4.25 ⭐️

Willow Forester is tired of her current living situation; she wants to prove that she can be taken seriously. It's just hard because most still see her for her party girl reputation.
Noah Prestley doesn't do love. He's focused on his career and creating the best possible life for his son.
It was supposed to just be a fun one-night between two strangers, but it turns out they're tangled in more ways than one...

There were so many feels so early on in the story. I knew it was going to be an emotional journey because of the snippets we got from Willow in book one, Forever Never Always. But my heart is so incredibly happy for her progress and growth.
And speaking of said growth... Willow surprised the hell out of me. Not only for her determination in starting a new career but also taking on a role she never knew would be possible.

Apart from the one night stand, it's very slowburn. The chemistry is definitely still present, but the attention is set on the build-up on a new special relationship.

Unlike the previous book, where the focus was more on the siblings, this one is more personal to Willow. Many times, my heart ached for this woman because people only saw her for her past, and i just wanted to give her a big ol' hug. But i guess that ended up being Noah's job, and he did it so perfectly.

It's safe to say that Hanna Holt is an auto-buy author for me. I simply love her writing, and her unique storytelling has made it impossible for me to put her books down.
I'm hoping for more Forester siblings in the future because they haunt me in the best possible way, but I'll also accept any project in the works from the author :)

what you can expect:
🌳 age gap
🌳 single dad
🌳 mental health rep
🌳 protective older brothers
🌳 strangers to one-night-stand to -?
🌳 wedding planning
🌳 meddling best friends
🌳 adoption / fostering

THANK YOU so much, Hanna for the arc! It has truly been a delightful pleasure!

Willow gets her happy ever after

REVIEW
cw: mentions of domestic abuse and gaslighting, predatory behaviour, fostering/adoption, PTSD, anxiety & panic attacks
Willow is the Forester sibling with a reputation for being unreliable. Given her traumatic past, she relies only on one-night stands for fun. Which is how she first meets child therapist Noah Prestley. They exchange no names and no personal details, never expecting to see each other again. When Willow seeks out more responsibility and addresses her past, she has no idea just how tangled their lives are.
This is the second book in the Forrester series, and Willow was already a favourite character. This story only made me love her even more. I have to be very careful what I say because I don't want to spoil either book, but as in the first story, I HATED how everyone spoke about the Forester family, and how Willow was treated by her peers as a teen made me furious. I was so happy Steph was her friend back then and remained her friend. The depiction of her panic attacks was well-observed and sensitively handled, and her trauma was heartbreakingly well-written.
I loved Noah, and also Rowan, and their relationship with Willow was beautiful. I'm not ashamed to say I sobbed so many times, and Noah and Willow's chemistry felt organic, and the ending well-earned. That said, I'm never a fan of lack of communication, so Noah never even mentioning his interview early on frustrated me (not to mention breaking my heart for Willow). I also really, really didn't like Harper for most of the book. I understood why she was being protective, especially after Noah's previous relationship, but she just came across as rude for most of it, and I wish Noah would have called her out on it. Still, these were only small niggles, and, while I never condone violence, there's a part of chapter twenty-seven that I applauded. This book mainly focuses on Willow, so we don't get as much of the rest of the Forester family this time around. I loved Zelkova and Rowan's friendship though, and there were some sweet family moments.
Willow finally gets her happy ever after, and I couldn't be any more pleased for her.

Favourite Quotes:

Scars. I have more of them than I’d like and far less than one would imagine from all the mental lashings I give myself. I have scars from the accident. Scars from when my head was too muddled in high school. And a distinct purple scar from where they pulled my son from me and took him away forever, or what I thought would be forever. Sometimes I forget that they exist, but there is an inevitability of being reminded.

“Ask me for a number or a color. Let’s count how many galaxies we can see in the sky. H*ll, I’ll stand out here all night and wait for the next car to pass so we can guess the make and model. What do you want me to do to help you decide?”

