I really wanted to love this book. Good concept, but to me, something was missing from the story. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I'm left feeling blah. And the ending... It just kind of ended. No cliffhanger, but there was no closure. I can only assume there will be a second book that will pick up where this one ended.

This review is less than informative, but that's all I've got.

BLOG TOUR Oct 11 - Oct 15

Run away from past experiences and humiliation if only for a few moments is what most of us are going to do when life becomes to difficult to bear. That's exactly what Leah chose to do.
But instead of a lonely life like she was hoping for she gets a new addition of very good looking, smart ass guy friend who teaches her that life is to short to let it just pass by doing what the society is expecing you to do.
Introverted and independent Leah meets Drew while doing the only thing she can escape to, to find some freedom, namely surfing.
Will Drew with all eccentricities convince Leah to live the life to its fullest or will it stay the way it was before?
That and more questions highlight the story of redirecting your life, redefining yourself.
Break My Fall is a well written story with lots of funny and intense moments.
I'd recommend it to all fans of Fear of Falling, Hopeless, Catch My Fall, The Edge of Never, My Favourite Mistake or Pushing the Limits.

**KIM'S REVIEW**

“Surfing is how I find peace. It’s the purest form of escape I’ve ever known.”

“I’m on a wave. It’s powerful. Rough. Almost violent. It pushes me. Lifts me. I’m free.”

The way this book starts off it had me sucked in. Leah ran away from her home in Florida for the summer because of something her ex-boyfriend Kevin did. She just wanted to go somewhere no one knew her or knew about what happened. She ends up in South Carolina where she can surf and works at a surf shop. She ends up bumping into this man Drew a few times and though he seems harmless she is always in protection mode for fear of him possibly recognizing her and having ulterior motives.

“With the betrayal and pain so fresh, the rational me lost to the emotional me every time. I was in complete protection mode.”

So when Drew saves her butt big time, his only condition is that she goes out on a date with him. She’s weary but gives into him. Turns out Drew had survived a plane crash three years ago, which now leads him to live his life differently.

"All I’m saying is…things change. Things you have no control over. That’s life. But you can control how you react to them, and that’s the meaning of life. You live how you want to live.”

Unfortunately, this is where the story starts to fall a little flat for me. Drew is mysterious but weird with the way he acts with her. He’ll be there one day and gone the next. It makes her feel like she did something wrong and start not to trust him but the minute she sees him she gives right into him. For someone who had something done to her that made her feel she needed to leave home. It’s odd that she would just give into him so easily. Yes he also has a secret but when he finally tells her what it is, it’s nothing she can't handle.

While yes her secret was something serious and shouldn’t be taken lightly, I just felt like it should’ve been played up more. I definitely needed more out of it. Also the way she described how she felt towards Kevin was intense but then the next minute her friend would tell her something about him and she’d feel bad for him. It just didn’t add up. When she finally tells Drew what happened to her his reaction was: “It could have been so much worse.” Yes he does explain why he initially said that but shouldn’t a man who is supposedly falling for you be more supportive? It was hard for me to connect to these characters and their relationship. I honestly didn’t really start to like Drew until the end of the book.

While there is no cliffhanger, from what I understand there will be a second book which continues their story. I am interested to read it and see where the author takes these characters and their development.

~I received an ARC from Book Enthusiast Promotions in exchange for an honest review~

I went into this book having no idea what to expect. I wanted to just try reading a book without taking a peak at the blurb or other readers' reviews. This book happened to blow me away. It was so well written and the characters developed so much that I have to recommend this to everyone.

Leah is looking for an escape after her ex-boyfriend basically throws her reputation in the trash, so she grabs her stuff and heads north of Florida to South Carolina. And this is where she meets Drew. *sigh* I could not get enough of Drew. He's so driven, funny, and cute. He's exactly what Leah needs when her life is one big storm. Drew pushes her so much and I love the bond they form. I love his outlook on life. And I like that he's a risk taker. He really helps Leah see that what happened to her will not be the end of her.

