Ok, this is a dark story. I love dark stories. It has so, so much potential. But it is in desperate need of editing. There are:

Subject-verb inconsistencies
Random capitalization
Incorrect dialogue formatting
Inconsistent tenses (without purpose)
Spelling mistakes
Missing punctuation
Incorrect word usage

It was just incredibly difficult to read with all of the above. The content itself isn't bad, but the execution strips so much away from the reading experience, unfortunately. I applaud the author for taking the jump to self publish but basic editing would do so much to help this book reach a wider audience, IMO anyway.

I never DNF anything but really wanted to here, and would have if it wasn't a Christmas gift from my husband.

I think that the book offers a much greater value than one can expect due to the book cover. I would recommend this book to read to any lover of detective novels, psychological twists, suspense, fantastic settings and creative approach, as to everyone who can appreciate the depth of human psyche and real values in live.
Really nice reading, thank you.

The first 12 and a half pages were decent. Everything after that was terrible.
