The photos and info are interesting, but readers do not see the name of each animal until one-third into the book. This book also didn't specify that they would show apes and monkeys. Apes and monkeys are not in the same family. Since each photo only offers minimal information, students might enjoy looking through this book to find a monkey (or ape) to investigate for a report. Overall score = G+.
