Love Trilogy #1

Love Renewed

Rate this book
Returning to her hometown after fleeing ten years ago, the last person Charlotte Reylin wants to spend time with is the man who had broken her heart and her trust, yet Trevin Green seems determined to show her that their love never died.

Though she'd sworn to never live in Oakford again, Charlotte Reylin is back after the death of her husband, living with her mother and her autistic five year old son. She never imagined she'd run into the man who had broken her heart, or the maelstrom of emotions seeing him anew would induce...

Trevin Green has loved Charlotte for as long as he can remember. After discovering that she has returned to their hometown, he resolves to let nothing get in the way of renewing their love - including Shelby, the woman who screwed things up the first time and seems to want to do so again...

Is it possible for Trevin to convince Charlotte to let go of the past and give love a second chance, or will she turn her back on it - and him - for good?

Whoa! Another great book from C.S. Janey! Loved this...and after reading her previous book I was just waiting for the twist..and yep it was there.
I don't know any other author that can put so many twists and turns into her stories. I'm not going to give any spoilers but after you read her books you will know what I mean.
I couldn't stop reading once I got started.
I can't wait to read more from her and would highly recommend everyone read this as well as her other book 'Surrender to You' (on sale now $.99) You will NOT be disappointed!

Ten years ago, Trevin Green broke Charlotte Reylin's heart and sent her running from town. Now she's back and he's the last person she wants to see. But Trevin is determined to make things right and have Charlotte back in his life forever.

Love Renewed is a journey of forgiveness and learning to trust again. You'll fall for both Charlotte and Trevin, not to mention her gorgeous little boy. C.S. Janey's second novel, and the first in a trilogy, is rich with emotion and heartfelt passion. It's one of those books I can happily read again and again, but I'll always need a box of tissues nearby ;)

I was given a free copy in exchange for my review. I am not a professional writer or in any way connected to the publishing industry. Just a reader and lover of romance.

This was a charming tale of second chances and where misunderstanding may lead. I am rather in love with Trevin is is a good kind man who is the type any girl would be lucky to marry. Charlotte had some growing up to do before she was ready for him...

I liked the character of Shelby and liked what she added to the story. Charming book and a nice way to spend the afternoon.

very entering love story. It reminds me of younger days and how stupid you can act at the age of 19. Insecurities, believing things that you never really ask the answer too and just jumping the gun and do the wrong thing when in reality its not what you even thought or imagined it to be. they say believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see. In this case that saying is totally true.

I really enjoyed the book and I normally do not get into romance novels but on occasion its just a different read for me.
this one I barley put down. I like the fact that Trevor waited for Charlotte all those years and still completely loved her. that's true soul mates. too bad that doesn't work out for everyone who makes stupid mistakes. Although I think it was a bit far fetched that he never slept with any other woman as the book indicated. after all he's a man, he's 31. He didn't have to be in love to have meaningless sex.

The character Shelby was a total nut job and she fit quite well into the story because in what story, true or fiction, when isn't there another woman/girl trying to ruin your perfect relationship from just jealously or just being a stalker. sometimes they win enough to ruin the relationship but not the man in the end and in this case she didn't and I liked that part a lot. even if Charlotte was dumb enough to believe that 17 yrs before.

in any case this is a very sweet, endearing love story that worked out for the best in the end. Trevor got his woman, the love of his life, vise versa and he got the family to go along with it the adopted son and the baby on the way. the perfect ending to a great love story.

I received this book from the author for a promtional review on my blog which Is next to come.
I think she deserves a Hosting if her book plus Review.

I received an ARC copy for my honest spoiler free review in behalf of Everything Marie (http://everythingmarie.com)

Love Renewed was such an endearing story! The story starts of with a huge misunderstanding and extreme heartache. Trevin Green is caught up in a situation that makes him look beyond guilty. And the judge, Charlotte Reylin, doesn’t want to hear any excuses. With her heart broken to pieces she runs from town with her best friend Jack, not looking back or questioning what her eyes have witnessed. Allowing her anger to lead her into a life away from the man she loves.

Life goes on Charlotte marries and has a son. 10 years pass before Charlotte finds herself back home. Living in such a small town made it inevitable that she would see Trevin once again though she wasn’t really prepared for that day to come.

