Carolyn McCray is The Master of the insane, maniacal and macabre. All the stories I've read by her are hard to put down, twisted and mortifying. Prepare to be shocked, awed and disgusted! It's deliciously morbid!
McCray and Hopkins truly did an excellent job pulling me into the book and holding me captive through the last sentence!
An awesomely twisted, nonstop action, crime thriller - page turner! I can not get enough of this deliciously wicked, maniacal, dysfunctionally-comical and hard to put down series.
The protagonists in this series make a dynamic duo - the odd couple; Darcmel 'Darc'; a savant detective with Asperger's (high functioning autistic) and lack of social skills; and Trey; his comic relief sidekick/partner, whose main job is to keep Darc out of trouble.
In between macabre tableaux and psychotic-murderous madmen, with dark, dysfunctional-malevolent delusions/desires are the witty banters and comical outbursts between the characters, that makes this read even more relateable, exciting and enjoyable.
On to the next in series!
McCray & Hopkins, Please, please hurry with the next installment of this series, I need more Darc! ;-)

A nice short story concluding the Darc collection. It made me long for 2014 when 3rd Body will be on sale. I can`t wait!!!
