The Reunion

Rate this book
Dark and brooding, Adam Granger was always the bad boy out of reach—but now he’s in Sarah Atkinson’s bed, the morning after their twentieth high school reunion. When Adam beats a retreat to his Pacific Palisades estate, former good girl Sarah throws caution to the wind and pursues him. Petite copper-skinned Maria Ramirez greets Sarah at Adam’s front door. The former exotic dancer doesn’t challenge Sarah’s assumption she’s the maid—how long will it take the dark-haired beauty to figure out Maria is Adam’s live-in lover? Better yet, how long before Maria can entice her into their bed? Determined not to rock his hard-won lifestyle, Adam resolves to push Sarah past her sexual limits so she’ll leave. When she stays, he watches helplessly as the two women fall in love with each other. Will they shut him out? And, if they let him in, what must he sacrifice?

This book sizzled as two incredibly sexy women and one gorgeous guy form a super hot triad, eventually. One of the women will want something that could break up this trio. Nevertheless before that crisis hits the pages, we get to see the three of them, the two gals, and the guy and each gal in some amazingly hot clinches and we do learn about each of their lives outside of the bedroom or wherever before the predicament! These three are by far and away the best smoldering trio I have read about. Oh, bring on more of this, but read this one first!

Sarah Atkinson attends her first high school reunion after twenty years. She goes back to hated Bumper, Iowa from Chicago. Well, it is the twentieth. She not only bumps into bad boy Adam Granger, they have super hot sex that very night fulfilling a really long-held desire. She is twice divorced at this point and this is delightfully sweet after her celibate hiatus. So why does he skedaddle? Well, after returning to Chicago and a small delay, she traces him down and decides to properly finish off their reunion romp!

Adam Granger decides to attend his twentieth high school reunion because it is the twentieth! It certainly seemed like he completely enjoyed the mutual post-reunion coital collaboration. Why he apparently ran away from Sarah took some time to become understandable. However, Adam’s drives and motivations remain mysterious for quite some time. His success and wealth were much easier to grasp than his inner workings. It takes two family-type crises to get a clearer picture as to what drives Adam’s deep, internal emotions. His quirky and sometimes impulsive actions when it came to his love life kept me off balance and a bit annoyed at this grand hunk of manliness. I yelled at him more than once to "grow up!"

Maria Ramirez is the super delight of this trio. Initially, Sarah thinks she is a maid within Adam’s household and Maria strings Sarah along for a bit while at the same time becoming increasingly enamored with her. Getting to know Maria’s background, current relationship with Adam, and new attraction to Sarah is positively entrancing. Her sexual appetites seem to have no boundaries or limits. I learned more as the story proceeds and continued to adore Maria as I got a better handle on her desires. Touché Maria!

This book brought back my need for a tall, cool, icy beverage and I loved that! The extraordinary dynamics between these three in addition to their powerhouse individuality was a treat beyond measure. Each member of this group has talents, triumphs, and scintillating personal accomplishments. Please do not miss getting to know these folks on their own and as one high-flying trifecta! Definitely recommended!

I tried. Oh my, did I try. I wanted this book to rock: F-F? Sure, why not. Ménage? I’m on board! This type of book is very hard to write and unfortunately it missed the mark.

I’m not sure how I even finished this one. I know I’m in the minority here but I just didn’t like this…. Read. It’s hard for me to call it a book, at times I felt like I was reading a porn script. Don’t get me wrong, I like it spicy… but I also enjoy character development and plot. This had none. I wanted to know what Adam was about, why Sarah fell into loveless marriages and the details regarding Maria’s “call girl” past. I felt like I was rolling my eyes a lot—Did Sarah really say sweet dreams to her privates? Seriously? Why didn’t she feel violated with the mirror incident? I was outraged for her…

I'm glad this was a freebie, or i'd be pissed that I spent money on it!
This book is lacking a storyline and although it may criticize porn movies and their lack of stories, it just looks like a badly written porn for me.
Really I felt like this was supposed to be a porn script...and then thought that it must have been written by a guy...when I finished I realized it kinda was...
I'm really sorry, it was promising, but writing a story about a threesome relationship is just not that easy and it's really tacky when it looks like a common porn :(

OK, not sure how to approach this one. The blurb I read seemed interesting, that's why I requested the book. Once I started reading it, it was basically like reading a cheesy porn movie. This book should literally just be written into a movie, I'm sure it would do way better as a movie instead of a book.

