“As I sit atop my steed, wondering where my life has gone. All I can remember is war, fighting, famine, and climbing the ranks! Nothing else. Regardless, what of that has fulfilled me? Or made me smile? None. A short and not so sweet an answer.
I am Asmon, the leader (not that it feels like that sometimes) of my no longer merry band of men. If the truth was told, the alpha head of this shattered unit. Yet, the world we knew disintegrated many years ago. Getting it back has been the longest, hardest fight, but now, we finally managed to install the young Lord back in his father’s seat - where he should be. Yet, ensuring he keeps it appears to have become the most difficult of all tasks.”
Loneliness was a word which men knew well. It ate into one’s very soul. Asmon, and Tave were well-versed in how it felt. Even for alpha’s life held little love. Apart from themselves and their country.
Until, a fractured veil let a single woman through. Why? Only the goddess knew. However, for now their task was ahead of them. Stop the war, find the usurper, stick his head on a pike. And tend to a hurt, weak and bewildered omega. No problem there.
In a world ravaged, by time and men omegas were extinct, and none expected to ever find one again. Never mind lose all sanity because one fell into their laps. Through war, grief and blood, what had the goddess planned for these fated mates? A steamy why chose, fated mates, dark fantasy romance. Where magic and curses exist.
Kia a young woman from a different world must learn a new life. The old one she had was one of pain and heartache. She left that world and fell in love with magic, and hope.
She met Tave and Asmon two brutal-looking men that could easily melt your heart and make all your desires come true.
The three of them have swift and hard adventures to find a way to arrest the villain of this story, Taxeon. He was a sharp and cunning man. NOT easy to find.
But they did. Their victory was short-lived. But all that changed.
This story was one of heartbreak, heartache, and one I recommend to all. I will give a 4 spicy rating. It was pretty hot. With Josephine's unique writing skills, I find myself wanting to read more. Thanks again for the chance to allow me to read your books!!
This is the first book in the Omegaverse genre written by Josephine Wrightson (one of my favorite authors). I am thrilled and can only say congrats and WOW. While reading the book, I literally fell into the action of the plot due to the detailed and imaginative description of her book world and the in-depth characterization of her characters. The book wraps a captivating story around 2 Alphas Asmon and Tave who must learn to share, care for and protect a rare Omega Kia. Spicy and hot, but also dark scenes complete the plot. There is the heat of the Omega and knots of the Alphas. 🔥🥵 The book is rounded off by the evil antagonist Taxeon, which adds to the suspense of the book. I can recommend this book to every reader. Buy the book and experience the book of this great author ... You will be thrilled.
I loved this book! Josephine has come a long way as an author, her writing style hasn’t changed, she has grown into it. It reads smoothly and flows off the pages. The story line itself is fresh and interesting. The characters well thought out, there is strong, compelling narrative and chemistry between the main 3 characters. This is the shortest book the author has written, and each and every word has been used to its full potential without over explaining or drawing out a scene. I admit to many a tear towards the ending, which î wasn’t expecting in the least, but I was given a beautiful happy ever after.
A love story unlike you have ever read. It will take you to a realm filled with danger and death., Fighting and wars. but through it all the love of two Alpha's and one Omega will survive it all. what is so great about this story? It's one you won't want to put down. It will make you laugh, and it will make you cry. But most of all it will make you want more of Josephine Wrightson. New and exciting, grab your copy now.
Kia, Tave, and Asmon are searching for the proverbial light in a world fraught with war, chaos, deception and destruction. A tale of choices. The characters are beautifully written and the secondary ones are, as well! Together and separately they fight the evil and mayhem that challenges their courage and fortitude. Heart wrenching and each page pulls at your emotions. Visceral and disturbing, at times, it begs the question who will be victorious both in love and the ultimate victor in this war? There is no doubt that Wrightson has created a very profound story with immersive characters and plot! Can love conquer all? Can one woman choose one man though she loves both? No spoilers here. For lovers of thrilling, page turning adventures, and captivating characters, Roles to Hell will, most certainly, satisfy.
This book is the story of two Alpha males, Asmon and Tave, and an Omega female, Kia, who both Alphas are drawn to. Asmon and Tave are traveling with several others in a war-torn world when they rescue Kia, an Omega from another world. The two alphas care for her and both fall in love with her. They agree to take turns watching over her as they travel to see their young Lord. How they work out their mutual love for Kia and engage in fighting along the way makes for a fast and interesting read. I loved their story. I was gifted an advance copy of this book in return for an honest review.
