I just loved this. LOVED THIS. New favorite. Not sure I can totally explain, but it's sweet, and very hot, and manages to make a compelling, believable tale out of what could have been a ludicrous, porntastic prompt--i.e. Stiles as rent boy and Derek as his John. Nothing cheap here; the prostitution part was sad without crossing over into tragiboy territory.
I hinted in the status updates, but I might as well make it official: this is now my favorite Derek POV story evah. (There's some Stiles POV, but it's not evenly divided.) For all I love Sterek, I find Derek a problematic character. I mean what exactly are his personality traits: non-verbal, frowny, emotionally constipated, brooding? Are we seeing a pattern here? Too often, authors fall into generic Alpha-hottie territory with him, a lustful foil to Stiles, who is, to put it mildly, almost overburdened with personality, as in he has more than enough for two people (arguably three--himself, Derek, and Scott). It is just too easy for Derek to turn into a sort of compendium of desirable traits, without much purpose than to fulfill Stiles'/the readers' fantasies. And hey, they're my fantasies too, or I wouldn't be on this effing Teen Wolf FanFic binge, but when you're looking for stories that matter to you, I am going to need more.
This was more: Derek has his usual painful backstory, but it provokes a complex reaction to Stiles and the challenge he presents--a teenager, clearly in a very bad situation, whom Derek wants badly but also wants to do right by. Their whole encounter is a battle between Derek's own needs and raw lust, his general anti-social instincts, and the sympathy and protectiveness Stiles rouses. In this story Stiles was definitely on the more vulnerable end of his personality spectrum, mostly because of the crisis that drove him to this point and his very believable and heart-breaking amount of shame over having to turn tricks. The author did a great job showing how his confidence grows along with their relationship, allowing his usual wittiness to bloom without having it dominate the story as it usually does. We have no difficulty inferring his motives throughout, but I really appreciated how deep the author was able to dig with Derek's conflicting motives, self-reproach over his desire, and difficulties controlling himself.
I did indicate it was hot, right?
Bottom line; not too hard to figure out that I really liked this, recommend it, hope you like it too, etc. etc. I'll just add here that I am really enjoying exchanging recs and reviews and hearing what everyone else on the Sterek express-train-to-Hell/Beacon-Hills thinks of this and the 57 million other Teen Wolf fics available on our favorite hosting site. Seriously, this has been very fun.

A nothing short of amazing beginning. Hot, dirty, sexy, sweet and compelling. In fact, it was so strong that I anticipated another 5 star Sterek.
But along the way the writer made several style choices that somewhat pulled me out of the story. For example: what’s with the sudden ‘babes’? There weren’t many, but they didn’t fit the dynamics and every time I came across one I did an involuntary full body shudder. And why the sudden ‘the other man/ the older man’s’? I didn't feel Derek’s around the 30% mark either. It came out of nowhere and felt at odds with the careful build-up until then. And a minor eye-brow raising moment: the sudden gulp of mouth-water? Whut?:D

I don’t buy that Derek, who acted on his wolf instincts when laying eyes upon Stiles for the first time would suddenly go all martyr and mushy: seriously? Just..no.).

Well written, a bit angsty a good balance of smut to plot.
The pov is mainly Derek's with odd chapters of Stiles.
Stiles as a prostitute; still in high school, with no-one knowing - not the most convincing although his exhaustion is mentioned I kept expecting it to turn out to be an 'I just wanted to get laid' stupid idea and him be a virgin, I couldn't quite get the impression of him having been doing this every w/e and gaining bad experiences.
Also 'Mating Moon' - I expected more sex! LOL but I do love when they snuggle. And there were far more feels here than I expected.
Liked Derek's protective (wanna sex him up, and keep him he's MINE) vibe:

