An interesting story idea, but I'm not sure it was executed as well as it could have been. Basically woman gets some bad news then you have three different chapters of possible reactions. The transitions between them were abrupt and unexplained. Each possible reaction was written so that it felt immediate, but then it was over and the scenario started again. In the end I had no clue if she was daydreaming the different actions or they were parallel universes or what. A good edit could make this a passable story.

Nice idea but it was kind of confusing and too short for the concept - even for a short story.

I think the author is a good writer and has great story ideas (I read her trilogy also), but she really should take her time to flesh it out.