Review:

"The Reunion" by Adriana Kraft was a polyamory novel with real 'edgy characters with inclusive sexuality.' Now, I will just say this is not a read for the faint of heart. Beware this story is of a man and two women. This author really did her magic with bringing together two from there high school days. Back during these two ... we find Sarah was considered a 'goody to shoes persona' and then there was Adam the 'bad boy out of reach' that looked on thinking Sarah would never want any part of him. At that time these two Sarah Atkinson and Adam Granger weren't really friends but after a few dances at their class reunion these two are later to be found going at it in her room. Wow! Adam leaves quickly the next morning for home which was in California and Sarah is somewhat shocked because she wants more from this 'stud.' Sarah soon finds out where Adam lives... so she leaves her Chicago home for California to find him. However, upon finding Adam home Sarah finds out he has a housekeeper (Maria Ramirez) that was living with him...but was she really a domestic? As the story continues to flow very smoothly, will this 'former good girl' Sarah throws caution to the wind to pursue Adam? What is up with Maia...is she a live in lover of Adam's? What happens when Maria hits on Sarah? Is she trying to pursue Sarah? Will Sarah run back home to Chicago maybe to a ex? What will Adam do? Will he try to push Sarah to her 'sexual limits' to try to get her to leave his well made love nest? Will there be a' three some'....Sarah, Maria and Adam?" There is a lots that is going on in this novel and if this is your genre (erotic)plus... you must pick up this well written novel to see how these authors (husband and wife team) will bring it all out for the readers. You may be surprise at how well Sarah seems to adapt to it all and becomes a take charge person in more ways than one. Also it will be interesting to see if Adam will want to be a part of this team and if he does "what must he sacrifice? I found "The Reunion" a very easy flowing smooth read with all the characters being so well developed and so colorful. Once you start to read it will be hard to stop until you are at the end.

Thank you Adriana Kraft for permitting me to read your novel. It was quite interesting learning about 'Polyamory.' Would I recommend? If this is your type of genre... then I am sure it would be your kind of good read.

Their twenty year class reunion, a friendly chat around the punch bowl leads Adam and Sarah to comfortable dance around the room. Sexual tension was high between them which lead to a night of passion…
Their social standing growing up may have kept them apart but … Now that they are older what will happen the in the morning?
Or even weeks after?
My thoughts…
The book had several POVs which is nice to read because to me personally you seem get a well-rounded story for the most part.
The characters, what did I think of the characters… Adam is a real arrogant self-center and confused man for one thing…Then Sarah were shall I begin the multilayer and her past…Add Maria to the mix, Ay Caramba!
The book was a steamy read to say the least; I could even add Holy Toledo…
Was there a quote from the book that I like? Yeah there was.
“You’re fighting a myth, Adam. Sarah was right when she said that she’s not your teen angel or youthful fantasy. She’s capable of bleeding. And thank God, she’s capable of loving.”
“Guess we’re all woman-facing acceptance, rejection, longing for fulfilling relationships, integrating family expectations, dealing with significant others-male or female, raising children and managing aging bodies.”

Their twenty year class reunion leads Adam and Sarah to a dance around floor. Sexual tension was high between them which lead to a night of passion. When Adam leaves without saying goodbye Sarah decides to through caution to the wind and pay him a visit for more hot sex his live in girlfriend answers the door. Maria Ramirez is the super delight of this trio. At first Sarah thinks Maria is a maid and Maria strings Sarah along for a bit while at the same time becoming increasingly enamored with her. And then everything turned when Maria and Sarah finally got intimate together and then fell for one another. Of course like most men Adam is stubborn and did not want get with the program for all 3 of them together, so what do the 2 smart women do? They turn up the heat. Adam has a hard time come to terms with his feelings for both women he becomes jealous of their relationship and the fact that had a threesome with out him. The sex scenes were really good. This was a new author to me and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was really surprised. I gave this book 4.5 stars and I would have given it 5 if the authors would have explained a little more why Adam was afraid of commitment and not wanting kids a little more. Really good F/F/M or F/M/F.