“I’m sorry I ran,” I tell him.
“I’m sorry I made you feel like you had no other choice.”
“I don’t want to run anymore.”

“You didn’t do anything wrong. None of this is your fault. You know that, right? It’s important that you know that. Absolutely, none of this is your fault.”

This book was everything. I’ve been watching Hanna write it via Instagram for a while, and I know it wasn’t easy for her but it was absolutely worth it. I loved this book so much. There is so much depth in this book. It has so many heavy topics, but it does have such a good balance of so much good.

I love Willow so much. She has been through so much. So. Much. Her whole family has. It’s always straight chaos, in the best way. She goes through so much in just three months, she grows so much. And it’s not like it’s cut and dry, and by the end it’s not like everything is perfect. But everyone is happy and moving in a direction that’s best for everyone.

Ugh and Noah. I love him too. He is so GOOD. He’s also been through it. His family is also chaotic, but in a very different way than Willow’s. And now his world is quite literally turned upside down after meeting Willow?? And he doesn’t know what to do about it??

And them together?? It’s complicated and messy. But also SO GOOD. They are so wildly attracted to each other, and they make each other so happy. Even though their relationship is a pretty slow burn, and it seems like they don’t really spend a ton of time together, but they are in such a special way.

Rowan is the star of the show and that’s all I’ll say about that!

And all of the Forrester brothers. CHAOS. But they all love each other so much and it’s so clear. They just have had such a rough go of it, that it’s hard to even talk to each other sometimes. But without fail
they always show up for each other

Thank you so much to Hanna Holt for this ARC in exchange for an honest review! I am so happy to have finally read this and I will quite literally wait forever for the rest of the Forrester’s and everything else she is writing!

Once Twice Forever 🌲⁣
➖release date: July 10th ⁣
➖rating: 5/5 ⭐️’s⁣
➖spice level: 2/5 🌶‘s ⁣

I fucking love this family 😭⁣

The Foresters are a messy and chaotic bunch, but the love between them is so palpable and you can really feel that all throughout this book (especially where Willow and her older brothers are concerned)! <3⁣

Willow has had a pretty traumatic past and the small town rumor mill hasn’t done her or her family any favors, but she’s managed to survive this far and has (mostly) been getting by just fine. Or at least she /was/ until Noah, her (not so) one night stand, is unexpectedly being thrust (😛) into her life and forcing her to relive a past that she’s worked hard to bury. ⁣

OTF is a perfect follow-up to Forever Never Always and I /loved/ being in Willow’s head and seeing all of the similarities between her and her eldest brother Ash, especially in regards to relationships (bc of everything that their family has been through). I also loved getting to see the rest of the Forester gang again (Zelkova and his sweet bond with April >>> 🥹) and seeing how much they’ve all grown since the first book! I think one of my favorite things about this series is that despite the number of characters (a lot!!), hanna puts so much thought/care into developing each and every one so that they all have their own distinct personalities (even if they’re only in a handful of scenes)! ⁣

I can’t say too much bc ✨spoilers✨ but y’all, if you’re a fan of small towns & single dads, this is truly unlike any other single dad romance I’ve read, so pls pick it up!! It’s deep and vulnerable and really just feels like a labor of love! ⁣

Thank you endlessly to @authorhannaholt for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review! It was well worth the wait! 🫶🏻⁣

NO SPOILER REVIEW
- ARC Review

This is such a good book! I don't typically read romance, but I couldn't put this one (and the first one) down! This book is filled with second chances and unexpected love, which took hold of my heart and refused to let go. It's a story that resonated deeply with me, reminding me of the beauty of embracing life's twists and turns.

First of all, I'm a sucker for alternating PoV's per chapter, which this book has and does well.

Hanna has crafted characters that feel like old friends, flawed and relatable, struggling with their own demons and dreams. Noah and Willow are beautifully written, their vulnerabilities and strengths shining through with each page. I found myself emotionally invested in their happiness, rooting for them to overcome their obstacles and find solace in each other's arms. Their journey serves as a reminder that love has a way of entering our lives when we least expect it, turning everything upside down and filling our hearts with hope.

