That Deaf Guy: A Family Portrait

Rate this book
The very best of "Adventures In Deaf Culture", "Extreme Interpreting" and "Deaf Reel".

Matt and Kay Daigle have collaborated on "That Deaf Guy: A Family Portrait", an anthology of humor about the deaf and hearing worlds. Included in this book are excerpts from Matt's previous books "Adventures In Deaf Culture" and "Extreme Interpreting", both now out of print. There are also never-before-seen cartoons. Yes, you can have your cake and eat it, too... as long as you don't get any crumbs between the pages!

I've started reading these comics on Facebook, and I love seeing Deaf culture shared in this format.

I got interested in sign language because a guy I knew knows it. While teaching myself ASL, I found this. It's quirky, informative and it's hella fun when you recognized the things they're signing in the comics.