Sarah and Adam meet again at their 20th high school reunion. Never having the courage to have sex while in school they make up for it that night, only to have Adam leave in the morning. Sarah lets him go but keeps that night in her mind. She finally decides she has to pursue whatever they might have and goes after Adam in Adriana Kraft’s THE REUNION. Little does Sarah know what the impact of her actions will be and how it will change lives.

I LOVED this book. At first I thought it would be a cliché of old schoolmates meeting again after 20 years, remembering how much they liked each other in high school but not having the courage then to embark on a relationship so they decide to make up for lost time at their reunion, decide that they should have had the courage back then, fall in love now, and have their happily-ever-after as adults. This is NOT that type of book. There are so many layers in THE REUNION.

I loved Sarah. She was not a goody-two-shoes that Adam thought she was and now wants to pretend she is. She is a flesh-and-blood woman who loves sex. While Adam worshipped her from afar in high school, Sarah was getting an education that surprised Adam when he found out about it. Sarah has had two husbands. Neither of which were worthy of her. One is a senator who only wanted Sarah to give him a family so he would be surrounded by children for his campaign photos. The other was only interested in her until she surrendered to him then the thrill of the chase was gone. The only good thing both men did for her was divorce her and make her wealthy so she was able to find her life’s work and pursue it.

I loved Adam. He thinks he has everything under control. He discovers that with Sarah that was not true. She bests him so often that it is a treat to watch. He is a Dom but he has not explained the rules to Sarah so when she misbehaves she has no idea she has misbehaved and does not understand what she has done wrong. What Adriana Kraft has done very well with Adam is show us his flaws. He is not perfect. He is not this tough-as-nails alpha. He has hang-ups and insecurities. He questions what is happening. He questions what he should do. He is not sure of anything when it comes to Sarah and their relationship.

The third person in this ménage is Maria, Adam’s live-in lover. When Sarah turns up at Adam’s home, she assumes Maria is the maid. At first Sarah dismisses Maria. Maria allows it because she knows something happened at the reunion that deeply affected Adam. When Adam tells Sarah of Maria’s place in his life, Sarah is unsure of where she fits into Adam’s life. I like how there are no assumptions that everything will turn out wonderfully. Each character is feeling his or her way around this relationship. Sarah has to question whether this type of relationship is right for her. Adam has to decide if he can handle two women. Maria questions it the least. She is the most open to it and the ramifications of it.

The story revolves around Sarah, Adam, and Maria working out how they will have a relationship. Sarah and Maria spend a lot of time together and, while Maria knows she loves women as much as men, Sarah has to come to the realization she is bisexual. The women fall in love. I liked that the f/f story was given prominence. It was well done. Usually the f/f aspect of a ménage relationship is ignored or downplayed. The usual ménage focuses on the f/m/f relationship with the women servicing the man and little or no interaction between them. That does not happen here. The women and their growing love becomes the centerpiece of THE REUNION. Adam has to learn where he fits in the relationship. That is what makes THE REUNION different. Adam does not have all the answers. At times, he flounders badly as he questions what the women want, what he wants, what is the nature of the relationship between the three, and is he part of the relationship. Sarah and Maria want him to be part of the relationship but they will not force him. If he chooses to go, they will let him go and strengthen their own relationship. It is only when tragedy strikes that Adam knows where his place is, where he needs to be.

There is a secondary storyline which is interesting. As Sarah contemplates staying in California, she takes up photography again. Her clients are women in the sex industry. I was fascinated by their stories and how Sarah’s views changed as she got to know these women. She realized they were similar to her with the same wants and desires—to have a home, a family, a job so they could pay the bills. I liked how Sarah’s prejudices were broken down. It was refreshing.

THE REUNION has well-developed characters in an unconventional relationship. The sex is hot and steamy. It gets the juices flowing. I wanted the happily-ever-after ending but I was willing to go with whatever ending happened. Sarah, Maria, and Adam are not characters I will soon forget. THE REUNION is not a book I will forget. I liked how the characters had to struggle to find their answers. I liked how they fought to ensure the answers were right for them. I am glad these characters visited me.

