Book # 2.5 of the Consequences series:

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aleatha Romig comes the much-anticipated second companion to the suspenseful thriller about secrets and deception, passion and love, and choices and consequences.

Truth is relative.

By delivering the consequences, Anthony has proven he is a man of his word. With one promise complete, he must face the truth of his emotions regarding Claire Nichols. Is it too late? Can a man who had never been forgiven accept forgiveness? Can that man forgive?

Not a total re-write, this companion explores the thoughts of the man who discovers that the truth is not always what it seems.

Secrets exposed.

As past sins and motivations are revealed, Behind His Eyes Truth explores the recurring questions: What was Tony thinking? Who can he trust? Through significant scenes and behind-the-scenes moments, learn how Tony’s well-designed existence is incomplete.
The acquisition of a soul.

Experience the journey into the mind of the man who slowly realizes that there is more to life than money and power. Witness his thoughts as his control is not only challenged but lost, and as he comes to terms with the new truth.

For the avid reader of the Consequences series, it is recommended that this companion be read after Consequences, Truth, Convicted, Revealed, and Behind His Eyes Consequences.
Behind His Eyes Truth, for more insight into the man who:

“Once upon a time, signed a napkin that he knew was a contract. As an esteemed businessman, he forgot one very important rule. He forgot to read the fine print. It wasn’t an acquisition to own another person as he’d previously assumed. It was an agreement to acquire a soul.”

This is going to be short and sweet.

Who needs sleep when you get a notification that a copy of Behind His Eyes - Truth is on your Kindle @ 12:07am?? Not me! Truth is my favorite book in the trilogy so to relive some of it's events and then some via Tony's POV = HEAVEN!

I appreciate the fact that this isn't your typical ploy by the author to sell more books by retelling the same story via male character's POV. I never once felt like I was rereading 'Consequences'/'Truth' when reading books 4 & 5 of this series. Loved getting Tony's perspective on certain behind the scenes events and especially enjoyed watching him interact with his friends. It showed his vulnerable side.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - if you are a fan of the series, 'Behind His Eyes' books are an absolute MUST! And that, my friends, is the TRUTH.

Cheers!

Welcome to the Dark Side - Part 2

“You can’t lose everything until you have everything to lose.”

During the book “Truth”, Tony got everything he wanted in his life before he even realized that he wanted them.

Claire managed to get out of prison with the help of her friends and miserable Tony has found a purpose in his life:

-He had to win Claire back.
-He had to grovel.
-He had to say “I am sorry” and admit that he was wrong to his best friends.
-He had to beg Claire to come back without scaring her and without kidnapping her and locking her in her room. Without offering her a contract on a paper napkin.
-He had to bargain for his happiness. Not for his fortune and his billions worth companies.
-And he had to take it easy with his revenge, i.e. he had to stop ordering murderers to kill people!

It was a pleasure this time for me diving into Tony’s mind.
It was a pleasure seeing this powerful and arrogant man who had never said “please” in his life, now pleaded with Claire. Begging her to accept him back and meaning it with the most sincere emotions.
I loved seeing that Claire was winning personal battles and Tony was really astonished and pleased.

Until Tony lost everything again. And he found them at an isolated tropical island.

Obviously this book is not a standalone and if you are reading it, you already know what happened between Claire and Tony.

Highly recommended for all the series fans!

BEHIND HIS EYES—TRUTH is the continued journey inside the mind of Tony Rawlings...
...who one day made,
“…….an agreement to acquire a soul.”
In this insightful journey we gain a fascinating, in-depth knowledge of the inner most thoughts and emotions of Tony at key moments in the story. Important scenes are explored and expanded upon, clarity is given to certain moments...

The pearl necklace melted my heart... again. “My sign of commitment.”

“…his love wasn’t all wine and roses.” Far from it!!

Tony promised there’d be consequences and, for Claire we know the consequences were far reaching. But what about Tony?? What are the consequences for him? What is the Truth of the past, the present, and the future???

