Do you want your kids to learn about man’s first trip to the moon in a way that’s fun for your children? The fourteenth volume in the Geronimo Stilton Graphic Novel series explore this event in history nearly fifty one years ago. The main character is a mouse name Geronimo Stilton and he is a news reporter who while being in a circus was secretly summoned by Professor Von Volt to go back in time through a time machine to stop the Pirate Cats from changing history. This time the adventure takes them to 1969 to stop the Pirate Cats from being the first to land on the moon. Stilton and his friends and family must take risks to stop them! How would they save the day? The book has its twists and turn! I give this a four out of five.
‘The First Mouse on the Moon’ is a book whose primary theme was derived from mankind’s first adventure to Moon. It does have some twist and turn by introducing the classic protagonist in the comic. Integrated with highly engaging illustration and dialogues, the book provides new outlook into mankind’s greatest achievement.
The book also offers a fresh and creative interpretation of one of humanity’s most remarkable achievements. The book is not a realistic depiction of the moon landing, but rather a creative and imaginative interpretation of it. Although some parts of the plot are vague or unrealistic, the book is overall a good read.
Lured with free circus tickets Geronimo Stilton ends up in the lab preparing to go to the moon at the same time the actual first moon landing of Apollo 11 takes place. Apparently the Pirate Cats are planning something on the dark side of the moon so Geronimo must go see what they're up to. Through rigorous training Geronimo and Trap pass the tests and head to the moon. A cute story without much drama. The correlation to the Apollo mission is a learning tool for young readers.
This is my first Geronimo stilton book and I found myself presently surprised! The illustrations were fun and so was the story. There were facts as well as fun characters. Overall a good read!
Ця книга про родину мишей які живуть в Мишанії.Вони літають на машині часу відомого професора Вольта.Сьогодні вони летітимуть 1969 рік в Амереку.Мені книга сподобалась.
The First Mouse on the Moon is a really fun graphic novel! There's good humor in the story along with intriguing dilemmas. The drawings are great with bright colors and it's like watching a cool, fun cartoon. I love that kind of thing. :D
I really enjoyed reading about the main characters Geronimo Stilton, his sister Thea, cousin Trap, nephew Benjamin, and Benjamin's friend Bugsy Wugsy and their adventure. The plays on words in the story were fun. When I read New Mouse City, I thought New York City, of course, with Mouse Island being Long Island.
I learned some stuff, too. This was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than any stuffy lesson in class ever about moon travel, etc.
I received an advanced review copy (arc) of this title from Papercutz. Thanks! :) To see my entire review on my blog and sample pages sent from Papercutz check out http://hardyanddrewmysteries.wordpres...
This is the best of all the Geronimo's.... or least for my youngest grandson it was. I prefer the fantasy novel series, so much to look at. But for my grandson the action packed graphics is way cooler! Where ever you are headed this summer, add either form of Geronimo to your bag and you will have an adventurous summer filled with outstanding discussion points of interest.... Amusing tale about Geronimo and his mouse family taking a trip back in time to July 16, 1969, right before the first moon landing. The cat pirates have a plan in the works to sabotage the mission and it is up to Geronimo and Trap to go to the Moon and stop them. Cute!
