Vail Fillion has left her home in Huntington Beach, California, to study Scandinavian Culture in Oslo, Norway. But she gets her first real taste of culture shock when she goes along with her friend Lisetta to a wild party at her cousin’s biker bar. Vail is surprised to find such a large group of motorcycle enthusiasts in this often snow-bound country. She is even more stunned to discover that the bikers are normal guys, if perhaps even more physically imposing than your average Viking. Alreck Falstad—a 6’6” blond, tattooed stand-in for a Norse god—catches her eye but also scares her to death. Just as Vail is starting to enjoy herself at the party, something truly frightening occurs. The evening is abruptly cut short by a brutal crime, and she is the lone witness. Before she can make it to the cops, Vail is drugged, loaded into Alreck’s truck, and transported to his remote cabin in the Lofoten Islands. Why has Alreck kidnapped her, and what are his plans with her in his snowy haven? Is he her savior, her nemesis, or both? Even if she could escape, would she truly want to?

About 2.5-3 stars

This book had a really nice setting - Norway and part of the story is set in a cabin way up north with the Northern Lights dancing around - which would be awesome to see. The other positive parts of the story were a pretty hot hero who was tall, blonde and sexy but I really didn't feel like I got to know him.

Now for the bad - mainly the heroine was just TSTL. She just was not smart at all. She kept trying to escape him for no reason and almost died once when she skied off into the wilderness in the freezing cold without knowing where she was going. Just completely stupid. The book is also told in first person from her POV so we are treated to her random thoughts about how fantastic!!! things are constantly.

The writing was pretty mediocre. The heroine's thoughts were all over the place, she would be thinking (once again) about needing to escape but then would get lost thinking about how hot the hero was. The biker plot didn't really ring true, while I like the idea of Norwegian bikers we really didn't get to see the biker culture because they spent most of the book in his cabin. The whole plot point of kidnapping her because she was a witness to a murder and then not telling her anything "because they didn't want to upset her more" was completely dumb. She asks repeatedly for information (before making another dumb escape attempt) and he won't tell her when he could easily have told her basic facts like hey you silly girl I am trying to save your life. I understood her trying to escape at first because she thought he might try to kill her but after it became very obvious he was not going to harm her in any way, it just didn't make sense for her to run off into a more dangerous situation for no reason.

The writing was kind of strange in that it tried to be too light hearted for the serious plot. The dialogue was not done very well either, it came off as kind of cheesy and unrealistic.

So overall - cool idea with the Norwegian bikers, not so great execution

Ok, so this book really took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting such serious emotional depth. The title being "Naughty" led me to believe it might be an easy erotic read. Well erotic yes...but easy no! The erotic actually was mostly anticipation and sexual tension as high as Mount Everest. Vail (very intriguing name by the way) and Alreck just oozed with chemistry. I at one point wanted to scream..JUST DO IT ALREADY!!! Ok more than once actually!
But seriously this love story grew and grew and the emotions that Alreck showed Vail when she needed him just melted my heart.
Then ..his Dom cam out to play..yea..Alreck has a Dominant side that is so freaking sexy. Vail loved it and wanted more.

So did I ..but unfortunately the story had to move on.
Filled with suspense and passion I loved every moment and hated to see it end. I hope the next installment will let us peek into what happens with them and their future. I just loved that sexy Viking and want more of him!
Christine Edwards..you have a new fan!

Synopsis:

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book - it's by a newer author, and I wasn't loving the title - but I thought I'd give it a shot.  The book was done totally in Vail's POV - which helped with keeping you intrigued and curious about Alreck.  The image in your mind alone of Alreck had me all hot and bothered, but how he handled Vail was what clinched his status to another perfect book boyfriend.  Vail didn't make it easy for him, even if she was secretly lusting after him.  She gave him a run for his money as she kept trying to find a way home.

I loved the quick pace of the book and how the story flowed, keeping me interested the whole way through.  If you love sexy Alpha males who are bad boys and belong to an MC then I think that you'll enjoy this book.  It may have you booking a trip to Norway in the near future!

'Naughty in Norway ' by Christine Edwards is book one in the "Nordic Lights" series. Is the story of Vail Fillion and Alreck Falstad.

This is a very hot book and with a good story. Loved it!
Vail has just moved to Oslo, Norway and she find things are really different than what she is used to in California. Vail is attending a party with her friend at a motorcycle bar when she meets Alreck. Vail is attracted to Alreck but at the same time his size and looks makes Vail somewhat scared of him.
While at the bar that night Vail is a witness to a brutal crime. This leads for Alreck's to take action toward her. Vail now finds herself held at Alreck's cabin. Will she be safe?