Like many others, I know the story and how it plays out. I know how it ends in it's entirety but as time goes by, one forgets what happened when? Who knows what and when, and at what stage secrets are known and revealed??? And to get it all from the perspective of Tony is simply a gift; an extra piece of book magic for all fans of the series.
“You can’t lose everything until you have everything to lose.” So very, very true!!
Aleatha Romig weaved an epic world of multi-layered characters in an intense unique story that captivated my imagination and my heart. This authors eloquent style and writing finesse is simply wonderful. Behind His Eyes-Truth is a wonderful addition to the Consequences series adding further layers.... Mr Rawlings bewitched me with his charisma and all powerful being. I don’t think I’ll ever have enough of Tony. I'll always LOVE this series. I'll always want more.... Can't wait for Behind His Eyes-Conviction.

This quote gets me in the heart, right in the feels, every time I read it...

Just Beautiful

*** This book is a companion, and it's the intention of the author for it to read only after experiencing the ENTIRE CONSEQUENCES SERIES.……

Consequences series is the most intriguing series for me. It is so dark and psychologically thrilling. I felt so stressed and overwhelmed while reading the first book, Consequences. I have to admit it is the hardest novel I’ve ever read and when I finished, it not only left me stunned, but also drained me emotionally. It literally felt like someone kicked me in the stomach.

No words could describe how much I loathed Anthony Rawlings in the first book. He had done very bad things and a lot of damage to many people, especially Claire. He kidnapped her, stole her life, manipulated her into doing what he ordered, turned her into a submissive person. Moreover, he had abused her both physically and mentally. (He once hit her brutally and caused her in a coma for two weeks.) But most of all, he set her up for attempted murder. As a result, she was arrested and sentenced to seven years in prison.

But then Claire received pardon from the Governor of Iowa. She was released from prison after serving fourteen months. And this is where the second book, Truth, begins. In Truth, Tony had tried to win her back and told her that he had never stopped loving her. The story is mostly told from Claire’s point of view so I couldn’t be sure whether Tony truly loved Claire or not. Had he really changed? Could she possibly forgive him for what he had done to her? When I finished the second book, I found that there were some unanswered questions. I was uncertain about his intention and afraid he might be up to something. Could he let go of the past? Was he still ‘the man of his word’?

And I made the right decision to read this companion, Behind His Eyes - Truth. Here I got all the answers to the above questions. In this book, I knew all Tony’s inner thoughts and how much he loved Claire. He finally came to realize that he was ready to forget about the past and the vendetta. And yes, he truly loved her! He couldn’t change what he had done but he genuinely regretted everything.

Could she see his pain? Yes, he was responsible for her consequences and pain that she'd endured, but he had pain, too. With all his heart he wanted to make them both forget it all—the pain, the past, everything.

Tony had given Claire a life with everything and then had taken it away—for the sake of vendetta. In that process, he'd lost everything—everything he never realized he wanted. After she was gone, he still had the money, the estate, and the prestige, yet his life was as empty as the envelope in his hand. The vengeance had not only punished the people on their list, but it had punished him, taken away his everything.

Was this what it was like to truly love someone? Did it mean more than a promise of obedience and togetherness? Did it also mean allowing yourself to be vulnerable?

Thoughts weren't forming with any kind of reasoning. The only thing Tony knew, with one hundred percent certainty, was that he wanted her. He wanted her more than he wanted air. If she wanted that too, all walls were down. Could she handle it? Could she handle him—the real him? It was now or never. No more pretenses, no holding back. This would be the real him, raw and uncensored. Claire would either run for her life or be his for eternity. It was too late to turn back.

Tony loved Claire more than he could articulate; however, they both knew, his love wasn't all wine and roses. He was damaged. Chalk it up to a screwed-up childhood, blame it on tragedies—the cause was irrelevant. Tony was a sick son-of-a-bitch who had certain requirements. Claire needed to decide if she was willing to submit to his requirements and follow his rules. This was her last out, the last chance. If she didn't run now, he would never let her go.

