Purity, Honesty, Chastity--They were all admirable traits, but when they came in the form of three headstrong, spririted, sinfully lovely sisters, they were...
Elaine Barbieri wrote over thirty historical novels that have been published worldwide. She was certain young adult readers would enjoy the excitement of historical romance if given a chance, and she welcomed the opportunity to write Miranda and the Warrior for this new audience. Elaine lived in northern New Jersey with her husband and family, and with Harrison, a demanding male who she is sure would be the ultimate hero -- if he weren't a cat.
I loved it. The story was amazing. It was sweet and the female protagonist was strong and determined. Story was intriguing and the conflicts were realistic and relatable. Little bit disappointed the sisters weren't reunited at the end, but that's just me. I'm sure they do in the next book.
You know, I think I'm really starting to like the modus operandi of Elaine Barbieri and how her villains always seem to fall into a lustful haze of obsession with the heroines, like they do in this book and in Chastity. I'm curious if the same thing happens in all her books, including the first book of this series--Dangerous Virtues: Honesty.
Ahem, but anyway, long story short, I did really like this read as well, though perhaps not as much as Chastity.
Here, we meet the middle sister of the trio, Purity, who's one tough gal! Rescued by a rancher who's raised her as his own, Purity is always competin' and always provin' herself just as good as any man, and no way no how is she takin' anyone's bs, not for one second no how!
Well...until Cass Thomas (Pale Wolf) enters into the picture, that is. Then...things change.

Overall, there were a lot of details that I really liked about this: the villain, the hero and heroine, their relationship, and all the characters around them as well. The story held my interest from start to finish, which is always good, and gave a satisfying conclusion as well.
If I had to pinpoint one thing that keeps me from upping this to the full five stars, it's that I wish that the romance had started between Cass and Purity just a bit earlier. Like...the first half is kind of all buildup to their obviously having the hots for each other, but then it takes so long for either of them to actually admit it and make a darn move!
I mean, the buildup's important too, don't get me wrong, but I think I could stand it if the romance started up a bit earlier than the halfway point, is all. Still though, a re-read might easily change my mind and up this from a 4- to a 5-star rating. We'll see, as a re-read is definitely in this book's future!
Purity by Elaine Barbieri is book 2 of the series. The storyline is great but at the beginning I was confused as in what direction it was taking. I didn't like the characters at first either but keep reading on. I'm glad I did because I enjoyed the story and the ending is good.
Purity a girl who lose her family. Stan found her and raised her. There was trouble at the ranch. Stan took a partner. Jack has a half breed son .There is trouble and mystery at the ranch and a banker's son involved.A good book well written
I loved this book. It was very interesting, and i've always wanted a romance with an Indian - half-breed or full blood, they're are both awesome. ^__^ I believe that this is the second book in the Dangerous Virtues series. the First one is about the eldest sister, Honesty, and the third is about the youngest, Chastity. I haven't read the other two yet, but I really want to. Purity was a good story, all about secrets, honor, debts, trust, and of course, love.
Enjoyed this book greatly. Once a book keeps me interested I'll read it completely without missing pages. This story kept that interest going. Will probably read again and will also now read the other stories about the sisters.