Overall, I have to give this book 4 stars out of 5 stars. It was impressive how well the author connected with the characters and how the author got the audience to bond with the characters.

Leah moves to Charleston, SC for the summer to escape after a nasty break up; she meets Drew -- am intriguing 25 yr old hottie and a relationship with him ensues.

I liked the banter between Leah and Drew and that's probably the only thing I liked... that, and that there were next to no typos or serious grammar issues.

Without spoilers it's hard to get into what I didn't like in this book. Drew's choice of "profession" isn't exactly the most reputable. He did in fact lie to her about what he does. But she follows him at various points as he pursues his profession. And that's where things get wonky for me.

This didn't exactly end on a cliffhanger, but there are some issues that are unresolved... the ending was rushed. And the title (No Limits) indicates that there might be a second book or that this is part of a series somehow. Although I'm not really sure what the title means exactly.

There is not a great deal of serious drama in this book... no angst or real emotional pull. I felt for her situation, but didn't really feel her pain and that's an issue with the quality of writing, not the situation that the author devised for the character.

This was like 2.5 for me.

The blurb sucked me in, and I wanted to know more, and by the end, there was still more of some things that I wanted. I wanted more to the final conflict. I wanted more between Drew and Leah. Honestly, the whole book fell flat. There was too much of one thing (Drew's money making and the over explanation of it), and not enough other things. As another review said, it just went along and sort of ended. It says this can be read as a stand-alone, but will there be more?

I didn't like Drew at all. Instead of a free spirit, he came off as immature and selfish. Sure, he'd lived through something traumatic, but he seemed almost to use that as a crutch. He needed to grow up and do a little more. I didn't really like Leah either. She claimed she had walls around herself, but she let Drew in. And just who bails someone out of jail after just seeing them around a few times? Just no.

The blurb on this one sucked me in and at the time I was really really looking to fall in love with this book. That just didn't happen. First off, I want to state that the writing wasn't the problem, nor were there glaring editing problems. So kudos to this new-to-me-author on that round.

However, I found it hard to connect with these characters and I felt there was too much missing information or that the timeline didn't flow well in explaining things past or projecting things future. There just didn't seem to be any glue holding this story together. The "no gambling if you never lose" excuse never really made much sense to me, along with a bunch of unbelievable hurdles to overcome.

'Nuff said -- it just didn't work for me.

This book had me at the first page. It was fascinating to learn about Leah and her new life in Charleston, but it was even more exciting when she met the sexy Drew. Although she didn't take much notice of him to start with, once she gave in, the attraction was instantaneous - doing something about it was the difficult part!! Drew manages to get Leah to live a little and introduces her to his way of life. Can Leah escape the past that shes running from, and will she let Drew in to help her? This book is amazing and is a must read!!

Writing was okay in terms of errors, but I had to force myself to finish this one. Overly dramatic Leah and unrealistic Drew. His "job" is laughable and the fact that she's supposed to be somewhat intelligent with a set career path and doesn't see an issue with his lack of job and how he makes money is disturbing. And then to think she's going to pay for school the same way. Tried to make it steamy in some ways but had to call a penis "it".

This was a thoroughly great read. I enjoyed reading about Leah and why she had to run away. Throw in a sexy hunk called Drew & this made a lovely story.
I've read plenty of stories where boy & girl with tragic problems meet & help one another. This was different. It certainly had me thinking.. About what? Well you will need to read to find out.

