The last of Darragh's outlaws fight a losing battle to avenge a fractured world. Gone are the rulers and kingdoms as the enemy sits on his dark throne. The war is over, the vision has come to pass, only vengeance remains.
This was a hard read. Not because it is poorly written or boring or tired, but because the characters have flesh and bone and you feel their visceral world almost as an experience of your own. Seth will take you on a vivid journey into the end of the world, and set you in the midst of the chaos that erupts from a band of no-holds-barred outlaws seeking to run those responsible for everything awful right into hell.
Some chapters feel like the most emotionally straining scenes of Full Metal Jacket, while others will transport you to foreign worlds you haven't yet visited or imagined. A must-read.
This 1,200+ page saga ends here. Most of the main characters from the first two books get their chance to shine. This is a genre bending series: part sci-fi, part fantasy. In the final battle, even the minor characters have something at stake. This series is quickly paced and full of action. A great escape for those who want to sit with a dram of whiskey and a host of interesting characters.
The author concludes his masterful trilogy with a torrent of fight scenes and a deeper understanding of both Darragh and Bon-Hwa. The book takes the reader on a roller coaster ride of emotions as the plot swiftly unfolds, an impactful ending.