This is a 2.5 star for me. It's a bit more than okay but not exactly enjoyable for me. The premise of the story is a bit of a stretch, but it does go with this series and that's fine. There are two things which bothered me about this story: contrived plot device and annoying characters.

In order for this story to work, there had to be immense miscommunication. This is not one of the plot devices I like. If Alreck just explained it to Vail, this story would not exist. So it is a mix for me. From a character perspective, Vail is a bit annoying for me. She's not the type of female I enjoy reading about because of her lack of maturity at times. And her inability to discuss with with Alreck frustrated me to no end. Alreck is an okay character. He's the stoic, sexy dangerous man.

The sexual tension between the Alreck and Vail was fine. The kinky parts are a nice slightly dark erotica with dub con. Overall the story is a fast and easy read. Those who enjoy capture and kidnapping stories, this is the one for you.

While visiting a biker bar in Oslo, Vail witnesses a crime. From there, her evening only gets worse when she is kidanpped by Alreck, a man more physically imposing than a Norse Viking.

These two events start Naughty in Norway and from here, we are treated to what happens between two disparate people, each with their own agenda.

Alreck's imposing stature and and off-putting demeanor doesn't allow Vail to get the answers she desperately wants and she also doesn't know whether he is helping her or one of criminals.

Christine Edwards setup throws these two together in Alreck's small, remote cabin in the Lofoten islands. During their many confrontations, these two slowly come together, but it's all uphill.

Naughty in Norway is a well written phycological adventure, but with enough spice to keep the two protagonists interested in in each other. Ms. Edwards ratchets the sexual tension through most every page until you know there has to be an explosion.

Spending a term in Norway, Vail finds herself invited to a biker club party. Alreck catches her eye, but not in a good way. After she goes outside for some air, Vail witnesses something and then finds herself being dragged across Norway into hiding. Alreck is her jailor. She fights him all the way, until she nearly dies. Just when they are getting on, they find her.

A much better read than Claimed in Canada. It flowed better, made more sense, had a better storyline and characters. Never gonna win any literary prizes, but a nice easy read to pass an hour or so, cos that's all it took for me to read. The end was very similar to Canada, with the characters facing a long separation followed by sudden reappearance. And in Canada we heard from main characters, here, only Vail.

One thing though, "ungh" author uses it often, in both books. Please stop.

Vail Fillion has left California to study Scandinavian Culture in Oslo, Norway. Living with her friend Lisetta has been fun for Vail. Always doing stuff together, Lisetta invites her to her cousin’s biker bar for a party. Vail being nervous is convinced to go.

“Come on, Vail, it’s Saturday night and I thought you Americans had a terrific sense of adventure.”

The party turns out to be very interesting for Vail, she learns that scary bikers are not all that bad and cannot take her eyes off the one man that she has been warned to stay away from. Deciding she needs some space and fresh air she goes out into the very chilling weather and becomes a witness to a murder of one of the club members.

Lisetta has to keep Vail from going to the cops and giving a statement on Mikkel’s orders. Once Mikkel shows up to talk to Vail, and she notices a couple of the members there including the very hot Alreck, she knows this is not going to be good.

“Bail now, Vail! Very bad idea!”

Mikkel gives Alreck an order to take Vail away and keep her safe. While Lisetta packs her stuff, and Vail decides she wants no part of this, Alreck must knock her out with some ether just to get her in the truck to get her somewhere safe.

Vail is unsure if Aleck is trying to kill her or protect her knowing he was released from jail only six weeks ago. The only thing on Vail’s mind is escaping this man that scares and excites her. After multiple attempts of trying to escape she realizes she is never going to escape this man or the feelings she is feeling for him.

“Why do you have to be so fucking beautiful? Why, Vail, tell me? I live my life by complete control and rigid rules, yet with you its all fucking chaos. Do you know that, woman? Do you have any idea what you do to me?” His eyes are pained and questioning.”

This is turning out to be one of my favorite series. I love all of the characters and having the suspense in this book just adds to the excitement while reading. The intensity and passion that comes from Alreck and Vail is so entertaining. After reading this book be sure to read Nordic Lessons for a very enjoyable read.

My Favorite Moment: I absolutely love every time that Vail tries to escape this man. My all time favorite was when she takes his truck and honestly believes that she can finally be free.