***I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review***

I’ll be honest: I’m a little torn about this book. I really enjoyed the first half or so but then something changed for me and I was a little disappointed toward the end. This has nothing to do with the book itself so I mean no offense to the author; it’s just my point of view on something and probably other people won’t even give it a second thought.
I can’t really say what it is because it would spoil the reading experience, since the mysterious side of Drew is what kept me reading at first. All I can say is that I really liked Drew from the moment he entered the story; I thought he was sexy, funny and intriguing. I loved his new outlook on life – living to the fullest and doing only what makes him happy. He quickly became my hero.
That was until he tells, or actually shows Leah what he does for a living and my jaw hit my lap while I thought: “Is he for real?”. Okay, this is fiction and fiction is not supposed to be real, right? However, although I can accept weird situations in fantasy or similar genres (I read Twilight and loved it, but obviously didn’t expect Edward Cullen to be real) when I read contemporary I sort of expect things to be at least a little close to reality. And it was disappointing to find out that the person I’d come to admire for his cool way of thinking and living turns out to be someone who’s basically got not goals. At first I hoped it was only a temporary thing, while he decided what he wanted from life, but when he said he had no intention of changing, the story went downhill. I am truly sorry, though, because I was really enjoying the story that far, especially the interactions between Leah and Drew.
Leah is a complex character who kept me hooked in the first part of the book and then made me frown toward the end. I was sorry for what happened to her and I couldn’t even try to imagine how hard it must have been for her to realize her perfect boyfriend was, in fact, a real jerk. I thought she was really strong and I really admired her. When Drew came into her life, I liked reading how he made her loosen up little by little, even though she didn’t pull the walls down immediately. Then Drew’s secret is revealed and she changes too, getting involved with him without questioning his lifestyle too much. Maybe it’s because I wouldn’t do that, but I found it annoying that she could be so naïve and accept it without so much as a raised eyebrow.
I had a real problem with Kevin, Leah’s ex-boyfriend. I couldn’t really understand what kind of game he was playing: Did he do it or didn’t he? When she meets him in the last few chapters and he acts like a jerk, why is he doing it? What is he trying to prove? What did he want to talk to her about? Did he want to go back with her or did he simply want to apologize? I personally would’ve liked to get these questions answered and understand more about him; I know he’s not the hero but he’s still an important character in the whole story, especially since he comes back in the second part of the book doing something nasty again (won’t say what) but it’s not clear whether he did it or someone else did and blamed him. And, if I could add a personal preference, I wouldn’t have minded Drew punching him in the face just before he left. :D
Anyway, in spite of my personal view on that specific topic I won’t say, I can’t say the book isn’t worth a read. The writing is good, the characters are well described and the dialogues feel real. It’s an enjoyable and rather quick read – I read it in one sitting. Once I got inside the story, especially until I found out Drew’s secret, it kept me turning pages and read just one more chapter – till I reached the end.
I think you should give this book a chance. You may end up loving it, if you’ve got nothing against… well, what Drew does for a living, because the story is good and it’s filled with enough tension to keep you turning pages. The chemistry between the two characters is very strong from the beginning, even though there are some ups and downs, but these actually make it even more interesting. And Drew, in spite of everything, is a babe.

Given by the author for an honest review for her Blog Tour

Break my fall is a great romantic novel with much mystery and intrigue! It doesn’t have the heavy dark tragedies to make us cry our eyes out and I really really enjoyed that!!!

It’s about 2 young people meeting and falling in love, instead of having a summer fling. Both of them have their scars, their wounds and both of them have different coping mechanisms. But they fit together..It’s a great couple, indeed!

The prologue really intrigued me, to be honest..It twisted my mind in a very positive and unpredictable manner..It was very unorthodox to start the novel that way, but I loved it!..I don’t want to spoil the fun for you so I’m going to leave it at that..The Prologue was intriguing and very refreshing and I would like to congratulate the author for making the choice to write it like that!!

The story is actually very good..When you read the Synopsis, perhaps you’ll feel : “Ok It will probably be a good book..Not that I haven’t read something similar but ok”..However, the reality is entirely different!! The story was provocative and it really sets your mind in a different path and way of thinking..It makes you reconsider many opinions you may have developed in the past..It was very refreshing to read…Plus, it is very creative and different from other novels.

Break my fall has that special something we all look for in a book! I recommend it without hesitation!

But as always I would like to state a couple of things about our main characters..

>>Leah is very inspiring, to say at the least..The fact that she decided to just go away for the summer and regroup is quite a bit admirable, in my opinion..She is a force of nature! I LOVED her reactions..She’s very entertaining and so very real….Her reality and truth really punch you in the gut..Her wound isn’t something we read a lot (at least not me) about. But I would like to congratulate the author this time for pinpointing her trauma that so many other women suffer from, as well. And I think Leah’s term for her situation is actually very accurate! Again, I would like to say more but since it’s not in the Synopsis, I don’t want to give any spoilers..This book deserves to be read properly..