Derek is being called by the mating moon, a time where his heat is particularly strong. In the process of holing himself up in his apartment, he just so happens to come across his mate in the form of a rent boy. Stiles hasn't been doing this long; extenuating circumstances forcing him into this lifestyle.
"The wolf only cares that this kid will taste like summer and trees and cool, bare earth and mate."
This is a grittier fic, the topics more serious, the feels definitely deeper. It's mostly in Derek's POV which I'm finding that I like a lot since it leads to a greater level of surprisingly insightful emotions. Derek's wolf urges and desires play prominently, though take heed that this isn't the crazy, mindless frenzy of A/B/O heat cycles. His connection to Stiles is instant and tied with hormones and base needs. But at the same time he wants to make a true and honest connection despite the sad and awkward situation that brought them together. Once that trust is gained, the results are explosive.
"Stiles is so far over his head, damn Derek for bewitching him with honest desire and compassion and his magic goddamn cock."
"But Derek is mumbling praise and curses… it's Stiles' body and Stiles' responsiveness and Stiles' words that are breaking that iron control and he... just lets go."
I must admit that this is probably one of the hottest Stereks I've read so far, but it's only because it has the added bonus of having the most raw, affecting, intimate feels tied with these scenes that make them so powerful. It was beautiful to witness their love growing over time in understated reveals and small gestures. This was just amazing and I'm in awe of these authors who continue to indulge our addiction. Keep them coming please!

My first Sterek ... And I am hooked!oh the feels, oh the angst. Perfectly written up to about Chapter 10 . Then it just got a bit wobbly, because the tone kind of changed and I was really into how the previous chapters "felt", but kept my attention none-the-less. This was awesome! How I love Stiles as a prostitute. And protective Derek is the best.

A really interesting and creative AU history with some enjoyable twists and a lightning-quick yet perfectly plausible relationship development.
Stiles and Derek never struck me as particularly in character, but neither were they OOC, so don't let their characterisation be a deciding factor in whether you read this or not - just figure out if you're intrigued by a clever, passionate and weirdly cosy hooker romance.

This was really good...I am onto the 2nd book now....
The best thing that I liked about this book was that we get a more vocal Derek...and the author did a very good job of retaining the INTENSE, brooding, silent and quiet Derek-which basically makes Derek who he is and made him vocal when it was required...at just the right places....which actually felt just right
Stiles was Stiles...and I love him for that....with the added angst..it was awesome...loved it...

I can only say that this made me happy, and that's one of the best reactions a book can give. Read it, I loved it, it's fantastic. Lilia's review explains why.

Wonderful #Sterek fanfic. Well written, emotional, and just enough smut to satisfy this fic reader. This story stands out among the others in the fic smorsgabord in which I recently indulged. Don't forget to check out the two mini stories that the author posted on AO3. You can read those afterwards, and it makes the story that much more fun.

Stiles prostytutka i Derek, który rozpoznaje w nim swojego partnera. Sporo seksu, co niespecjalnie przysłużyło się historii. Dużym błędem było, że zgodnie z sugestią autorki przeczytałam przed epilogiem drugą część, która uzupełniała brakujący czas. Nic to nie wniosło, a zniszczyło tylko konstrukcję ficka. Dlatego sugeruję innym czytelnikom, żeby pominąć zupełnie drugą i trzecią część.

Cute and easy read. 2.5 stars I guess.
What didn't work for me were the references to the TV show. And it bugged me to no end that I had no clear concept of what Stiles and Derek were really like.
Everyone who recommended I try fictions with Derek Hale and Stiles Stilinski told me I didn't need to watch the show to enjoy the stories. I disagree. I felt a bit lost when it came to understanding the characters. I didn't know all their traits and I spent half the story trying to figure out which gesture, word or feeling was meant to be showed as important, especially compared to the regular Derek Hale and Stiles Stilinski from the show.
Taken as standalone, the characters in this story were cute. I wanted Derek to be a bit more rough around the edges, not quite so protective of Stiles and letting him do anything. The prostitution angle was rather downplayed since it was only used to introduce Derek and Stiles, create a few sparks of conversation then nothing came of it. There was nothing else to create angst or trepidation.
It was decent enough that I might try another Sterek fiction. So that's saying something.

3.5 stars For a novella in which almost every scene is another sex scene... there's a surprisingly lot of depth and story. I enjoyed this and thought the strong emotions in such a short time were believable. Perfectly sweet HFN ending, although I'd love to see where they go from here.

Enjoyable fanfic, even though the whole rentboy premise usually isn't really for me, but I liked it here.

I thought this would be too much PWP for me but really it was a very good story.
I enjoyed seeing into both Stiles and Derek's heads via their POVs.