This read is a erotica read and involves lots of sex and MMF. If you have an aversion to those then this read is not for you.

I have not read from this author, but the by line sounded good Sooo I requested it!! I of course enjoyed this read. Adam and Sarah hit it off quite well at their high school reunion. Of course, the morning after is a little awkward and Adam takes off with out even a good bye. Adam has an open relationship with Maria back home in California and it is not unusual for them to bring a third into their bed. It always being female never sticking around UNTIL Sarah that is! Sarah is a handful and knocks them both off of their feet. She knocks on Adam's door and is none the wiser about his arrangement with Maria. Somehow finding out Maria is not the maid. They both hatch a plan to include Adam and his bed. This seems like a match made in heaven until feelings get involved. Adam wants no part in the emotions involving love. This is a good story and would have loved an epilogue of some sort. Other than that it was a good read and the emotions that guided everyone was explained well. Especially regarding each one of their past experiences and why they chose the life they each lead.

I received this ARC via Net Galley from the author for my honest review. thanks Net Galley!

While I must be upfront and honest, I am not usually into a m/f/f ménage. However with The Reunion I didn't mind. It was nice to see Adam and Sarah's "crush" on each other in school finally intensified when they met at the reunion. Then factor in Maria. Adam's live-in "friend" and you have one red hot story. It was interesting/funny that Sarah thought Maria was the maid. And then everything turned when Maria and Sarah finally got intimate together and then fell for one another. Of course like most men Adam is stubborn and did not want get with the program for all 3 of them together, so what do the 2 smart women do? They turn up the heat. Do you think Adam can resist or does he give in?

I definitely recommend this book. Lots of hot steamy sex! This book has a lot of clever scenes sexual and nonsexual. This book also has a little suspense I was on edge in a few chapters(thinking omg is only 2 of them going to stay together and which ones) You will not be disappointed!

Sarah and Adam meet up at a school reunion and after an amazing night together, Adam disappears thinking it was a one-night only event. Little did he recon on Sara showing up at his doorstep.

Of course, things are not that simple because Adam already lives with the beautiful Maria but they are not averse to a threesome and gradually they lull Sarah into the fold. As it happens, Sarah is not as innocent as Adam thinks she is and shocks him by her eager responses whenever he pushes what he perceives are her boundaries.

I just loved the way this story was laid out and the gradual process which all three characters fell for each other. You get to read each person's POV as they go through the emotional as well as sexual journey. I was with them every step of the way till the heart-warming finale.

This story is all kinds of sexy, definitely for grown-ups only, erotic fiction written tastefully, and shows how a ménage relationship can work beautifully.
My first time of reading this author and it won't be the last. I loved this little trifecta.

I rate this book 4 stars. It was an entertaining read. It was well written and visually you can see the characters coming to life in front of you. It brings you to a wild side of reading and it woke me up..

When Sarah Atkinton return back to her 20th high school reunion she is a different person. Not the same goodie two shoes she was known as. She is now twice divorced and going back home she runs into an old flame Adam Granger, that she was always dreaming about but never hooked up. He was the local bad boy then.

This book is a good read, it is about love, sex, excitement and Sarah coming to terms about who she is.Be warned, this is 18+ book and very detailed. It is well written and I highly recommend if you like to read erotica books ie: M/F/F; Menage stories. this one was a "Polyamory".

I was given a free copy to do my review of this book. Thank you Adriana Kraft.

Let me start with the non-storyline issue - there were a lot of formatting errors in this book. There were whole passages where the sentences were jumbled and 2 or 3 lines were in the wrong part of a paragraph... and then the story would pick up 3 lines later from where it should have been all along. Confusing and distracting and a surprise that I haven't seen in a book from/on NG before.
As for the story line it was so drawn out and just seemed to try too hard to be filled with angst but fell short and just left me skim reading hoping that something would catch my interest. Rather than feel vested in the characters I felt like I was being given a lesson on the porn industry and how those women need to build their investment portfolios.
I received this through NetGalley for an honest review and honestly this book just did not appeal to me at all.