>>Drew Drew…I have many objections and issues with him..He has had a traumatic experience in the past..A horrifying one, actually..So I really get the whole “different outlook of life” he has going on..I even understand him taking more risks and leaving his whole life back..Yeah it was THAT horrifying..It sure does give you perspective! But But But…I believe he has adopted a death wish or a survivor’s guilt or something..Living the way he does, making money the way he does..It would be ok, if he did it for fun..But it’s really not fun to him..More like a game…I understand him taking a U-Turn but everything and everyone should have limits, no matter how he sees life and all that..Anyway..I really liked him towards the few last chapters of the book..Up until then he was quite a bit cocky and a know-it-all, in my opinion..

Drew got better towards the end and but then the story got a whole other dimension and I was ready to get in there and kick someone’s ass repeatedly..That Kevin really brought out the violent version of me…

Of course, when the book ended, I was left speechless and I couldn’t believe the book had come to an end..The more you read the book the more addictive it became, to be honest..

I was given an ARC for an honest review...

Four Stars!! I really enjoyed this book. In some ways it was exactly what I thought it would be, but in others it went a totally different way. This is a book about learning from the past and not letting it dictate your future. It’s also about not letting anything dictate your future but you. Leah and Drew are great together, and I loved watching their relationship unfold.

Leah is fresh out of a bad break up and a traumatic experience at the beginning of this book. I have to admit that I was kind of frustrated with this at the beginning and the way it was making her act. When we find out the secret of her past, which thankfully is fairly early in the book, it was kind of hard for me to identify with her. After some thought I actually began to like her more and her personality. I loved the way she was with Drew. I loved how their love snuck up on her and came out of nowhere.

Drew is confident in everything he does and has a certain swagger to him. He is not lazy at all but just so laid back and almost lackadaisical, but it definitely works for him. I know this sounds contradictory to this last sentence but he also has a great sense of adventure with an amazing attitude about life. He is kind of a conundrum but in a good way. He has also suffered a traumatic event which we also learn early in the story that has definitely shaped his life. Drew lives a different life than most, but that is definitely what makes him, him.

I loved their story. I loved how it was not an instant relationship. I love that they kind of just fell into it. Yes Drew definitely showed interest in Leah, but did not relentlessly pursue her. One of the other things that was so different about this story that I liked was that we did not have to wonder about their pasts for over half of the story. They were both revealed fairly early. I know that the mystery of these things can add to a story but it seems we are always waiting to find out why a person is the way they are. This one we got to know very early in the story and I loved that. It was very refreshing for a change. The steam and sexual tension was great. There was definitely some sexual tension for a while, but it was worth the wait.

I recommend this book for anyone who loves a quick somewhat angsty, but mostly sweet read. There is some angst and frustration with both characters, but they grow through out the book. This story in some ways is your typical overcoming a traumatic event love story, but it was also more. Drew was not your typical alpha male who swept in and saved the day. He did save the day but in his own way, and Leah’s change in attitude helped to give us the ending as well.

"... life is nothing more than what’s around you at any time, and what you choose your life to be.” - Drew

Break My Fall is a nice quick read. It kept me turning the page well into the night. The characters were interesting and the story line flowed nicely.

At the end of Leah's junior year of college in Florida she not only catches her boyfriend Kevin cheating on her but learns that he posted nude pictures of her on the internet. Mortified, she decides to escape to Charleston, South Carolina to deal with her hurt and to surf. Surfing provides her a moment of freedom and comfort from her troubles. She rents a little apartment above the garage of a nice elderly couple and gets a job in a surf shop in town.

Just over three months ago, life was perfect. Then, suddenly, it was hell. I’d learned over the course of the summer that even though the Universe can throw your entire existence into a state of disorder without warning, it can just as easily put you right where you need to be. - Leah

When Drew, a guy that just keeps popping up in places she is, asks her to lunch, she decides to take a chance. As they begin to spend time together he slowly breaks down the protective barrier she has built up around her and introduces her to the art of counting cards.

