Loved it

This is sibling rivalry taking to a whole new level. I mean they are getting people caught up & they are getting killed for association. Sometimes its best to just be by yourself. I love how Renee has grown up & wanna have a life outside of the drug empire. Not sure if she will get it with the secrets that arw being revealed. Carmen deserve everything that happens to here. She has cause enough trouble for one thing. Jared not sure what will happen with him. This book leaves yoi in suspense and ready for more. Now ready for part 3 to see what will happen. Which sister will reign and which one will fail?

I definitely slept on this read. It picks up right where Part 1 finished. Once I started I could not stop. Read this book so fast I can't believe it. The plot is exciting and keeps you engrossed. The story line flowed smoothly. The characters are easy to follow and relatable. No grammatical errors which made reading a great experience. The story was well written and evenly paced. She understands what a reader wants to read. Overall great book - you won't be disappointed.I am looking forward to part 3.

Carmen miscalculated Renee. I liked what this author did in book 2, however now I have to read about a 3rd sister now to go after Renee. I know the author is now redoing this story, however I had to read this to know what is going on with Renee and her throne. Overall this was a good story.

One of the good things about this series (besides the premise) is how characters that eventually tie into the story.
This one was a little more cohesive than the first.
I'd like too see what eventually happens to Carmen.

After surviving the ordeal she went through with her sister Page, Renee has decided to put the past behind her and get out of the game. Renee wants to be able to start her life over and enjoy the happiness that she sees the others around her enjoying. Renee wants a family, kids and the picket fence but she knows in order to really be happy and get her dream she has to give up the game. Since Carmen is the one who saved her she wants to turn over everything to her. While Renee is having this change of heart those closet to her are not happy with her just wanting to get rid of everything and they are even more upset that she wants to just hand over her empire to someone she barely knows. Renee cant seem to catch a break with her new attitude those around her begin to question her, Carmen is thrilled to have earned her sisters trust and will stop at nothing until Renee’s entire empire is completely hers. When Renee cant seem to find her instant happiness, and with the people around her anything but happy, as well as secrets being uncovered Renee must choose between her happiness or her loyalty. What will she choose?

As I read the journey Renee was going on I was a little upset with the fact that she had did like a whole 360 so fast. She was just really nice, and wanted a family and she didn’t have that edge I wanted her to keep. I know why she changed but I just liked the edge Renee had because I just felt her change came so quick. I felt Renee was really naïve, I know she wanted a family but she trusted Carmen way too much and she wouldn’t listen to those closest to her who she knew had her best interest at heart. There is a lot going on in this book as far as the drama and secrets that you don’t see coming. What happens at the end with Tina I would have never guessed it. I don’t want to give too much away in the book, but you will enjoy it. The only thing I can somewhat complain about is I am not much of a detail person so all the details some of them I could have skipped and just continued with the story but other than that it was a really good follow up to the first one. In book three I need to know what happens with Renee and Julian and what that sneaky Carmen is up to. Great job to the author and cant wait to see what is next.

Renee 2 The protégé by Brandie Davis

Another One Bites The Dust

Let me start by saying  this sequel rocks and is better than the first. I need theauthor  to hurry up with the finale. I can’t wait to see how the puzzle gets finished. I love her style of writing and getting her points across. I can see improvement in this short period of time and am positive that she will continue to improve in her skills.

Renee is ready to give the underworld up. With all that has taken place in her life she wants the simple life. She is preparing to give the crown to her sister,Carmen, who is more than willing to take over it. What happens when friends and family warn her that Carmen is not to be trusted? Will Renee finally wise up and listen or will their pleas fall on deaf ears? With a few sub stories going onthere is a lot to keep us turning the pages. With Julian, Renee’s boyfriend, and Dame her mentor and friend, a blast from the past comes to make an appearance and their presence felt.

I highly recommend that part one be read first to get the full background on Ms.Renee. Really looking forward to finding out  how things turn out for Renee. Ms Davis has really entertained me with her two novels and I look forward to seeing more from her in the near future.

Renee 2 starts off where book one (Renee: All Hail the Queen) left off. Renee has decided to hand down her empire to the sister she never knew about because she wants to have a 'normal' life. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, she is pulled deeper into the game before she gets a chance to exit. Renee 2 is an epic tale that had to be told. Brandie has done and excellent job of giving us another powerful tale of how the streets can take over a person's soul and how money and revenge can turn said person into a monster. She has given us another 5 star must read. Great job and we look forward to book 3!

The Renee series just keeps getting better and better...I'm really amazed with how the characters keeps connecting...Brandie really had my eyes wide open with all these characters and how they actually fell into place...Although, Renee had me worried for a minute with how naive she was about Carmen...but it didn't take long to figure out what Renee was really about, and now I know why she's on top...Just as I was getting really excited it was over...I can't wait for book three to come out :)

Ok so I read this book in a day. I could not put it down. Such a well written story. Very detailed description of each character. Great story line and a suspenseful cliffhanger ending. I can't wait to she how the Queen reigns vengeance on her enemies and how that ratchet grimey Carmen tries to overthrow her.

Renee is back. In this second installment we don't see the same Renee. This Renee is using her heart more, which is putting her in danger. She is not making decisions like she normally does. You know what happens next?

Renee's hand is forced and her enemies now have to regroup. She was underestimated and mistakes have to be corrected. Who will survive the aftermath?

Great sequel

Brandi definitely didn't let her readers down! Not only was this a great continuation, she let me anxious for part 3. Renee has once again has shown she's not to be played with. But I can't help but wonder what Carmen has up her sleeves. I'm pulling for Renee and a happy ending for her and Julian.
