It's hard to describe what this book is or even classify it. That's definitely not a bad thing though. In fact, quite the opposite.
I think the book could best described as "a bathroom reader for the scientifically curious". Better yet, the intellectual's bathroom reader. The topics it covers jumps around a bit (one section would be about space or physics, the next about food or health, and the next history), though it seemed to compliment my ADHD quite nicely. The length of the articles also seemed to be perfect for a bathroom break.
As far as cons go; I wish it would have went into more depth on a few the articles I was especially interested in. It left me wanting more and I eventually went and looked up some of the info myself online. Another con is that the pictures aren't in color. It was a minor issue but it keeps me from giving the book 5 stars.
Overall, the book was a fascinating read and I definitely recommend it. Books like these are unique and it's a shame that there aren't more like it.
