Pray with Purpose, Live with Passion: How Praising God A to Z Will Transform Your Life

Rate this book
In this reflective guide, Debbie Williams walks you through the discipline and relationship of prayer—a new life of passion and purpose awaits you.

With an enthusiastic invitation to use her book as an interactive guide to deepen the reader's prayer, Debbie Williams sets out to redirect the focus from us to God, who is divine, and who can accomplish all things. Using the acronym PRAY for Praise, Repent, Ask, and Yield, she encourages a study of God's attributes with an A-Z exploration which ranges from Almighty to Zealous God. Each chapter reveals more of who God is and how He alone is capable to meet our every need as we recognize who He truly is.

Oh my goodness; where do I begin? This book is so inspiring and refreshing. I admit that I was reluctant to read a chapter a day, but every time I pulled it open I felt peace and happiness. God truly works through this book. I loved praying through God's names, and there is no doubt that even though I'm done reading it, I will still pray using the names of God.
I don't know if you want to read this book or not, but highly encourage you to do so. It really helps connect the reader of God. Even if you're not a Christian this is still a good read. It will show you the amazing God that we believe in, and it will inspire you to do more for Him.

I saw Debbie Williams at a prayer conference and her simple, practical, God-inspired prayer style is something that I found very valuable to add to my prayer life. I read a chapter a day and really found the stories and prayers very helpful and conversational. I loved the idea in the book of assigning God's character traits alphabetically, a mnemonic device, which is so helpful in remembering all that He is. The references are straight from the bible and even my kids (6 and 8) caught on to the concept and pray more specifically now!