Drew was risky, daring, even dangerous. All the things I didn’t need to be around. And I was loving every second of it. - Leah

As the summer begins to come to an end, she is faced with heading back to Florida to finish her senior year of college, she realizes that Kevin is more vindictive than she had ever imagined and now she was in danger of being seriously hurt.

“My life changed the first time I saw you. And you’ve changed it every day since. This is just the beginning for us. I didn’t think it was possible, but I love you now more than I did yesterday. There are no limits.” - Drew

This was a great debt novel by J.T. Cameron and I would love to read more about Leah and Drew because I think that there is a lot more story to be told. The story ended on a good note but the story is not over. It wasn't a cliffhanger but it didn't answer all of my questions.

Surfing is her reprieve. It gives her adrenaline, a sense of peace and freedom that she longed for…

Here she met Drew – who had his own tragedy in the past that made his priorities, goals and direction in life shift. He’s a risk-taker, daring and dangerous to her heart. All Leah wanted to do was to avoid him. But he seems to have a way of getting into her line of vision, and continuously coaxing her to come out of her shell.

Then one day, a reckless decision made by Leah allowed Drew to enter into her life, bit by bit, pieces by pieces – secrets and past were starting to unfold. They started to grew closer and to trust each other. Who won’t like Drew?? He’s smart, amazing, funny, determined, HOT and yes, he has tons of money he made out of using his brains. Although, all the while I though the action was going to start from there.

Nevertheless, just when things start to get cozy, Kevin returns and complicates her life even more. She was ready to return home, but after what her ex-boyfriend did, her future suddenly becomes something bleak.

Break My Fall is an interesting read about a girl who had experienced something no girl would ever like to undergo to. It was humiliating and terrible – not just for herself but for her family as well. There was nothing they could, or she could do but to go away and let it die down. Leah started out as a girl who likes to keep things to herself, thank goodness for Drew who was persuasive enough to get into her life and show her to live and trust once again.

Break My Fall by J.T. Cameron is your average boy meets girl love story, I'm afraid. It's an ok story, but it really doesn't grip you or draw you in.

Leah is trying to leave the unforgivable hurt and humiliation, thrown at her by someone she loved and trusted, behind; with the hopes that it'll all die down over the summer, before school starts again in August. She's travelled away from Florida to the coastal town of Charleston. She has her own apartment and a great job at a surf shop, and she finally feels like she can be herself, with no-one whispering behind her back.

Drew has a great outlook on life, live for the now. He's overcoming a traumatic event in his own life, and he's dealing with it the only way he knows how; doing what he wants, when he wants. He has a 'job' that makes him more than enough money to live on, he's doing ok, until he sees Leah, she intrigues him, and he wants to know more.

There were some really good parts to this book; Drew was an interesting character and his job was quite intriguing. I just felt that this could've been expanded upon, and a chapter from each characters point of view would've made for more in depth and interesting reading.

Leah seemed a bit young and naive although she was 20. Her reasons for leaving her home town were different to other books that I have read, and although traumatic, it just didn't sit right with me. I feel that this is also part of the story that could've been expanded, Leah talks of doing something to help victims, like herself, but doesn't actually do anything about it.

I read the entire book, but, to be honest, I just wanted to see how it ended. It wasn't a gripping read, although I think it could've been.