Trevin is every woman’s dream! He is sexy, sweet and not overbearing. He has not been able to move on past Charlotte. Hoping that one day she would return and when she does, he vows to do anything to win her back.

Love Renewed is journey of struggle, self discovery and forgiveness. The battle will be hard but the journey will be worth it. I just love C.S. Janey’s writing style. The character development was well written. Janey divulged just enough information to keep you wanting more.

You will fall in love with Charlotte, Trevin and adorable little Douglas. You will laugh and you may even cry. Your heart will break a little then mend itself.

Love Renewed is definitely a journey worth traveling, I would absolutely recommend it!

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Charlotte left her hometown after catching her fiance, Trevin, in a compromising position with another woman. She ran without getting any explanations from Trevin. After all, what could he say to make her believe he wasn’t cheating on her. Fast forward ten years. Charlotte is back in town with her five year old son after the death of her husband. Trevin never left town. He spent years trying to find Charlotte. He always hoped she’d return. Finally she’s back, and Trevin still wants Charlotte. She’s the one for him and always was. However, they’ve both changed. Can they have the same relationship they had ten years ago? Will Shelby, the other woman, keep them apart again?

This was a very good story. I found myself unable to put it down. I had to know if Trevin and Charlotte would get back together. I did find both Charlotte and Trevin to be weaker characters. Charlotte ran with the first sign of discord in their relationship. Trevin wanted Charlotte back and didn’t care that she didn’t trust him in the past. He just wanted to forget all the angst she put him through. I did find Trevin endearing in his wanting to take care of everyone. He planned on renewing his relationship with Charlotte and becoming the father to her son. He had it all planned out before they even got back together. This book was fast paced and easy to read. While I did find some grammatical errors, they weren’t enough to keep me from finishing and loving this book.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. Normally I shy away from novella's because I don't feel they give an author the ability to fully develop the characters. However in Ms. Janey's case I found she did an exceptional job with both Charlotte and Trevin creating characters that had true depth. As teenagers we often make mistakes basing our actions on what we see on the surface without taking the time to delve deeper. That comes with age and maturity. Having teenage daughters of my own Charlotte's reaction when she thought she walked in on Trevin cheating on her was believable. Only years later when she returns will she learn the truth and the roll her insecurities played on that fateful day. The book was a quick read and I would recommend it to anyone who wants some light reading while on vacation. The only reason I didn't give this a five star rating was because I felt the storyline was too predictable and had been done before. Still as a Novella goes Ms. Janey accomplished an amazing plot in such a short amount of pages which is why I gave her four stars. I do look forward to the next book in the series.

** I received this book in exchange for an honest review. ** With that being said, this was one of the most endearing love stories I have read in a long time. The fact that two people are so in love and are able to withstand a 10 year "break" and still remember the littlest things that they used to know and love is the ultimate fairy tale romance for most women in the world today. This book was so well written and so realistic that I could picture this happening to friends or even myself. The characters are so likable and believable and the plot had some twists that you would never see coming, especially when they are unfolding. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to read a good love story with a bit of mystery and suspense (just a bit). Enjoy this book and the others that C.S. Janey has written as I know that I will!!

I received a copy of this book form the author in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this sweet short read.

Charlotte ran away from home after high school and never looked back. A misunderstanding left her brokenhearted and helped shape the path her life take for the next 10 years. After the sudden death of her husband she is back in her small hometown with her 5 year old son trying to start over.

Trevin is devastated when Charlotte leaves town without letting him explain what happened. As the years have past Trevin has lost all hope of ever seeing her again but thoughts of her never go away.

When Trevin realizes that Charlotte is back home he will stop at nothing to win her back!!

I really enjoyed these characters and even though it was a shorter book I still felt like I got the full story. Looking forward to more from this author.

Thanks again to C.S. Janey for the opportunity to read this book!

I received a copy of this book for an honest review. I am not connected to the author or to the publishing industry.

This book definitely reminded me of the stupid judgement calls made as a teenager taking things at face value and making rash decisions without all the facts.