“Easy, easy, not too forceful, he can’t catch you now. You’re the one with the vehicle!”

My Heartfelt Moment: My heartfelt moment is also when Vail tries to escape her “kidnapper” and is stuck out in the freezing cold with no help in sight.

WOW, WOW, I just finish reading this book and I LOVE IT, O.M.G. I did not wanted to finish it, I felt in love with this book from the first page to the last. This book had me laughing in some part, and had me crying like a baby in other part, I love the characters and love how the book turn out to be. I have to say that this is the first book that I read by this Author, and I am so glad I got to read it, I love it I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.

This story begging with Vail, Vail left her home from Huntington Beach, California, after talking to her friend Lisetta, she convince her travel over there to study Scandinavian Culture in Oslo, Norway. Vail agree to it, now she's in Oslo in a car with her friend/roommate Lisetta, their on the way to a party, not just any party is Lisetta cousin Mikkel, his the president of their MC, once Vail find out about what the party really is she is not comfortable about going, once they get their Lisetta promise her that they stay for a little while and than leave. After she introduce her to her cousin they seating down by the bar, that's when she notice the HOT, SEXY, HUNK, Blond tattooed 6'6" that is name Alreck, after Mikkel give them the tour he introduce her to him, Vail is having feelings that she not describe, she is intimidate and excite at the same time, when she Is getting more comfortable at the party, she needed some air what she did not expected was to become the witness of a murder, that was the night that change her life.

While studying abroad in Norway for a semester, Vail witnesses a murder. Alreck whisks her away, without her consent, and takes her to his cabin in Northern Norway. She’s strangely attracted to him even though he holds her against her will. He’s mysterious, he dangerous, and he’s HOT!

Vail has no clue why Alreck has kidnapped her. He won’t tell her. He just keeps her captive. Vail tries to escape. It almost takes her life when she fails. After Alreck catches her, he saves her life and keeps her captive.

I enjoyed this story immensely. Christine Edwards writes characters you love. You may want to smack them sometimes for doing stupid stuff, but you still love them. I mean afterall, we all want to smack the ones we love from time to time!

Vail frustrated me a bit. I figured out early on why Alreck took her. I couldn’t see why she didn’t figure it out. But then, I’ve never been in her situation, so I may not have figured it out either. It’s easier when you’re on the outside looking in.

Alreck is the original bad boy. He’s hot, mysterious and while he gives off the bad boy vibe, he’s really quite nice. Just don’t tell him I said so! Alreck would do anything for Vail and he does!

One of the things I really liked about this story was the HEA. It wasn’t an automatic HEA. There was some time and space between Vail and Alreck before they got their HEA. I also like that Vail wasn’t the one that had to give things up to get Alreck. He came after her. A bad boy knight in tarnished armor!

I’m really liking this series. I’m actually not sure it is a series, but it seems like it. None of the stories are related to each other. They just have a central theme running through them! Christine Edwars has managed to make kidnapping HOT!

At the urging of her Scandinavian friend from UC, Vail Fillion is doing a semester abroad in Oslo in her graduate studies. She is petite and boasts an athletic figure thanks to her passion for surfing when at home in California. With a few secrets in her past, she may not be all that she seems.

Alreck Falstad is supreme alpha maleness. He’s tall, large, and handsome. Think Nordic god who likes to grunt. Let’s face it, sometimes the lack of speech is way hotter than constant chit chat. He’s a not just a biker, but builds them too. The big guy also has a bit of a soft and overprotective side.

Everything starts with the night Vail and Lisetta go to a party at a biker club. First she meets fails into lust at first sight with a dangerous Alreck. Then she witnesses a brutal crime when just went outside to get some fresh air. So much for clearing her head. At the will of Lisetta she puts off going to the police to report the offense. When she puts her foot down and proclaims she will head to the authorities regardless of what the bikers want, she finds herself being kidnapped.

I enjoyed this one but it, in some ways, is quite a bit different from Claimed in Canada. Its action packed from the beginning to the end. If you’re looking only for heat, you should note that this story doesn’t bring any physical relations until the last quarter. That doesn’t mean that there isn’t innuendo or chemistry being developed. Vail comes across as being wound a bit tight; perhaps a little nookie earlier would have helped with that issue. Alreck really emerges as being thoughtful and hunky. Even while at times wanting to throttle Vail, I still found this to be entertaining read.

This is a short romance novel, but it has a lot going for it. I loved the premise and the setting. Though I’ve never been to Norway myself, the author did an excellent job of making me feel like I was right there. The description was detailed but not too heavy-handed. I also thought the pacing was excellent. There were no dull moments and it always seemed to be intense.

