I think if this was the first book in the series, I would be rating this four stars instead of three. But after 7 books, this just feels formulaic. There's been very little character growth, and the plot is almost always resolved in the same way: by the protagonist and his sidekick knowing or intuiting more about what was actually going on than it seemed at first.
repetitive, and there's tons of characters now. Kind of hard to get who is who after a year break from the series. It's been only a few days but I can't even remember what the plot was really about, so there's that as well. What bothers me more is that the author does not seem capable to write dramatic / emotional scenes. They get so ridiculous that it's almost comical and all suspension is lost. 3* but more like 2.5.
I find it interesting that the ones who reincarnated into the Otome game only know the plot but not the full story. It makes them realize nothing is what it seems.
