Fun Book for Kids

This book was about a cute little girl named Nancy Do who has a hard time getting anyone to play with her. So instead she focuses on finding fun ways to use her imagination to create her own fun things to do. Overall it’s a good message for kids about dealing with feelings of rejection and staying positive in life and not letting others ruin your day or life. In the end she has a choice to make when another girl asks to play and instead of treating her the way that Nancy herself was treated by the mean kids, Nancy makes the right decision and decides to make someone else feel welcome to play. I thought it had a great theme teaching lessons about kindness and dealing with hurt feelings.

Rhyme and Reason

I thought this was a cute book, with great colorful illustrations. It reminded me of the books by Dr Seuss that rhyme and have a moral. I thought the author did a nice job on helping the reader to understand the feelings that were being felt by the main character Nancy Do. But with a positive attitude she was able to deal with a bit of rejection, but in the end her positive attitude led to a great and special friendship! We need more of this attitude today. My grandchildren will enjoy this book. Nice job!

Wonderful Little Story

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book to my daughter, and she really enjoyed the Illustrations and the rhythm and rhymes. It carries such important messaging and gives subtle guidance for children who may not feel accepted by their peers. Sometimes you have to turn inside to find that inner strength and the confidence to carry on. And in the face of adversity, or negativity, we can remain compassionate to others. It has a happy ending after all. Very cute story and highly recommended.

cute, rhyming story great for younger kids’ self esteem

Can’t help but feel a bit bad that those kids wouldn’t play with Nancy Do (who’s a lot like you), but Nancy doesn’t! She’s busy as can be, famous and highly sought after, after all. Just focus on being the best you you can be, and maybe it won’t be the busy-bustling kids you see. But instead another friend will come along. And that friendship will be right and strong.

Nancy sprung like a trooper!

A gentle but purposeful reminder to children that some kids (and people) are not open to strangers. Cliques are everywhere with unnecessary stereotyping. If kids can spring back with their self-confidence that they are special no matter how people treat them, someday the right person will come along that realizes it. Nancy Do did just that.

Beautiful story, illustrations, rhymes and moral

If you are looking for a wonderful little book to help teach your child how to treat others the same they would like to be treated themselves, while at the same time encouraging them to think positive and not let the bad things get to them, this is that book.

Childhood truths…

What a great book. It reminds me of the reality that children face when trying to befriend their peers. Not all children are friendly and may not allow others to join in their “group.” The important thing is to continue to be kind and a fun spirited individual, and others like you will come along who will be also be “true.”

Cute, helps children use imagine to have fun

You cannot help but feel sorry for poor little Nancy Do. Each time she wants to play with new friends they must leave. Undeterred, she amuses herself in her imagination until the next attempt at play. Eventually her persistence pays off and she learns a lesson in friendship.

Timeless message

My girls and I enjoyed this book. The message is genuine and Nancy Do is very endearing. A lot of the rhyming was overly clunky, but the book still did a decent job with flow and readability.