Vail took a little bit of getting used to because she’s a bit high strung, but I grew to like her towards the end. Alreck was definitely dark and broody- just the way I like heroes to be. As it turns out, though, there is a lot more to him than meets the eye. He might seem a little too dominating at first, but as the story continues it’s clear that he isn’t as bad as he seems. In fact, I really enjoyed his character. Definitely the hot, sexy, protective alpha type!

Things move quickly in this novel as far as the action goes, but I appreciated that the reader is given a chance to get to know the characters before things get too steamy. By the time Vail and Alreck do give in to their attraction if feels natural. I absolutely loved how the romance played out and honestly wanted more by the end (though it finished great). My only complaint with this book would be the dialog. There were times it didn’t feel natural and even a little too formal. Other than that, though, I was one happy reader and would definitely recommend this to others.

Naughty in Norway by Christine Edwards
4 1/2 stars

Vail has moved to Oslo, Norway to spend the semester with her friend Lisetta. Lisetta decides to take Vail to a party being thrown by her cousin Mikkel. Vail is surprised to find out the party is actually a biker party. Being a bit overwhelmed by the party and in particular Alreck, one of the bikers, Vail steps outside for some fresh air. She witnesses an horrific crime and is suddenly in danger herself. Alreck whisks Vail away to his cabin to protect her as she is the only witness to the crime. While she tries to escape multiple times Vail also finds herself developing strong feelings for Alreck. Alreck finally lets down his guard and the heat between the two keeps them warm. The bad guys catch up with Alreck and Vail and disturb their new found joy. Alreck is determined to protect Vail even if it means letting her go.

Alreck takes a very long time to tell Vail why he has her at his cabin. She is not presented as a fragile woman. She would be able to handle the truth sooner. I do like the fact Alreck and Vail get to know each other and don't just fall in bed together.

I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who likes a little biker adventure with their romance. I would read this author again.

Vail is visiting Lisetta in Oslo, Norway.

they stroll into her cousin's biker party.
Lisetta is there to see Bern, someone she is interested in
and Vail eyes Alreck, who is 6'6"..long blond hair.

Vail goes outside to get some air and talks to Ragnar who is on
the phone with his girlfriend..soon after there is a noise in the air and Ragnar slumps over..he's been shot!! Vail turns to run back inside
and is shot at.
Next Morning, she is hauled off by Alreck to go in hiding in case the killers come to find her, as she is a witness to the murder.
12 hrs later the two arrive at his rorbu in Lofoten.
Vail has tried to escape numerous times, not wanting to be there with him and she hasn't been told why she has to leave, so she thinks shes been kidnapped.
There is a plot to this book, its a romance..and slowly but surely the
sex/love comes for these 2.
Vail leaves to go back to America, she's now safe and her heart is with
Alreck. She gets back to her normal life and months later while surfing
in the Pacific ocean, she spots a motorcycle on the dock!!!
It's Alreck..kissy kissy sexy sexy..Boom

This was a very different story from what I imagined it would be from the title alone. But it was good in a way that I loved, so I'm not complaining. I didn't expect to be reading about bikers in Oslo, but they are all over, and that's the beauty of a biker. You never know when or where they're going to show up, and life is never dull around them. It all starts with a party that goes terribly, horrribly wrong. Vail witnesses something she never should have and then is sent off against her will. Alreck takes Vail to his hunting cabin far away from Oslo for her protection. But he doesn't tell her that. This leads to all sorts of harsh words, failed escape attempts and more. Once Vail finds out the truth of why Alreck had to take her away, things have gotten out of hand - emotionally - for both of them. All too quickly things happen and once again, Vail is sent off and doesn't know what is happening. I've got to hand it to Christine, this was a great read for an afternoon that was delightful. The characters are smolderingly sexy, intimidating, fiesty, fun and a bit dangerous; loved that. I can't wait to read what's next in this series.

I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

This is the second book I've read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised to be contacted to try her books again. Vail and Lisetta set out in the beginning it seems to go clubbing. Only Lisetta let's on that they are really stopping at her cousins biker party, so Lisetta can pick up flirting with a guy she met earlier. Now Vail puts up an earnest fight that she doesn't want to go but ends up giving in to Lisetta. At the party Vail meets some of the bikers, she mainly has her eye on a guy named Alreck. He is huge and looks cruel. I've always liked that type myself! Vail steps outside to get some air and witnesses a cold blooded murder. Barely escaping death herself, the bikers get Vail out of the way by kidnapping her. Alreck takes her to an island hours away and the rest of the book goes through how they keep her safe. I wished the author would have kept Alreck to the cruel side, and the book smacks of dominance. Vail seemed to really respond to him and the chemistry was great. Thanks again for a great read.