Well written Erotica that has strong characters and an interesting storyline is rare but Adriana Kraft delivers with The Reunion. It centers around a second chance at love story, but adds the twist of a third person - so M/F/F menage. The will they won't they, who will last? premise was well plotted. The story had enough suspense and twists and turns to keep me guessing. Oh, and the sex? Passionate and sensual love scenes actually serve to move the story along and add depth to the characters and a bit of angst to the journey.
Ms. Kraft has done a really good job of making each participant in the threesome a unique individual, no one any more multi dimensional than the other. I became emotionally invested in the outcome. Well Done!

Not really sure what to think about this book. It was an okay read but nothing I would brag to others about. It's raunchy, over the top and the characters are very immature. I read this thinking that it was going to be a second chance at love for Adam and Sarah and it definitely wasn't that. In fact, I feel like Adam isn't really even a major player in this story. It's all about Sarah and Maria and them realizing their feelings for one another. In the beginning Sarah and Maria fall into bed as a way of making Adam jealous so he'll act on his feeling for Sarah but that soon blows up in his face as Sarah and Maria quickly begin to realize that they want to be together with or without Adam.

As I said, this book was okay.

I really enjoyed this story and was lucky enough to pick up a copy while it was free.

This story had equal amounts of plot and smut.

The menage was hot and for once it was the male who had the biggest jealous issues to get over, rather than the females feeling jealous and/or insecure. I guess due to that fact there were way more F/F scenes than M/F or M/F/F. Infact, all three don't come together (pun intended) until much later in the story.
Given it was FFM I must say I was surprised how much anal play was in it, not something I personally am a fan of.

I found the side story of photography and the adult industry unique and interesting.

This was a very nice f/f/m story, where none of the characters was weak or phony, or domineering or thick-headed (OK the guy maybe a little).

Our leading lady flies off to reconnect with her high-school crush from 20 years back, only to be met and lured in by his current lady. And since everyone already has lots of money, we don't have to worry about dependence issues.

Instead we get lots of teasing, denial, and very hot sex between all of them, including a nice dash of voyeurism. Throw in some family tragedies for dramatic turning points, and you've got a steamy menage with a H3A ending.

What made this story for me was the relationship between Sarah and Maria. Adam was pretty unlikable through most of the story. Sure he's hot and the sex with him is as well, but his personality was not. He seemed to be playing some game with Sarah that no one understood. He just suddenly came around and dropped the attitude.

As I said Maria and Sarah held the story together. They had actual conversations and got along magnificently. especially in the bedroom.

A lot of sex and not all threesomes. There are plenty of twosome moments for them in all combinations. Hot, hot, hot!!! Will read others from this author.

I would never complain about an erotic novel having to much sex, but my only issue with this one is that it had a really good story and as soon as the story really started to get good, the amount of sex rose to the point that it was like a half a page of story per 5 pages of sex. This was all just right at the end in maybe the last 20% but I found myself wanting to just skip forward and see what happens already because it was so drawn out. Other than that a good book though and well written.

Hmm....so I didn't like this book for many reasons. The writing was bad, the storyline was bad & barely there & I really hated the characters. I will say that the sex was hot but, only between the 2 woman Maria & Sarah. When Adam got involved it was meh. He was the worst anti-hero asshole that I've ever read. There was no substance in this book at all. It was just all sex and that got boring after awhile. From 50% on, I skipped pages & skimmed just to finish.

This story didn't click for me. Hero in an open relationship sleeps with the heroine at a HS reunion. These reunions, amirite. Heroine hunts down the hero at home and thinks his girlfriend is the maid. The hero doesn't clear up this misunderstanding and continues to sleep with both women. I got the feeling that there was going to be a surprise threesome. Cliched start, iffy setup & off-putting characters. dnf

This book is NOT for any even slightly prudish readers. Definitely fits well in the erotica category. Although explicit, I did not feel this book was purely 'porn' - there was a truly loving relationship (ok, several) and HEA. My only complaint is I wish we had gotten more insight into his personality/thoughts.