Once Twice Forever is more than just a simple romance novel—it's a heartfelt exploration of life's complexities, the power of forgiveness, and the joy of embracing the unexpected. Hanna's masterful storytelling and evocative prose kept me captivated from beginning to end. I was swept away by the tender moments, the heartfelt conversations, and the genuine emotions that flowed through the pages.

I highly recommend this heartfelt journey to anyone seeking a romance that tugs at the heartstrings, reminding us that sometimes the most remarkable love stories are the ones we never saw coming. Prepare to be enchanted by Once Twice Forever and let its embrace carry you away into a world of love, hope, and the magic of shared paths.

Willow and Noah have a one night stand that was unforgettable. Not long after they find their lives tangling together in more ways than one.

Oh, how I have missed the chaos and love that is the Forester family. Please someone transport me into this family asap.

I’ve been so excited to get to read from Willow’s point of view ever since it was announced she was getting her own book. Wow was it a delight and an emotional ride. She grows so much throughout the book and getting a glimpse into her thoughts/past made me love her so much more!

Noah was the perfect love interest and addition to the crew of amazing characters. He has an understanding of a different sort of chaos and that made me root for him and Willow even more. Not only was he sweet, funny and the perfect dad to Rowan but ugh talk about swoon worthy. I need a Noah in my life.

Rowan, Rowan, Rowan. That kid stole my heart from the moment he graced the page with his spunky presence.

Hanna Holt writes in a way that keeps you enticed from the first line. I remember being so impressed with how she crafted so many characters so uniquely and effortlessly in the first book Forever Never Always. That craft and talent shines even brighter in this one!

There were so many great moments/lines in this book but for the sake of not spoiling anything all I will say is get a copy today and read it! It’s a story that will make you laugh, swoon, cry, root for and want to be apart of a big chaotic and loving family. 5/5⭐️ from me!

Happy release day @authorhannaholt you’ve written a truly beautiful story. Thank you for allowing me to read it before it’s release! Can’t wait to see what you write next ✨

such a perfect book! I loved this so so so much. The characters, the plot, the tropes, everything was perfect!
It was a very unique plot with a single dad trope. I have never read anything quite like it and I was so delighted by every sentence.
This is a small town romance, dual POV, single dad, age gap, open door romance! I loved the dual POV and seeing how Noah saw Willow and realized everything she had been through. It was very romantic!
Willow is an amazing character! I loved the reasoning for her name and appreciated how well written her trauma was. My heart broke for Willow. She is honestly one of my favourite female main characters written in a romance book. I really did love her and can’t wait for everyone to get to know her!
Noah is also an AMAZING AND PURE character, I loved him so much.
Rowan is my favourite character, he was so funny! I don’t read many books with kids in them but this book has made me want to read some more! But I honestly don’t think any kid will compare to Rowan, he was a 10/10 character
Hanna did an amazing job writing such fantastic main characters, I have never enjoyed main characters as much as I did in the book, I never wanted to stop reading about them! Is it too much to ask for more books of just Noah, willow and Rowan?? lol, as I have said so many times, I LOVED THEM💚
This may be one of my new favorite romances. Thank you Hanna for sending me an ARC of this fabulous book!

Noah is the dad of a wonderful, inquisitive 9-year-old boy. He fostered Rowan when he was in his early 20s and went on to adopt him. He is also a wonderful psychologist who may struggle not to analyse the people he meets. Having a young child and living with his sister means he doesn't have time to date. Every now and again he will have a one-night stand. And this is how he meets Willow.

Willow, one of many Forrester children who have had a tough life. One could say that none have had it tougher than Willow. She is now the wild child of the family working dead end jobs but trying to break into the family business. While she remembers the one-night stand with Noah fondly, little does she know how connected they already are and how involved they will become.

