There's a popular expression online - "the money is in the list". Does that mean you should build a list and spam people with offer after offer? Heck no. I say that the relationship is in the list.
An email list can be a vital asset to your online business — as long as you treat it with care. Subscribers are more than a collection of email addresses. They're a group of people who have a specific interest in your niche topic. Treat them right and you’ll create a lifelong asset.
In "Email Marketing Blueprint" you'll learn what Steve Scott has done to build engaged email lists that exceed 90,000 total subscribers.
This book is great if you want to know how to start and build up a mailing list.
Steve Scott establishes just how important the mailing list is. He's had many internet businesses and used mailing lists through all of them. He has implemented mailing lists successfully for his business, so as a novice it makes sense to start with his guidance. Just keep in mind this takes some work. But I expect by following the guidelines in the book the path will be more direct.
I won't lie, I'm a huge fan of Steve Scott's books. I own a lot of them. If you're considering building an email list and marketing to your members, you should get this ebook. It's short but stuffed with info you need and action steps to take. Other books may be longer or more expensive, but none are better.
That you Steve for the ease of writing and detailing everything step by step like if you were driving the reader by the hand. Jam-packed of knowledge and strategies cover to cover. Changed my complete perspective of how to do email marketing. Thank you !!!
A Great Guide to/through the Email Marketing world
This guide is straightforward and to the point. It is very well organized. The author has an friendly, authoritative tone; that is, no arrogance, but a kind of I've-been-down-this-road-several-times and this is what I found that works best tone that is easy and pleasant to read. I am researching email providers, marketing ideas, etc., and this guide has certainly taught me a lot. I would recommend it to 1) anyone starting an email marketing strategy, 2) anyone who has already dipped their toes in the email marketing waters but aren't getting results, 3) anyone who feels like they have lots of email "things" to do or have done, but don't have a good grasp on the big picture. This guide will teach, motivate, organize, and give you an overall view of how all of your email efforts work together.
I love how Steve Scott started off by saying relationship is in the list, not the money. I was feeling unmotivated with building my list. Because building a list really takes time and you feel unmotivated when there aren't many people on your list. Hearing him say that relationship is the most important thing gets me motivated to connect with my list again. Since my list is small now, it's a good time to get to know your list at this time.
I also love how the book shares three different strategies for building your list - pure profit, authority building and hybrid. Depending on your needs and personality, you choose one that suits you. My favorite part is the section "12 Types of Email Marketing Messages". It gives me ideas on writing my future emails.
Step by helpful step he outlines how to set up the software, write the content, and drive traffic to your email list. While not a masterpiece of literature this specific and wonderfully brief book is a great start for a new email list builder.
