The Will Trent books are easily some of my favourite crime reads. Slaughter creates a gripping story every time, with the books getting stronger as you move through the series (I admit, in the first book I wasn’t overly bothered by Will Trent but he grew on me and in no time at all he had earned a spot as one of my favourite fictional police officers).

Each story is wonderful, and I believe every crime fan should pick up the Will Trent books.

I enjoyed listening to this series. Good detective series that leaves you rooting for the socially inept lead detective, Will Trent, of the GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigation). Good plot that focuses half on Trent's personal relationships and half on the crimes he is investigating. I like Tess Gerritsen's series better, but this is a good second.