What is this connection between Noah and Willow? Who is this boy that walks into the bar? Will Willow's brothers support her wish to become part of the family business? And can Noad and Willow keep their hands off each other?

This was a lovely story that I enjoyed reading a lot. I was a little confused about who was who in the Forrester family. This could have been a little clearer. But I really enjoyed the character development, the unveiling of the backstories, and the flowing love story. It was a little clunky in some areas but still a great read. The spice was on pointe!

Big thanks to Hanna Holt for this ARC

Ever since reading Forever Never Always, I've been looking forward to reading the next instalment in the Forester Family Saga. Once Twice Forever doesn't disappoint, its focus shifting from April and Ash to Willow - his younger sister with a bad reputation - and Noah, the adoptive father of Willow's son Rowan, who she gave up as a fourteen-year-old. Something I love about this series is that it does found family so well, yet the found family are also blood family. Everyone is dealing with a lot, and everyone looks out for each other. Just seeing Ash on the page again is the best experience, especially since he's much happier and more settled in this instalment. Willow's story is a heart-breaking one, particularly taking into account how she's been tarred by her small-town, small-minded community, whereas her rapist remains protected by his position and family. I thought the exploration of Willow's decision to give Rowan up for adoption at birth, and the shock of him coming back into her life a decade later, was done so well, and with a lot of nuance and respect. As with April and Ash, Noah and Willow complement each other so well as a pairing, so all in all this was a lovely contemporary romance with original twists and a bit of edge.

cw: themes of underage rape; underage pregnancy; PTSD; trauma.

I loved Hanna Holt’s debut, FOREVER. NEVER. ALWAYS. and now ONCE. TWICE. FOREVER has made its way into my heart as well.

Chaotic but fiercely loyal is how I’d describe the Forester siblings. Ash, eldest sibling, has had guardianship of his younger brothers and sisters since their mom died in a car crash 9 years ago, where his sister Willow was also injured. It is in ONCE. TWICE. FOREVER that we get Willow’s romance and a second chance in love that she never thought possible. I had a soft spot for Willow in Ash’s book as I felt she was vulnerable and misunderstood, so her book has made me smile, as I’ve been cheering for you, Willow!
There are a lot of siblings in this series, but once you get accustomed to who all 9 are, the family becomes just about as important as the main storyline and I’m slowly starting to piece together their personalities. However, this book is firmly Willow and Noah’s romance, with Noah’s son Rowan a big part as well. I just adore Willow, she has her own mind, she has the town’s biases against her, yet she is strong and slowly her life comes together in a way she never thought she deserves. There’s a chemistry between Willow and Noah and I love the relationship that develops between the three of them, little Rowan included. I loved it all, and look forward to more in this series! 💚

4.5 stars!

Thank you Hanna for the ARC!

This was basically everything i dreamed and hoped for after reading Ash&Aprils story. This was one of my most anticipated books and it did not disappoint at all. I just love this family so much, it was so good to be back with them all and in this world!

It was amazing to see all the siblings and what they’re up to! Ash is forever a diamond, best man ever! every time i read more about everyone it just makes me so ravenous for more details on their stories 🤣🤣🤣 literally so exciting.

On to Willow, oh Willow 🥹🥹🥹 honestly her character arc over this book was bloody beautiful. I loved Noah, he is so perfect for her, so patient and gentle like 😫😫😫😫 their story was perfectly paced and so, so charming. & ofc Rowans part in this story was magical! im being very brief because i don’t want to give too much away in this review! but oh my heart!

One thing about Hanna Holt is - she’s gonna nail the climax of the story! between this book and the first, my fav parts have been the big dramatic moment, both time i was wide eyed, heart going pitter patter, edge of my seat! soooo good!

Perfect, lived up to and simultaneously exceeded every expectation i had! i cannot wait for future books, i’ll be first in line to read them on release day. every. time.

