Over all I loved the last two books from this series a lot. I liked the first one also, but the last two blew the first book out of the water. Like the author was getting better as se went it was really enjoyable. The only thing I wasn't a fan of in all the books were the friends hiding their relationships from each other. These people are supposed to be best friends and have each other shoulders to leans on but all three of them his their significant other/relationship. It was strange that is all. Great books, very good series.

Ich habe mir das Boxset gekauft, weil Jay Crownover in einem Tweet meinte, Cora Carmack wäre eine ihrer Lieblingsmenschen und -autoren. So viel zum Thema Fangirl....
Es hat sich aber mehr als gelohnt - die Bücher sind super und vom ersten bis zum dritten steigern sie sich, was bei solchen Serien oft nicht der Fall ist. Meist lässt es beim zweiten Buch schon nach.
Losing it
Bliss (ja, das Mädel heißt wirklich so) ist im letzten Jahr ihrer Schauspielschule und immer noch Jungfrau. Das kann ihre beste Freundin Kelsey nicht einfach so stehen lassen, hübscht sie auf und zerrt sie in die nächste Kneipe, um diesen Status zu ändern.
Erstaunlicherweise trifft Bliss auch tatsächlich einen umwerfenden Typen: Garrick. Und die Kirsche auf dem Eis? Er ist Engländer und hat einen sexy britischen Akzent. Sie nimmt ihn mit zu sich und es geht auch wirklich zur Sache, aber dann kneift sie, erfindet eine Katze und rennt halbnackt aus ihrem Appartment.
Peinlich - man könnte denken, da kann man nichts draufsetzen. Weit gefehlt. Am nächsten Tag wird der neue Schauspiellehrer vorgestellt - und ja, es ist Garrick.
Ab da gibt es noch viel mehr peinliche und sexy Situationen.
Spannend fand ich, dass ich wirklich eine Zeit lang nicht wusste, wo es in der Story hingeht. Ist Garrick wirklich der tolle Typ oder ist da was faul? Sollte nicht der nette, wirklich viel passendere Cade der Gewinner hier sein?
Faking It
Hier geht es um Cade, der wie Bliss und Garrick nach Philadelphia gezogen ist, um hier sein Glück zu finden. Was er findet ist aber eine deprimierend glückliche Bliss, die seine Laune immer wieder auf den Tiefpunkt bringt.
Als plötzlich eine hübsche, ausgeflippte Musikerin an seinem Tisch im Cafe sitzt und ihn bittet für Eltern den Freund zu spielen, macht er mit. Schließlich hat er auch keine Rolle bekommen und schon wochenlang nicht mehr geschauspielert.
Die Eltern von Max sind eigentlichc ganz nett, auch wenn sie sehr konservativ sind, aber Cade wickelt sie um den Finger. Und irgendwie Max gleich mit.
Aber so einfach bekommen die zwei nicht ihr Happy End.
Ganz tolle Liebesgeschichte mit Charakteren, die man ins Herz schließt.
Finding It
Kelsey ist in Budapest. Sie trinkt ihr Körpergewicht in Tequila und sucht sich jeden Abend was hübsches Einheimisches. Bis sie in einer Bar einen Typen sieht, der sich zum einen über sie lustig macht, sie aber zum anderen fasziniert. Er lässt sich nicht so leicht um den Finger wickeln und obwohl er offensichtlich von ihr angezogen wird, hält er sich immer zurück.
Kelsey bekommt bei ihrem nächsten Treffen etwas in ihr Glas gekippt und Hunt kümmert sich darum, dass sie in ein sicheres Hotelzimmer kommt und alles ausschlafen kann. Als sie am nächsten Morgen alleine aufwacht, ist sie komplett durch den Wind und steigt in den nächsten Zug nach Prag. Wo sie Hunt wieder trifft, der ihr ihr Handy zurück gibt. Ab da reisen die zwei gemeinsam und Kelsey lernt andere Dinge, die Spaß machen und Hunt geht aus sich heraus.
Bis zu viel aus der Vergangenheit über beide hereinbricht und die Beziehung ins wanken gerät.

Es ist ziemlich schnell ersichtlich, dass Hunt für Kelseys Vater arbeitet. Ich habe mich aber noch länger gefragt, ob der Junge am Brunnen nicht doch auch was mit Hunt zu tun hatte. Wie beim ersten Buch, ist man sich sicher, aber dann doch wieder nicht.
Keeping her
Leider ist das Buch ans Ende gepackt worden, statt dahin, wo es hingehört. Es bringt einen also etwas aus dem Takt wieder von Bliss und Garrick zu lesen - nachdem ich mich viel mehr für Cade/Max und Kelsey/Hunt begeistert habe. Aber spätestens nach der Landung in London kommt Schwung in die Geschichte.
Der gute Garrick ist nämlich nicht nur Engländer, sondern reicher Engländer. Und seine Eltern herrlich versnobbt. Vor allem seine Mutter macht Bliss das Leben nicht einfach.
Die Geschichte ist lustig, aber auch ein wenig dramatisch, weil genau so Beziehung zu Bruch gehen.
Alles in allem, kann ich die Bücher aus vollem Herzen jedem empfehlen, der schöne Liebesgeschichten mit Tiefe mag! Fünf Sterne!

Excellent boxed set for anyone who is a fan of the new NA genre. I fell in love with Carmack's writing with the LOSING IT series, and don't plan to stop there. Whatever else she writes...I'll be there to read it.

Het eerste boek vond ik nog enigszins leuk, en had ik ook vrij snel uit. De andere twee daar moest ik mijzelf echt toezetten om verder te lezen.

The beginning of the first and second book were incredibly, outrageously funny and had me laughing several times. The third book had a funny bit somewhere in the middle. On the whole though, for me the full novels were just okay stories, nothing more, nothing less. The novella, as well as the bonus material, was a bit of a bore, to be honest... (The title given on Goodreads didn't match the Kindle edition I read, by the way, as the order of the books was different: Losing It, Faking It, Finding It, the novella Keeping Her and then the bonus material).

Absolutely loved the whole series!!!!! A british teacher with sexy accent??? YES, PLEASE!!! hahahaha and if he looks like Cora Carmack described him...HELL YES!!! hahahahhaa But I gotta say tho, that sometimes Bliss made me want to hit her!!! So clumsy!!! And the vase???? ughhhh!!!!!
Even though this set totally deserved 5 stars I'm giving it only four because of the ending...I want more!!!! I was like....what the.... I so needed more information and a different ending...anyways, I loved it!

all I can say is that this series is great, I would have liked to see bliss and Cade restore their friendship but it was all went well for each character in their story

Who doesn't love a good romance? These books were a great combination of drama, romance and fun. I smiled, I laughed, I got a little misty (at times), but I was always happy in the end.
