Flin, Geordie and Jessica, the best of friends, are finally about to move into their first house. A great excitement, but now in their mid twenties, has life somehow lost its zest? A few years into their careers, work is no longer quite so interesting. And when are they ever going to have a real relationship?
And so a pact is made. One year on, as the lease on the house runs out, they all have to have moved on in life, with better jobs and love lives blooming.
The race is on.
As each season unfolds, the competition has its peaks and troughs: themed parties and office romance (women), rugby matches and stag parties (men); romantic holidays in Italy (disastrous), weekends in Cornwall (even worse); first babies, first weddings, first funeral and a humiliating lost catch.
well, i started reading this novel back in August/October, taking it so slowly as noted it felt more than just a novel, it felt like bumping into a friend from day to day and having a small calm chatter with him, i think this one made me understand how books can be friends, well I'll miss you beautiful Flin, Energetic J, and well yea you old man you know it better : )
I enjoyed this novel about three friends in their twenties, Fin, Geordie and Jessica, sharing a flat and the pact they made but must say things have certainly changed since my twenties!