I have been eagerly awaiting this book since I read the first one (and loved it) and it was absolutely worth the wait. I absolutely loved this one too. Willow and Noah were fantastic characters and the way their relationship developed throughout this book was *chefs kiss*.

Noah has a lot going on in his life and adding anything else to his plate just isn't part of the plan. Willow is just trying to make a little change and get her family to take her seriously, she really doesn't have time for much else either. But after one drunken night, neither of them can stop thinking about the other, even if they didn't exchange names. And when fate brings them back together again, tangling their lives together in ways they never imagined, their plans might just get thrown out the window.

This story was such a good one with some unique twists and some heavier subject matter all balanced with a fun story. Willow's life hasn't been easy, she's been through a lot, but her strength and growth throughout this book are fantastic. And Noah is such a fantastic dad to Rowan and the way he cares for those around him was just perfect. I loved the way Noah and Willow's relationship grew and they got to know each other and I love how they supported each other. And of course, you can't forget about the rest of the Forester family and all their antics, which were a perfect addition to the story.

This is a book (and series) I can easily recommend to anyone who enjoys the following and I can't wait to see what else Hanna Holt does.

✔️ Single Dad
✔️ One Night Stand
✔️ Age Gap (10 Years)
✔️ Anxiety Rep
✔️ Large Family
✔️ Slow Burn
✔️ Small Town
✔️ First Person Dual POV

Willow, our heroine bears a lot of generational trauma and those triggers tend to drag her down even when she's trying to change the bad patterns in her life, but she manages to push through and be her authentic self. The hero Noah, a single father who works as a psychologist for children is a responsible and mature man but has relationship scars of his own. They were clearly not a couple meant to be, but they chose love and made it work. I love how the author works with sensitive topics like childhood trauma, the emotions of children in non-tradition family structures and how her empathy is evident in the writing. I appreciate that neither the hero or heroine save each other but they want to grow as individuals regardless of the relationship. I adore the way the author rights about children, their antics and emotions. But the book is not all serious emotions, there is enough banter and spice to appeal to romance readers and just the right amount of it!

I really liked this book and the characters. I loved Willows family with all her siblings and how they're all named after trees. I loved Noah and Willow together and their son Rowan. I loved how the characters weren't perfect they each had their own struggles. I loved how Noah and Rowan find a family within Willows. I also loved how Rowan found Willow and seeing them bond together. I loved how the siblings look after each other and love their little jabs at each other reminds me of me and my sisters. I finished this book in one sitting. Noah and Willow had amazing Chemistry. I also enjoyed the other couples in the story.

It was so fun to dive back into the world of the Forester Family. This book focuses on Willow, and I have to say, she is not a character I typically gravitate toward reading about. But, it was cool to see her growth throughout the book. Noah was understanding and sweet. And Rowan was the highlight of the book. The plot itself was interesting and I enjoyed reading along as these three navigated life as strangers to family. I sometimes felt that there was more telling than showing, but overall it was a fun and satisfying read.

I enjoyed the whole journey for these complicated MCs... Until the end.

I don't understand the really, really abrupt ending. I honestly went back 3 times in my Kindle download to make sure I had the whole story and chapters weren't missing.

The whole story builds to this insane peak, and then bam... It ends, and the reader is left with so many questions.

I hope the next installment fleshes out the ending of the story much more completely, because I really enjoy the writer's voice and this family!

I feel like I was waiting for the second Forrester book forever! Hanna Holt has finally delivered her second book in the series. I was desperate for Willow to finally get a chance to be happy, and Holt delivered! The story between her and Noah was romantic and beautiful, but the story between her and Rowan made me cry happy tears! Willow, more than anyone in her family struggled with the car accident and resulting trauma that ultimately led her to giving her child up for adoption. The backstory that we learn in the book is absolutely devastating. Halt did such a beautiful job in her second book, and I am so lucky to have received an ARC. I can’t wait for the rest of the Forrester siblings to get their own book.

Thank you to Hannah hold for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