I will end my review with one of my favorite quotes from this book.

"I know that I love you more today. You, my dear, have taught me what love truly is—and what it is not."

*Warning - before reading this book, make sure that you have read the first three books of the series as this book is full of spoilers!*

So, obviously, this is Tony's POV for Truth. As is mentioned, it's not really a full book but a companion. If you were to read this book, you would be confused. Especially because it's told in coordinating chapters and not all the chapters are included.

(the two above paragraphs are taken from my review for Tony's POV for Consequences since the same thing applies for this book.)

Well, I just have to say that I heart this book so much more than the previous one because this is the book where Tony starts changing. I love that "moment" where everything starts too. Tony is so freaked out and it was fantastic being in his head.

I do have to admit that his seeing so much "red" is a bit disconcerting but he gets an A+ for keeping it under control.

description

The dream scene was very interesting too...it's still a bit of a befuddlement but I think I'm more in Tony's camp on this one.

Getting to read Tony's thoughts on Claire's condition was priceless....all his emotions and how they grew from there was amazing to read.

And the "envelope"...I LOVE that!

description

But...I have the same ol' complaint:

nevertheless - 21, nonetheless 8. 'Nuff said.

Overall, I feel so much better after reading this book than I did when reading his POV for Truth. I'm also glad that AR added in a chapter from Convicted...that was really needed. I can't wait to read the next one!

Recommendation:

If you're a fan of this series, you have to read this! Getting inside Tony's mind isn't always a bad thing!

description
Favorite quotes:

“Then, my boy, you failed. They took my family and now you’ve allowed them to take yours. That empty envelope and your empty life are your consequences.”

♥ “To you, the only person in this world who can keep me on my toes.”

♥ “If I didn’t want to see that phone before, I sure as hell do now.”

♥ “I finally figured out that the person I was the most upset with was me. For the first time in years—yes, more than three, you know that now—I’d lost track of you.” His volume increased. “My God, you were gone!”

♥ "Claire stared at the ring for the longest time. When she looked up, she replied, “I loved this ring once, but I need to be honest. I think I love it more today.”

He pulled her close. “I know that I love you more today. You, my dear, have taught me what love truly is—and what it is not.”

Tony, Tony, Tony.......I ♥ you once again!! The brilliant Aleatha made me read Behind His Eyes - Consequences and I had to hate you all over again. But after reading BHE- Truth, you have fallen in my good graces again and will now stay there forever. I will not have to remember you as that evil man that I wanted to kill.

Reading from your prospective is so addicting Tony. To see how you changed, what you were thinking, what you were feeling, is like a drug. You are my ecstasy and I can't wait for my next fix...BHE- Convicted. I must also say that I love how you really see Claire now. She truly is the only woman who mystified you, charmed you and captivated you. Bravo for you that you saw the light!!

I will tell you that my heart broke for you at the end Tony. When Claire left and you didn't know why, I saw that you really have a soul.

Then that fanfreakingtastic epilogue....yours and Claire's connection...I'm weeping again, it was just so perfect. You and Claire are perfection!!

5 stars! Behind His Eyes-Truth was everything I wanted and more!

I’m usually not a big fan of alternate POV releases on books I’ve already read. It often feels like the same book all over again with only slight differences. The BHE installments are so worth it, especially following the Consequences series where there were so many twists and turns. I learned so much from these and it answered a lot of my lingering questions. Any time you can get into the head of a man like Tony Rawlings, it is a gift. So for that I say to Aleatha...

 photo giphy6_zps1edfbc35.gif

During the Consequences series we got to know Tony Rawlings and the mind f*cks he became notorious for. Tony gave us all countless reasons to despise him. I know I did from the instant Clare woke up in the suite. I hated him and wished for his death. Then he lured me in, I sort of felt sorry for him then I hated him again...
 photo anigif_enhanced-buzz-7195-1384555761-10_zpsfac1335f.gif

...yet the remaining 37% of me loved him desperately !

