Natsume Aihara, 16 years old, has never been in a relationship or even went on a date with a guy since her neighbor and family friend, Sousuke Mikami, 25 years old, was always there to interfere whenever a guy dared talk to her. However, this year her goal is to find a boyfriend at all costs which is going to be complicated since Mikami is a nurse at her high school but also because he has feelings for her.
Yes, you heard it, the manga is centered around a relationship between a teenager and an adult. This manga is problematic on sooo many levels! There are many reds flags and issues that should be addressed. Right from the bat, Natsume says that he used to be something like a big brother to her because she knows him since she was a child. Their relationship took a turn when he started getting overprotective and let’s say it, creepy (she couldn’t talk to other boys, she couldn’t go out anywhere without him). And it didn’t stop there, no. After finishing university, he becomes a nurse at her high school, at least there, he will be able to keep an eye on her every time. I’m baffled that this is supposed to be the synopsis of a romance manga because I see nothing romantic whatsoever here!
I clearly should have stopped reading it when the term “Lolita complex” appeared. Or when Mikami says to Natsume that he “can’t wait to see [her] in a swimsuit at the pool today!”. It literary appears in the first couple of pages. At which point is it okay for an adult to say or have for that matter, such thoughts? As if this is not enough, he then comments about her breasts, says that he is turned on by her. I could go on and on about all the problematic issues this manga has but I rather save my energy for something else. It’s a shame that the plot is terrible because the art style was actually pretty nice.
Story is stereotypical shock but the fact that this adult man has unbridled fantasies about a 16 y/o is so gross. He even brags about already seeing her naked when he used to change her diapers. Ick.
I liked the art style and the manga has cute moments, but the setup (among other things) is really questionable considering she's 16 and he's 25. He's known her since they were children (he says he used to change her diapers), she sees him more like an older brother (at the start) and then to top it off he becomes a teacher at her school and he's the one constantly clinging to her and stopping her from being with boys her age, even when she tries. There's a lot of scenes in this that had my jaw on the floor (in a bad way) and that were bordering on being creepy, so I cannot recommend this despite the few things that I did like.
komik tuh kek camilan kalo lagi baca, abis nya cepet banget habisnya dan nagih wkwk
komik ini tuh ngingetin aku sama awal awal kenal komik waktu smp (sampe rela nabung demi beli satu komik🥲trus saling pinjem sama temen wkwk) vibe nya sama banget nostalgic banget
kalo untuk ceritanya like komik romance pada umumnya its good dan suitable with me banget karena aku menghindari terlalu banyak konflik kalo baca komik wkwk its not bagian dari 12 book challenge ku karena ini hanya ‘camilan’ hehe
I'm sticking to GR Rating system and giving it a 2/5 because its just "ok". It's not bad. There's just not anything that's making me want to read it. It's a student/teacher childhood best-friends romance. Art is good. Story is cute and fluffy. Not a lot plot or story arcs. That might change of course. I am only three volumes in as stated above. I'm just not interested in it.
Even tho the art is gorgeous and of course Senpai is bae but the story just wasn't that interesting. It felt too obvious as new characters emerged out of nowhere and the whole plot just bored me to tears....
That innocent-looking cover hides one of the most problematic age-gap romances I’ve ever read. Nothing about this manga is okay, but I did flip through it pretty fast and found it light, if a bit illogical. I just really don’t know how to feel about this title.
The story is fun and easy to read... If you don't dig in too deep in the actions of the ML. If you think too hard about it, his obsession for the FL is pretty disturbing. But again! take it easy and you will enjoy it. Somewhat predictable, but overall pretty entertaining.
You either like this type of FICTIONAL character or you hate this type of FICTIONAL character. In a story where I need to suspend my belief, I love him. In the real world, these people need to take a step back.
Okay folks, what the f* was this? This was absolute garbage and I don’t know who allowed this to be published. Nothing about this was romantic or funny?! This dude is in his mid twenties and acting like a total stalker and pedophile. The fact that he centers his whole life around her and prevents her from having interactions with other guys is so problematic, I can’t even begin to understand why or how anyone could rate this above a one or two stars.
