The almost 4 year old loves it but I think the tense of the book is confusing since its set in the future. The illustrations are limited. The story is dramatic. If there are others in the series. We will get them as we learned something too.
Personally, I'd rate this with one star. I didn't like it at all. But my 4-year-old son was glued to it, in spite of its lack of interesting illustrations. Several of the pages have the exact same illustration on them of a generic landscape. Since the little guy liked it, I gave it 2 stars.