Behind His Eyes Truth is written completely from Tony’s POV whereas Truth (the original version was from mostly Claire’s POV). Being in Tony’s head was exciting, frustrating and reaffirming all at the same time. We learned more about the motives behind his games, how he rationalized the consequences he handed out, got the inside scoop on his plans with Catherine, and that sadly he wasn’t as innocent as I wanted him to be. It turns out that many things were as they appeared but nobody thought Tony was perfect…right?

"Then somehow in this totally screwed-up world, when all was said and done, she’d taken him back."

My favorite part was discovering how genuine his love for Claire was and how early on it began. This was a fact I wasn’t sure I believed until he confirmed it himself. Another favorite was how important the contents of his “envelope” and what it symbolized became to him.

"He just knew, for the first time in his life, Anthony Rawlings was willing to risk public scrutiny to have what he wanted most. What mattered to him above anything else—the contents of his envelope. The problem was making her realize that."

Letting his grandfather’s vendetta go and earning Claire’s love and trust became everything to him.

"Standing beneath a canopy of vegetation was his dream, his life, and the contents of his envelope."

He vowed not to manipulate or coerce her, he wanted her to want him completely and without reservation. Yes, Tony was still Tony, but a better and more irresistible version.

“I’m sorry.”
Their tongues united and her radiating warmth pulled him closer. Breaking their seal for only a second, Tony replied, “No, I’m sorry.”

And sometimes that’s all it takes…

Something to know about this book. It is not a standalone, rather it is a companion to the Consequences Series. You would need to read the entire series of Consequences to understand this book.

One thing I love about Aleatha is her ability to write the entire Consequences series and then turn around and write this companion series Of Consequences Behind His Eyes All from Tony's Point of View. She keeps you intrigued, She has got everything together and the story follows amazingly. There are no hiccups at all where things do not make sense. She has brought things together from Tony's point of view Beautifully.

In this Book we get more from Tony's point of view and we start off with Claire and her pardon. We see first hand in the mind of the controller how it was for him to not be in control and finding out weeks later about Claire's pardon sends Tony on a spiral of trying to gain his control back.

I loved getting the parts from Truth in Tony's point of view. He is the Most intense man I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. In this one we get so much more intensity from Tony. We see just how manipulated he truly is. Watching him come undone was remarkable in itself. In the end watching Tony actually have feelings and the change that comes to him was amazing. He truly does have a heart and you know he truly does love Claire. He will stop at nothing to prove to her that he does truly love her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her as his wife.

I can not wait for the next installment and some more of being inside of Tony's head

I do like to read what Tony's thoughts are, however these "behind his eyes" books are a bit too long. It recaps chapters and dialogues that are almost the same as in the actual books.
But, still good to know his pov.

Part of The Consequences Series that must be read in order:
Consequences (Consequences, #1) by Aleatha Romig Behind His Eyes - Consequences (Consequences, #1.5) by Aleatha Romig Truth (Consequences, #2) by Aleatha Romig Behind His Eyes - Truth (Consequences, # 2.5) by Aleatha Romig Convicted (Consequences, #3) by Aleatha Romig Revealed The Missing Years (Consequences, #4) by Aleatha Romig Beyond the Consequences (Consequences #5) by Aleatha Romig

ARC received for honest review and blog tour.
I think it's safe to say that Aleatha Romig could rewrite the phone book and I'd be all over that like a moth to a flame, baby!!
I mean how many authors can basically rewrite a story from another's POV and make you feel like you are reading it for the first time? And she isn't even writing the entire story, yet I felt like I got a whole new one.