I was totally engaged by the new world Josephine Wrightson created. A land ravaged by war but determined to forge ahead. The characters were strong and brought out the best in each other. Even her secondary characters come vividly to life. I could visualize the soon to be Queen, frightening, and kinky with her pink hair. In this novel Josephine Wrightson asks the big question. Can a woman love two men at the same time? You will have to read this amazing book to find out!
A very good Fantasy novel. In a world torn by war, Tave and Asmon come across Kia, the Omega, forming a love triangle that is primary to the plot. Beset on all sides by adversaries, the two Alphas need to keep her from their own enemies whilst fulfilling their own destinies. Great worldbuilding, proper evil villains and some fairly graphic scenes. All in all, a real page turner. Good job, the author.
I have read two other books by Josephine Wrightson. I was instantly drawn back into her fantasy world with this third one. A strange, but very enticing romantic triangle develops when an Omega female appears. The two Alpha males are drawn to her as she is to both of them. She has to depend on them to survive and their love grows stronger. A surprise ending is the cherry on top. I would recommend Roles to Hell if you want an exciting "page turner" escape
I was captivated by Josephine Wrightson's new world. It's a land torn apart by war but determined to rebuild. The characters are strong and inspiring. Even the secondary characters feel real. I could easily picture the soon-to-be queen—she's intimidating and unconventional with her pink hair. Wrightson raises a profound question: can a woman love two men at the same time? Read this incredible book to find out!
Despite some grammar issues, change of tenses and a great deal of head-hopping, it’s a good read. We follow our two Alpha characters, Tave and Asmon, on their journey to find Taxeon their enemy when they fall upon Kia, our Omega lady—and that’s when the problems start! What do you do when both men are in love with the same woman? Eager to know? Read the book, and you’ll have your answer…
In a new world full of uncertainty, we find love from two Alpha's. But with love comes heartache. Josephine writes her Characters, scenes, and builds worlds so well you can't help but feel every emotion written on page. She doesn't use page fillers irelevent to the story. You are truly absorbed by every word xxx
This was an amazing book! It was my first book by this author but it definitely won’t be the last! I really enjoyed the characters and the plot. The relationship and finding out if one omega can love two alphas at the same time. It was phenomenal! Highly recommend and I will definitely be reading more from this author!
This is the first Josephine Wrightson novel I have read and I am not disappointed! I loved the storyline and the characters. The characters felt real, no unnecessary drama or conflict between them. I will definitely read more of Josephine's work.
Bit of a slow starter but as you read it you get pulled in and you just keep reading love the epilogue at the end glad this was thier because I wouldn't of been happy with the ending if I didnt see the future of what they aftermath had created ❤️
This fantasy romance will have you stopping whatever you are doing to keep going down the dark path to see where it will take you. Once I started , I wanted more. Asmon and Tave are alphas that have found an Omega female, and she is in pretty bad shape. They nurse her back to health, but the whole time they do not know which Alpha she will choose. The Alphas are looking for a bad guy, so they can stop him from taking over the kingdom, but they have to keep Kia safe at the same time. The romance scenes will knock your socks off. On the heat scale, I will give it an 11. I highly recommend this book with 5 stars.
This is my first book by Josephine Wrightson. Its been a while since I've read a full high fantasy romance so took a while to get into it but then I had to find out more. It is very slow burn omegaverse and also a portal fantasy. It's why choose but at first Asmon and Tave have a problem with sharing and struggle to control their jealousy. FMC Kia finds herself in a whole new world and a whole new world of trouble. Love the writing style and character development thank you for the chance to read
Asmon and Tave. Brothers in arms. Leaders of the force sent by the new ruler, Lord Divad, to seek out and destroy Taxeon, the pretender--yet instead they find the wounded Kia.
Asmon and Tave. Rivals in love--their particular version of it. Both Alphas, it seems that one must become Beta in the triangle formed with this scion of the Omegas, that strain of women from beyond the veil, supposed extinct, yet extant in the person of this girl whom both are drawn to tend and protect.
Their story is a take on a classic love-triangle, played out against the background of war. The manner of its telling could do with a good edit, as the frequent use of unattached phrases--for want of a better technical term--didn't quite work. Otherwise it's fine.
