After landing in jail, Jack Gimlin is bailed out by a mysterious industrialist who offers him the job of a lifetime...tracking and trapping the world's most famous cryptids, who also happen to be portals to alternate dimensions. Meanwhile, the fur flies when Cryptozoic Man learns the fate of a loved one during a cosmic tea party.
Walter Flanagan is a comic book store manager, reality television personality, podcaster, comic book artist, actor and songwriter. Flanagan is a long-time friend of Kevin Smith, and (according to Smith's book Silent Bob Speaks) it was Flanagan who had turned Smith onto comic books.
Flanagan is co-host of the "Tell 'Em Steve-Dave!" podcast with longtime friends Bryan Johnson and Brian Quinn. Flanagan is also the lead star in AMC's Comic Book Men, which premiered in February 2012.
The first issue was incomprehensible, badly-written, and pointless. Yet I read the second issue out of morbid curiosity and because, hey, it's 24 pages long. How much of my life can that really waste? Not too much, but guess what? Turns out that it's incomprehensible, badly-written, and pointless. Big surprise!
Um... what? I keep hoping something will make sense, but I really think this is one of those incidents where some level of (questionable) fame allowed someone to publish something that never should have seen the light of day.