Behind His Eyes-Truth is Tony's POV from certain time points taken from Truth. You would think knowing the story already I'd be like 'okay this is cool' but noooooo...I was reading this like I never heard the story before. I love, love, love getting in the mind of Tony!! Have I mentioned

Dude is crazy scary

he'll shock the shit out of you

and yet, he'll make you fall in love with him

So basically all those emotions you felt when you read Truth, you're going to feel them again.

When I first read Consequences I coined Aleatha as an evil genius and I stand by that title still. She knows how to suck a reader in and keep you wanting more.

And more is definitely what I want!!

Haha, see what I did there?

CONSEQUENCES FANS!!! This is Tony's POV!!

You’ve experienced the CONSEQUENCES, you’ve learned the TRUTH, now you know who was CONVICTED...the time has come to see it from TONY’S point of view!

Each novella will be a collection of significant scenes, from each book, of the CONSEQUENCES Series. These will not be full length novels and won’t retell the entire series—only significant scenes, and because you asked for it...Behind His Eyes will also contain timelines and family trees.

It has been said that to truly understand a person, one must walk a mile in their shoes. BEHIND HIS EYES will be the rare opportunity to step into Anthony Rawlings’ Gucci loafers and experience the Consequences from his perspective.

This series wasn't just read. It was experienced. And seeing these scenes in Tony's eyes... in his words... well, it's just perfection.

In books 1 - 3 and then the first POV installment, I struggled with my love of Tony. That did not exist in this installment. I knew that loving him would not be easy and that no matter what he did the actions of his past would always cloud my vision... but there is just something about him that I can't get enough of.

For those that loved this series, for those that couldn't fathom how anyone could love Tony... the answers are in these pages.

This book made me fall in love with Tony all over again. It was so good to read this book from his POV. What I found with this book is that Aleatha has made you understand a bit more of Tony and everyone else in the other book, the connection he had with Claire and the struggles he has throughout the book amazing to read and you feel every emotion, every fear and every angst that he goes through, yes there are some of the old traits of Tony in this book but you also see him struggle with the way he used to be and the way he treated Claire. I also loved the new Claire, the way she was around the old Tony and the new Tony was refreshing, it was also endearing. I felt that Tony grew up in a since that he realized that his life was not the same without Clair and how he panicked when he didn't know where she was after he learned she was out of prison. This book was not a disappointment and if I could give it more stars I would have. This one in my opinion may have been better then Truth. If you are a fan of Aleatha Romig's "Consequences" series, then (like me) you have undoubtedly been taken on the ride of your life. And, oh, how I have enjoyed that ride! I can't wait until the next book comes out. To find out what Tony thought about Clair's disappearing and why. Thank God we don't have to wait to long I love this series.

I'm so speechless it's not even funny... I've loved the man I tried long to hate! Even from his point of view. From book 1 I fell in love with his dominate self. Even through it all I still love Anthony Rawlings. While most of us know the outcome i think it's safe to say that we all love his control ways. While reading his point of view I still feel the same way about the man that's hard to love. Call it crazy, call it disturbing as you may, but I love the charter more and I simply cannot wait to read the next two books from his point.... Team TONY!!!!

5 Stars. Fans of the Consequences series know that Tony Rawlings has had influence over the life of Claire Nichols for a very long time. Tony is capable of inflicting mental, physical and emotional abuse. He has anger issues. He is controlling and territorial when it comes to Claire Nichols. In Behind His Eyes – Truth, Claire has been pardoned. With her freedom, she finds her confidence, is very clever and grows a backbone. It is interesting to read how Tony reacts to these changes in Claire. Even more entertaining are his thoughts and feelings while he considers his moves and countermoves in a proverbial game of chess with Claire. His entire outlook on Claire Nichols and the Rawls family vendetta changes, much to the dismay of Catherine.