It is the story of Charlotte and Trevin childhood sweethearts who are separated as a result of a situation where Charlotte read more in a situation than actually occurred.

Upon meeting again 10 years later both still feel the same way about each other however have to deal with past insecurities and present difficulties in their own lives before being able to move forward.

I really enjoyed this book however if I was being picky I would have loved to see further interactions and more depth in terms of the relationships between Trevin and Douglas and the character of Shelby.

I would recommend this book as a 'true love never diminishes' story with a HEA.

I am a sucker for second chance romances and that's exactly with this book is - a sweet second chance romance.

Charlotte and Trevin had been childhood sweethearts but due to a knee-jerk reaction by Charlotte they were seperated for 10 years. They meet up again when Charlotte returns home a widow with a young son. They both realise that their feelings and love for each other are still there - Trevin (the total sweetie) never ever stopped loving Charlotte and really hadn't moved on from her.

The book is about misunderstandings, second chances and his one and only true love.

I would have loved it to have been more fleshed out with more detail, more on the 10 years that seperated them, more on Shelby. I would also love to see more use of contractions. This aside I really loved the story, loved Trevor to bits and Charlotte grew on me by the end of the book.

Normally I don’t take the time to review a book I have read. I find myself too excited to get to a new book than take the time to write down my thoughts. In this case it’s a different story. I LOVED THIS BOOK! The synopsis caught my attention and the fact it was a shorter read appealed to me because I would be able to finish it in one evening. Unfortunately I was devastated that this book was over once I got to the end. This is only because this has to be one of my favorite reads of the year. (I can’t wait for the next one in this trilogy!) I could not put this book down. The characters are likable, the plot is believable and I really felt like I was watching love play out right in front of me. I am looking forward to more books from this author and would recommend this sweet read to anyone looking for a great tale of love, misunderstanding, forgiveness, and a few twists and turns on the way.

I was given Loved Renewed for an honest review.

Loved Renewed was a great book that kept you saying what will happen next? Let me just say in all relationships you should never run away without getting closure. With that being said, the story starts off with Charlotte's heart broken into a billion pieces by her one true love Trevin Green and so she runs away with her best friend Jack. Charlotte hopes to move on and never see Trevin again. That was her plan until Charlotte finds herself back in her small home town 10 years later and runs into Trevin. What will Charlotte do? You will have to read Loved Renewed to find out!

Loved Renewed is a wonderful book with passion, love, heartbreak, forgiving and learning how to trust again.

Trevin and Charlotte are high school sweethearts, that couple that is best friends and end up lovers. They are engaged until Charlotte walks in on Trevin in a situation that shocks her and allows all her insecurities to consume her. Charlotte leaves and Trevin can't find her. Jump ahead 10 years and Charlotte returns to town with a 5 year old son after her husband dies. Trevin never thought she would come back to town but now that she is here he is not letting her get away again. Yes, there are predictable moments but overall the love story is compelling and the connection between Trevin and Charlotte is intense and believable. I also love how Trevin connects with Charlotte's son Douglas. There are a few surprises ... I knew a certain someone was going to come back to haunt them but never in the way that she did. A great afternoon read to escape into.

I received this book in return for an honest review (just last night and stayed up until I had finished it). This was a very well written captivating story. The characters were well rounded and you were given enough detail to help the story along but without being boring. The story really developed well and for a short story was not too rushed. Well done I really enjoyed this and will read more from this author.

2-2.5 'Meh Stars. It was ok... Personally I really didn't get on with the character of Charlotte. For a 29 year old mother of a 5 year old kid, he entire mind set and the way she dealt and coped with any kind of negative stimuli was extremely juvenile. On the flip side, Trevin also irritated me a little, because he didn't seem to have any emotion towards her actions other than "YAY She's back!" Hold that chick accountable!!!!!

She meet's her ex-fiance. Can he win her heart? I can't tell you, you have to find out for yourself! It's a great clean read! I loved it!

Another heart wrenching story from C.S. Janey. She’s fabricated a tale of love, loss (both imagined and actual) and all the emotions that go along with an old flame trying to drum up those feelings and piece back together a broken heart. Disappointment. Fear. Suspense. This contemporary romance has it all. Definitely worth the read.
