Catherine Ponder informs us of the basic principles of prosperity work - the necessity of tithing, the practice of releasing worries and negative thoughts in general, talking positively in daily life, declaring affirmations and having the attitude "nothing but the best", among other things.

Once again, kudos to Catherine Ponder who weaves her New Thought beliefs into realistic goals. She is one of the most positive teachers around, and although her methods are now familiar to me, the reminders never get old!

I have read all of Dr. Catherine Ponder's books at least once, each. I have lost count of how many times I have read this particular book of hers, but if I had to give you a number, I would say I have currently read it five times, which means, I AM currently rereading it for a sixth time.
In her own words, Dr. Ponder has referred to this book as the sequel to the sequel of "The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity." Its sequel is "Open Your Mind to Receive," and the sequel to that book is "Open Your Mind to Prosperity."
What I love most about this book, aside from the fact that it was written by Dr. Ponder, is that each chapter has a chapter review, and the amazing Spiritual Decrees.
Incidentally, I AM a Happily-Recovered-Catholic and a Moon Magick Witch, so do not let the Biblical verses get in the way of you learning how to increase your Prosperity Consciousness.

All of my first year New Thought students are recommended to read this text before the semester begins.
Catherine Ponder is among the best New Thought teachers of the "old school", which gave birth to the modern generation of teachers, including Dr. Louise l. Hay, Dr. Kennedy Shultz and Marianne Williamson.

This was shorter and more concise than some of the other Ponder books I’ve read. So far, this one is my favorites. Once you get past the more “old fashioned” language, she really is one of the best metaphysical authors. She offers very practical and concrete ways to get results. But you have to put it into practice, not just read the book, to prove her methods work.

I can not put this book back on the shelf. I keep it out for reference when writing down my goals. It has helped me tremendously. It will stay with my notebook until I find a worthy replacement. Read it!

I recommend or just buy this book for anyone I meet who expresses the desire for more abundance in their lives. Even the energy of this book, just having it around brings money and other tangible blessings!

Nice book. I liked to hear her perspective on having an open mind and receiving. It has been very helpful to shift my focus for the past few mornings. I’ve been using the affirmations in this book too and plan to use them consistently on a daily basis. I will read this book again for sure.

Catherine Ponder changed my life when I read her Dynamic Laws of Prosperity. This book is a shorter version of it and a wonderful refresher to understanding the power that dwells within us.

Catherine Ponder’s Open Your Mind to Prosperity isn’t just another self-help book—it’s a blueprint for lasting abundance that remains strikingly relevant today. More than a collection of prosperity affirmations, it offers a methodical, mindset-driven approach to unlocking success in every area of life.
The Big Idea:
Prosperity begins in the mind before it manifests in the world. It’s not just about financial gain—it encompasses health, relationships, and fulfillment. Much like the ancient Stoics, Ponder underscores a profound truth: our thoughts shape our reality. Before abundance can appear externally, it must first take root internally.
Why It Matters:
In a world obsessed with quick fixes, Ponder offers something far more sustainable—a mental framework that fosters long-term, holistic prosperity.
Standout Insights:
Release to Receive: Let go of thoughts, habits, and attachments that no longer serve you to create space for what you desire.
Prosperity is a State of Being: True wealth extends beyond money—it’s a way of thinking and living.
The Master Plan: A structured blend of goal-setting and spiritual receptivity leads to real, sustainable results.
What Sets It Apart:
Ponder grounds her philosophy in real-world application, sharing stories of individuals who transformed their lives—whether through financial breakthroughs, career success, improved health, or renewed relationships. Her teachings aren’t abstract theories; they’re proven principles in action.
The Bottom Line:
Though written decades ago, Open Your Mind to Prosperity remains a timeless, practical guide to abundance. Ponder challenges readers to redefine their relationship with prosperity at its true source—their own consciousness.
For those ready to move beyond temporary fixes to a mindset that attracts lasting success, this book offers both the roadmap and the compass.

I realized that one of the secrets to really having a successful life is to have an attitude of gratitude. This includes being thankful for perceived "bad" life experiences. One of my favortie affirmations is "I am a child of the living God, therefore I am one with his wisdom. That wisdom now leads me in paths of righteousness, peace and true success."