Readers will witness several key conversations between Catherine and Tony pertaining to Claire and the family vendetta. The level of Catherine’s deceit was very obvious to me, even though Tony continued to trust her with their darkest family secrets. Catherine bends the truth of her own actions to appear innocent. She constantly questions Tony about his intentions for Claire, and she clearly is not happy when Tony decides that the vendetta is over. This companion will be surprising to readers who were skeptical about Tony’s intentions at the end of Truth.

Readers will enjoy plenty of new reading material interspersed with scenes from the full-length novel in Behind His Eyes – Truth. Witness a king-size temper tantrum thrown by Tony when he learns Claire has been pardoned and has disappeared! When you read Truth, did you struggle to understand what Tony was trying to accomplish on the night of the Gala? Aleatha Romig thoroughly clarifies his mischief and intentions during the Gala in this companion. Enjoy the conversation Tony has with Catherine regarding a certain box of information sent to Claire while she was in prison. How did Tony feel when he discovered Claire is pregnant? The amount and quality of new material written by the author for this companion is both beneficial to the series and very interesting.

Aleatha Romig has chosen to write the Behind His Eyes companions to further enhance the reading experience of her Consequences series. The companions should be read only after the completion of Consequences, Truth and Convicted. Behind His Eyes – Truth gave me clarity. I found some of the new material very surprising. Perhaps the best thing about this companion is that Aleatha Romig showed her sense of humor – I found myself laughing, a lot! I am extremely excited to recommend another fantastic Behind His Eyes companion!

I still don't like this series. I'm still pretty pissed about it all since I've read over 1300 pages into this series and I just want some freaking ANSWERS already!!!! I'm almost at the point where I don't really care what happens anymore because I'm just so over it. But noticed I said, almost, lol. I can't walk away because I've invested so much time into this crap.

If I wasn't buddy reading this and haven't read some of this authors later books, I would've stopped after book one. I've never stuck this much time into a series where I can't stand both MCs.

In saying that, Tony is growing on me. This one has his feelings showing more. You can also see more of Catherine's manipulation in this one.

I do think this is a really dragged out series and could've/should've been done after no more than two books. I'm over it.

As I started reading BHE Truth, I thought to myself, would I ever tire or get enough of Anthony Rawlings. The answer is no! I've thoroughly enjoyed getting this story through Tony's eyes. This is not a complete re-write of Truth from Tony's POV, but rather a companion novel.

Yes you know the story and the outcome, but that really doesn't lessen the feelings that you get while experiencing Tony's POV and some of the significant parts of this story. One important part told in BHE Truth is when Tony finds out about Claire's pardon. Tony is all about control and when he finds out that Claire has been pardoned and released all without his knowledge he is fuming - literally! I have to admit internally doing the evil laugh seeing how pissed and upset Tony is when he finds out. This entire sequence was great and eye opening.

Although I did enjoy seeing Tony become defeated to a certain extent, I could feel his despair over Claire. The emptiness he feels was so real and you know he's a man with deep feelings for Claire beneath all the hardness.
Aleatha Romig has created a wonderful companion series in Tony's POV, but told in such a way that it elicits some of those same intense feelings and leaves you yet again loving and hating Tony Rawlings.

This is truly one of my favorite series and these companion novels just offers more insight into such an intense character who is loved and hated by many.

“—I want her back.
—I know.
—She’s mine.

—Catherine smiled. Remind her.”

To understand the heart and mind of a person, look not at what he has done, but at what he aspires to do.

I LOVE that Aleatha Romig has brought in Tony's POV in her Consequences series. In Behind His Eyes - Truth, Tony becomes more "human" in his thoughts and actions with regard to Claire. I was especially impressed with the quotes that Ms. Romig used at the beginning of each chapter and how well they related to the continuing story. I cannot WAIT for Behind His Eyes - Convicted!!

Time and time again, Aleatha Romig delivers superb stories full of emotion and suspense. Behind His Eyes - Truth is just another example of how Ms. Romig is at the top of her game and shows no signs of slowing down. Giving us Tony's POV is a huge treat, and helps us dive into the mind of this disturbingly, sexy, possessive man.

