a very angry 15 year old Derek who died in the Hale fire.

Some really sweet kisses happen.

Time travelling/alternate time line hopping soon follows.

I was a little confused about some of that but it was all far too adorable for me to give much of a shit about it!

Is Stiles technically a year older than Derek?

Loved the ending!

Cute and sweet and at times really sad!

Stiles sees dead people. Yep. Like that kid.

He and his dad just moved to Beacon Hills and a 15 year old Derek is haunting their house.

It's cute and the ending left me with smiley happy feelz.

This was awesome!!

It seems I like the Stereks where Stiles and Derek haven’t met before the most. I like it that they have to get to know each other.
It’s okay with me if the book resembles the show, but I like it best if the characters are all there, but all have different relations to each other than in the show. It makes it more interesting.

Here we have Derek, who has died in a house fire, along with his family, when he was 15. He turns into a ghost and haunts the place for 6 years. Until a new family moves in. This would be 16 year old Stiles and his father, the deputy.

Stiles sees ghosts, always has.

description

He has been helping them to cross over. So when he encounters the ghost werewolf in his own home, he wants to help.

He learns from a girl in school, Lydia, that he is a mediator, just like her. Mediators can see ghosts, help them cross over, but can also time shift to help stop certain events in the past.

Stiles is trying to figure out how to go back to the past to stop the hunters from burning Derek’s house down.

And of course Stiles and ghost Derek fall in love…

What a great story! I loved it. Mediator Stiles and ghost Derek were incredibly cute together. And there is a lovely HEA. I loved how the writer solved everything.

No sex in this one, but there is a short sequel for those of us who crave the smexy times in our books.

It squeezed my heart, but it's pretty amateurish.
Zosofi has always had a knack for hitting people right in the feels, but she does it a lot harder now, and she also makes you laugh your ass off.

I love a good ghost story.

This was no exception. This was a good ghost story.

It seems a really good ghost story is going to be sad and this was sad. I felt sad and nervous.

I am easily confused by time travel or shifting or whatever. So yeah, I was kind of like huh? at one part but I didn’t really care because, well, my boys matter more than me understanding that.

So yeah, good, good, good story.

Weird that Derek was younger than Stiles. Curious.

Oh, there is a 2nd part too that has to be read because it is totally hot. Like, crazy. It’s sweet and funny too.

EDIT: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Not an easy fic to find a picture for. Both of these make Stiles ghost like. They are made for each other though and that kinda happens. I just kinda liked the 2nd one.

Bit quirky cute at the start the Stiles as a ghost seeing and touching Mediator was interesting. My rating is more down to my feels rather a judgement on the work.

Theres a time-travel twist and I'm not a fan of those. Here it didn't entirely make sense. Up to that point I liked the fic.

Mainly the 'go back and make things happy' isn't a premise I like; because hell we all have shit in our lives but you gotta learnt to live with that, it feels immature to conveniently go back and make it so all the bad stuff never happened. I prefer seeing characters working through things. This is my personal view but explains why this fics not going to work for me.

In summary - it's probably a great little fic, just not for me ;)

Another unique and captivatingly written Sterek.

I was hesitant to read this as I loooove HEAs and this Sterek features the guilt-ridden, trapped ghost of a murdered 15 years old (or 21 years old depending on how one sees it) werewolf and a 16 years old human "Mediator" who is only beginning to learn his powers, the new kid in town, never been kissed and has his whole life in front of him to experience. How could this even begin to move toward a HEA?

Somehow ... it did and brilliantly.

Sweet and cute and awesome.

Re-read 5/2020: Still great. I hadn’t remembered how things resolved so that was fun to re read. And now there’s a sequel!

I love Sterek. It is my go to feel good books. This story had a lot going on. Since it was so short it felt a bit rushed. It still had my sassy Stiles and broody Derek. Even dead Derek and Stiles find there way through together. The time travel twist made the way to a perfect end.

This was a little slow to start but then it was kinda nice. It was a good idea for the storyline and when I thought it might have got confusing with the time change and what happened afterwards (can't say too much or it will spoil it), it all worked out and made sense.

The romance in this was more sweet and romantic than hot and sexy - we get a lot of kissing, but then you get more in the Sequel.

Sequel: "Play Again?" - http://archiveofourown.org/works/779483

This short follow on from Spook was good - I liked the mix of present time and a few flashbacks of memories to tell some of what's happened since the end of Spook. Yeah and pretty hot too - I always like the way zosofi writes the sex scenes - they always feel hot and sexy but with a lot of feeling there aswell.