2.5 Stars.
After a recent scandal during her Junior year of college Leah decides she needs to take a break from her normal life, do something spontaneous. So she packs up her car with no destinations in mind to look for a place to lay low for the summer. Coming to a small beach town Leah finds a job at a surf shop, a small apartment over a garage, and a summer filled with plans of surfing. I liked Leah as a character. She does run off for the summer, but she is intent on going back to finish her last year of college and earn her degree. I thought she was a brave laid back character. Not overly funny or exciting but laid back and enjoyable.
Drew, ok Drew. See people talk about Leah running from her past but frankly I think Drew is the one running. He doesn't talk to his parents, or brothers anymore. He dropped out of college. He avoids questions about his past 10 times harder than Leah did. What he says is living life one day at a time, I found he was avoiding real life and floundering. I didn't like him as a character he was bland and aloft and didn't really seem to care about Leah as anything permit. Until the last chapter than he morphs into to his alter ego Alpha-romantic-I do have a personality guy. I just thought "what the heck happened?" "Where was this guy the rest of the book?" It was really confusing.
Also I thought the book ended at an odd spot. There obliviously is going to be another book in this series cause it just seems to stop. Not a cliffhanger but just cuts off almost in mid sentence.
Not sure if I'll continue with this series. Leah was enjoyable and I felt for her struggles and her betrayal. But it might not be enough to convince me to deal with more Drew.

Break My Fall by J.T. Cameron is an excellent book about a young woman who closes herself off from the world and changing her outlook on life unexpectedly. Leah is old woman who moved to Charleston from Florida. Leah was taken advantage of by the one person she thought she would feel forever with. Her boyfriend, Kevin showed the world their most intimate moments. Leah was humiliated and decided that the summer was the perfect time to get away from it all, where no one knew who she was until she had to return for her senior in college. Leah enjoyed surfing and between that and working she kept herself busy and away from people. Until Drew, a young man living in Charleston, knew he was attracted towards Leah. He had to see where it ended up. Leah closed herself off from people but especially any man trying to be with her but Drew was pursistant, although respectful. Drew wanted nothing more than to help Leah with whatever it was that she was dealing with. They both had their own secrets they wanted to keep but in order to get close to Leah, Drew had to be the one who spilled his first. Leah was shocked at his honesty and didn't really know how to take it. Break My Fall shows two young people who have been hurt in the past and don't want to pursue what is right in front of them. J.T Cameron shows write the pull Drew and Leah have towards each other very well. This book doesn't show the perfect love story, but it shows the truth on how hard relationships can be with a broken heart. J.T. Cameron did an excellent job with this book.

Break My Fall follows the life of Leah who leaves her town and goes somewhere to start a new life. There she makes some new friends and meets Drew.Drew loves taking risks and he's one of those people Leah wants to avoid. But somehow,he manages to break her walls,be with her and introduce her to a whole new world full of possibilities.

Break My Fall had a great concept but it felt like something was missing. The characters were okay and I really liked the author's writing. The plot was interesting and Leah was such a fascinating and intiguing character.Learning about her and her life was a great experience...if it can be described like that. Now Drew was something else.He was good as a character but I found it a bit hard to connect to his personality and understand his frustrating behavior.Sometimes,he was a bit selfish and I just didn't like him as much as I expected.

The story was a bit short and the book didn't exactly end with a cliffhanger but it felt like there were some things that were left unanswered.I assume everything will be a bit more clear when the second book comes out...And here I'm doubting myself by saying that this is supposed to be a stand alone. But that's not our point!

Break my fall was a quick and enjoyable read.Even though I didn't fall in love with it I would recommend it to fans of NA.

Break My Fall is a great contemporary romance that had me turning the pages. From the beginning, I wasn't sure what to think of Leah. I mean, she did something stupid and a bit rebellious, but it led her to Drew, in a weird sort of way. I wasn't sure what to make of the vibes I got from her at first, but ended up enjoying her as a character.

Drew...well let's just say, can I have him in my size please? He's funny, caring, spontaneous and he really grabbed my attention. I like how he's such a mystery and we only get glimpses of who he is and his past just a little bit at a time. It really draws out the intrigue.

I love how the relationship builds slowly for the two. Leah isn't really trusting, and considering what her jerk face of an ex did, I can't blame her. But Drew makes it hard to say no. (Good choice Leah, I wouldn't say no to that sexiness either. Just sayin')

Overall, Break My Fall is a fun, light read with just enough sizzle and piqued interest about the characters and how things would turn out. It's written in first person, Leah's POV and while I would have liked some insight into Drew and his head, I definitely had a great time getting wrapped up in this story.