In BHE - Truth, we are reminded, yet again, how powerful Anthony Rawlings really is. He is a man on a mission. He wants something he takes it. All throughout this story it's like you can hear him in your head, the anger, the desperation, everything this man feels, you are right there with him. Some might say we get so invested in this character, and we are so conflicted on how we feel about him, it can take a toll on us. I can certainly say, for a fact, that this series has taken a toll on me, in a bone-chilling, heart-racing, mind-fucking way, but I wouldn't have it any other way. These are the stories that stick with you long after you finish reading. It's what you start comparing all other books to. Nothing beats the raw emotion and intense feelings this series pulls out of you.

Anthony Rawlings, Tony, Anton, Mr. Rawlings....no matter what you call this man, he will wreck you. He will make you hate him. He will make you feel sorry for him, and he will make you love him. This will go on and on, until you don't know what to think. No matter what you feel for him, the point is...you will FEEL.

❝She was his drug. Claire Nichols ran through his system like ecstasy, sending him on otherwise unobtainable highs.❞

In Behind His Eyes - Truth, Tony finally has to deal with circumstances beyond his control. That's not to say he won't try, but its out of his reach. Conflicting feelings turn into clarity, and then to opportunity. Every little detail has it's reasoning. There are scenes that you appreciate getting a second look at. Maybe you will get some answers to some questions that have been on your mind. Maybe it will make you even more confused. No matter what, we get to see the two characters that we have fallen for happy again, even if for a moment in time. I'm pretty sure I said this in my last review of BHE - Consequences, but if you are an avid reader of this series, even though you know what's going to happen, it is still so damn intense!

I could seriously go on and on about Tony. He is so incredibly fascinating. Some of you while reading this will have little smirks on your face at times. We get to witness Tony without control. He always has such an internal conflict when it comes to his Claire. The depth of his feelings for Claire is beautiful, yet a little scary, but it's nice to bare witness to such a gruff man come to terms with his love for another human being. For such a powerful man he has so many regrets. It's a little sick that I find some comfort in his suffering, but it reminds us that he is just a man.

❝He didn't want to be disappointed; however, more than that, he didn't want to disappoint.❞

So make sure you pour yourself a glass of wine, shot of tequila, or a whiskey sour, because this will take a lot out of you. Nobody can write intensity like Aleatha Romig. She is so high at the top of her game right now, I can't wait to get the final chapter in this saga. Here is to another fantastic addition to the Consequences Series, and here is to the man we all love to hate, Mr. Anthony Rawlings.

My Review:

For those of you who have been reading this series with me, I don’t think I need to go into great detail in terms of what this book is about. I will say though…… Truth was my favorite book in the Consequences Series so I was excited to start this book.

I was angry with Tony in the last book. I hated his manipulation……. I hated what he did to Clare! But this was the book where I started to like to Tony. This is when he started to melt my heart! And he did it again, when I read this book!

That fact that he hated going home without Clare…… that he realized his life before Clare was boring. He realized that the grass I not greener on the other side. For him…… revenge was not everything he hoped for…… he was still miserable.

I think that was the turning point for him. He realized that without Clare he had nothing. But he also struggled with whether he wanted her or not. He questions himself…….. and her loyalty. He is petrified of being left and has no clue what to do with those emotions. But his thinking errors just would not allow him to work through that! It’s almost like he is a prisoner to his past. He yearns to be free of it, but it’s like he’s chained to it and he doesn’t have the key to let it go. But could Clare be his key?!?!?!

I will not give any spoilers out in this review. I enjoyed this book and you will too! Go buy it and join me on Tony’s journey of redemption (Because I know all of you fell in love with him, you just don’t want to admit it!).

P.S. In this book, I did feel sorry for Tony. I admit it (don’t be hatin’ on me)……… I felt bad that he could not be free from his own past :( That his past was ruining his life and what it could be!
