Scarlett Young has big plans after graduation: college on the far side of the country and a new life that doesn’t include any traces of her old one. That is if she can just survive a summer in Lost Creek.
But when she uncovers something evil creeping along the edges of the community and its strange connection to nineteen-year-old Riley Shelton, surviving may be harder than she thought.
Danger continues to grow while Scarlett discovers the people of Lost Creek are not what they seem, including the handsome, mysterious Blake who lives next door. With his help, she may be able to expose the truth and prevent the wickedness in town from spreading. But if she's not careful, she may not be able to save anyone...including herself.
I absolutely loved this book! The story line was very new and exciting. I finished it within a day because I simply could not put it down! After moving to Lost Creek Scarlett finds that nothing in this little town is at all what it seems. This book provides everything a good book needs from an exciting plot, family conflict, a brewing romance, and of course the very disliked antagonist. My only disappointment is that I am now anxiously awaiting the next installment in 2014!
This is the first book in The Scarlett Series. Scarlett leaves her mothers house after her mothers boyfriend steals some of her money. She ends up in Lost Creek where her sister lives with her husband Mark. Scarlett isn't sure what is going in the town and everyone tells her to stay out of it. The book is very well written, twisting plot, mysteries circumstances surrounding the town, and easy to get into. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
The storyline for Saving Scarlett was new and different than anything I've read before. A new spin on good vs. evil, there were areas that left me confused, or like I missed something, but, otherwise, the book was very well written. The character of Scarlett is clearly portrayed, but I am still curious about what and who Blake really is. The story kept me engaged, was fast moving, and was never dry or dull. My biggest complaint, though, is the ending. What a cliffhanger!!! And where is the sequel to this book???