This is the second book I have read by Christine Edwards and a big thank you to her for providing me with an ARC.

3.5 stars

I really enjoyed the first third of this book when there were more secondary characters involved and I would have loved to have had the H and h have more interaction with them for the remainder of the book instead of being isolated away from civilization.

Vail, the heroine, was in my eyes on times TSTL but the hero Alreck, was all things I look for in my hero, strong, protective and hot!

Although I haven't rated this book as high as 'Claimed In Canada' it doesn't detract from the fact that Christine knows how to write an alpha male hero. I am looking forward to reading more of her work in the future.

I loved this one! I think for those who enjoy an erotic book with some MC characters grab this one. The main character Vail goes with her friend Lisetta to learn and explore Norway. It is different because I never read of a student wanting to go to Norway. Very unique in my opinion. So Lisetta drags her to the MC club to meet her cousin Mikkel. This introduces Vail to a group she is afraid of and equally intrigued by. She locks eyes with Alreck and is told not to bother he just got out of jail and is dangerous. Well they are thrown together tight away. It is hotter than HOT. He kidnaps her and the story takes a lot of twists and turns. It is one for the steamy hot fans for sure! I totally love this author!

Hmmmmmmm..... So, Naughty in Norway. I have to say i was surprised as it was not your typical BDSM or Biker story.

Vail went to Oslo for a semester with her friend who she met at college. They story starts where herself and her friend are invited to her cousins biker clubhouse for a party. While there Vail witnesses a crime and the next day is spirited away by a 6 feet 6 inch Viking!
As Alreck refuses to tell Vail why they are traveling so long and so far, so Vail decides he has kidnapped her.....
The story was different in my opinion as it wasn't page after page of sex scenes etc.... Now i wanna go see the Northern Lights!!!

California girl studying in Norway gets talked into attending a local MC’s party by her friend. She becomes the lone witness to a crime and is taken away and kept by a beast of a man for her safety. Sounds pretty run of the mill, doesn’t it? Well, you would be WRONG! I really enjoyed this book. It’s less than 200 pages, so not a long read, but Alreck and Vail have great chemistry and fun banter together. There’s no sex until 75% in, but the sexual tension and chemistry keep you turning your pages and squirming in your seat! And the ending clenched it all for me! From start to finish, this was a fun and sexy read.

Californian Vail is studying in Oslo when she finds herself in the middle of dangerous biker business. She was only going to the party to humor her friend Lisetta when she first catches the eye of a serious, yummy biker, and later becomes witness to a crime. Next thing she knows, she´s being transported out from Oslo, out in the wilderness of cold, wintry Norway, with no chance to go home. What is up with this Viking and why is she so drawn to him?
Badass bikers, smutty fluff and suspense in a nordic setting I feel at home with. =)

Christine has a sincere understanding of the colorful characters she gives life to, this is why her books are not long enough. We get to find a true escapism in the tasty, passionate, and slightly naughty lives the characters in christines books experience. Then...POOF... Back to our pedestrian lives! Thanks Christine?!?! Lol!
Thanks for your true depiction of a bikers lifestyle!

In NAUGHTY IN NORWAY, Christine Edwards delivers a suspenseful erotic romance with a fascinating look into contemporary Norwegian culture and history (think Vikings). The sexual tension between Alreck (Norwegian hunk/bad-ass biker) and Vail (Californian grad student studying abroad) IS delicious. A satisfying read!

Ohhhhh that was good, you think that this will be a typical MC book but you would be wrong. This book oozes sexual chemistry and tension. The anticipation is enough to keep you going right through till the end.

Could not put this book down...loved the strong willed female and the sexy hero.  The author's use of detail is amazing!  I will have to look up her other books!

I don't usually like MC books, but I really liked Alreck.

Vail is doing a semester abroad in Norway and witnesses a murder. Making things more complicated is that it happens at an MC party. She eventually finds herself kidnapped since she's a witness.

My issue with this book is that she kept trying to escape because she was stupid and couldn't catch on that MC's -- even in Norway -- don't go to the police.

I liked Alreck a lot and eventually Vail when she got over herself.