We meet Leah, a young woman who ran to get a fresh start. She comes across a safe haven for her, makes some friends and tries to move on. Then Drew comes into her life. Now Drew, I LOVE! He is HILARIOUS, charming, witty, sweet, caring, quirky, he is just the total package, you will see when you read it. He is a care free spirit and goes with the flow. He opens Leah's eyes up to new possibilities in life. Together they go on neat adventures and Leah in return starts to find out some of Drew's secrets. Can Leah move on? can Drew make Leah forget and help her move on? I guess you will have to read and find out ;-) This book is pretty amazing! Must read.

Some quotes I Loved:

“What I mean is, life is nothing more than what’s around you at any time, and what you choose your life to be.”

“You’re a beach bum who doesn’t surf.”

“Nothing against it. It’s just never been on my list of places to go. I’ve never had a reason to come here, but now I have a great one.”

"My life changed the first time I saw you.” “And you’ve changed it every day since.”

Break My Fall blew me away with its unbelievably fascinating characters, all different from the next, the storyline was so well-developed, and the writing style was just fucking awesome. It's a story about finding yourself in the midst of losing who you were, of losing your comfort zone and your past life. It's about learning to live.

One of the most brilliant and thoughtful books I've read this year. Definitely recommended!

I liked this book, but I didn't really think that what happened to Leah was that bad. Her boyfriend was a total immature loser that cheated on her and took photos (that another chick stole off of his phone and posted everywhere). It stinks, sure, but it isn't the end of the world. In my head, I was thinking of much worse things that could have happened.
Drew is awesome. Loved his character, but it's a little unrealistic that he gets into a plane crash and then totally changes the way he sees everything in his life.
All in all, I thought it was a good read. I would have liked to have learned who really posted those photos and who did the most damage the second time around. The ex was still denying it till the end.

I found this in my Kindle and I DL it about 9 months ago, I wished I would have read it then. This story is full of every emotion one can have in their lives. This story was so great and I don't like how some reacted over the factor of playing 21, like your moral compass want let you love a book with playing cards(not cheating) in it!! This is a book, you should enjoy the story. I totally loved the sparks that come from Drew and Leah, you will be blown away from their story. The slow and steady feel of their story is believable and fun, and its not over top like some books are. I really enjoyed this book, and I highly recommend you read it and enjoy it too!!!! Thanks for great book!!!

This book was a delightfully fun read, while it handled a very real and growing problem it was done in a tasteful way and not a shove it in your face way. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the development of the story throughout the book. I would recommend anyone that loves romance read this book.

Leah comes to town and knocks Drew's would view on its ass, showing him that everyone can continue to grow and change and learn more about rolling with the punches of live.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going :)

Leah`s ex-boyfriend humiliates her and she leaves Tampa, her hometown, for the summer.

The first line is just something that came into my mind, I don`t know what I would have done. But the fact is, Leah leaves when it gets hard. So does Drew every time things get difficult for him.

Leah and Drew meet and help each other heal.

Nice and interesting story.

So I'm giving this one a 3.5 stars. Like another review I read, it was just lacking something. One review said they loved Drew, but I think he was what was lacking. To me I couldn't attach myself to him emotionally. I don't know if I missed it or not but we also never got much of a description of Leah, so even though we were "in" her head I never connected with her image in my head. Storyline was interesting though and may or may not look for the next one.

4 EASY READ STARS! I enjoyed reading this quick light read. Leah is a strong young woman who is looking for a fresh start from her past. Then she meets witty, charming, quirky, HOT Drew. He gives her a new way of looking at life "What I mean is, life is nothing more than what's around you at any time, and what you choose your life to be." He opens her eyes and she learns some of his secrets. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for light quick read. ~ Leslie

Meh. There were parts of this that I really liked, but also a ton of missed opportunities. Every scene that I watched unfold thinking something huge was about to happen (with the pit boss, with Kevin at Liz and Travis' townhouse, etc.), fell flat. I just felt like the author was focusing on the wrong things and ignoring the stuff she came up with that could have made the book great. I might still read the second one, though, if there is one.
