We all wish to attain success and happiness in our lives. However, only a few people are able to live life the way they want and get what they desire in their lives. Our ability to get what we want is commonly known as intelligence. Yet the IQ Tests are not the proper measure for true intelligence as we know that many people with high IQ lead miserable lives as they fail to develop the true intelligence, which must include: 1. Knowledge of the self 2. Knowledge of others- your allies and your opponents 3. Knowledge of the ground situation 4. Knowledge of the various techniques that need to be employed 5. Intuitive ability to select the best technique Spiritual Intelligence is defined as “the ability to know the self, know other people, know the ground situation, understand the ‘desired objective' and inculcate the ability to choose the ‘right technique' that should work in the given situation.” This book explains the concept of Spiritual Intelligence and provides practical methods to develop and practice it for developing innovation, leadership and happiness.

An extremely well written and structured book about developing one's spiritual intelligence for innovation, leadership and happiness. Awdhesh Singh writes with knowledge, wisdom and an open heart, accompanied by fantastic parables, stories and quotes from various different cultural sources. If I had read this book when I was eighteen, I would probably be praising it from the rooftops, for it's only when you're new to an idea, or you first find a writer mirroring your own beliefs and thoughts, that you can get truly excited about it. Twenty years on, and I've read my fair share of soul help type books, so the majority of this book wasn't anything new to me. But that's the beauty of books like this. In some genre markets it can feel like there are a million copycats, but within the 'new age' faction, there's always room for another book like this, because as a reader, you'll resonate with different parts at different times on your soul path through life. So, whereas I recognised that I'd personally 'mastered' some aspects of what the author calls 'spiritual intelligence', there were also parts which retold me truths I haven't yet got right- such as desires and discipline. It was part four that I found the most insightful and connected with: applying spiritual intelligence. Especially the parts on creativity and leadership. For what is all this soul knowledge about if not to create a better world? This book makes things simple. 'God' is inside of us. Know thyself and you'll know 'God'. See others as yourself, lead others as yourself and make leaders of them. Good old fashioned soul knowledge that is much needed in the world right now. Bravo Mr. Singh!

It's very Nice book which elaborate spirituality in simple terms by giving real life examples . it's great experience to read this book . most recommended book to those who want to know the meaning spirituality at easiest possible way. Most of people in society have a mental phobia as spirituality means to become ascetic. this weird mentality had damaged ancient gift of India. Spirituality means to live the life where is happiness, joy & peace at every moments. To improve our lifestyle there is little spiritual knowledge must required otherwise we will lost our own identity & natural gifts under the roof of materialistic world. Must readable book for people of any age. Heartfelt thanks to Awdhesh Singh for the inspiration.
Overall a pretty decent introduction on what I would dub a 'Modern-Spirituality'. Joseph Campbell, one of the premiere mythologists of the last century when asked about the importance and need for a new mythology for our time said "the new mythology must be a global mythology with a narrative that emphasizes global community". He said that part of the problem with life today is that there are out-dated mythologies that people still adhere to that are exclusive and provoke conflict rather than cooperation.
Awdhesh Singh blends various religious teaching into a basic spirituality with a deeply personal focus but can easily encompass the global community. It doesn't promote differences or divisions and instead demonstrates how important spirituality is to modern life with all of its hustle and bustle it is easy for someone to feel lost. Spirituality is how one feels connected to life and to others, giving both a sense of purpose as well as providing a clear understanding of how love is more spiritual than emotional
My only criticism of this book is that the author doesn't go deeper. Which on one hand is great for those new to these concepts because it functions as a very readable introduction, but frustrating for anyone yearning for more.
"Practising Spiritual Intelligence" is very well written book. It divides into 4 parts for us to understand and practice our intelligence. Awdhesh Singh, the author of this book really knows well and can explain clearly. He gives important quotes and a lot of examples and show how an intelligence works for each situation. This book does not only teaches, but it can be a very good guide book to guide our life of how to be intelligent and how to act intelligently.
This was a very interesting book. The way spirituality was explained with different scientific theories and examples made the reading so much more interesting.
The best part of the book was that really complex concepts were written in such simple way that it was very easy to grasp everything. The entire thing was made even more interesting due to the use of humorous anecdotes.
The book is divided into different parts, which made it more interesting, I loved the last part of the book the most, which dealt with all how to implement all the learning and concepts that are highlighted in the previous parts to your advantage.
I buy this book in the trap of helo effect, this book contains a simple explanation of things like intelligence, creativity, and spirit. What I do not like in this book is repetition, repetition of concepts.
