“You can’t lose everything until you have everything to lose.” So very, very true!!Aleatha Romig weaved an epic world of multi-layered characters in an intense unique story that captivated my imagination and my heart. This authors eloquent style and writing finesse is simply wonderful. Behind His Eyes-Truth is a wonderful addition to the Consequences series adding further layers.... Mr Rawlings bewitched me with his charisma and all powerful being. I don’t think I’ll ever have enough of Tony. I'll always LOVE this series. I'll always want more.... Can't wait for Behind His Eyes-Conviction.

Could she see his pain? Yes, he was responsible for her consequences and pain that she'd endured, but he had pain, too. With all his heart he wanted to make them both forget it all—the pain, the past, everything.
Tony had given Claire a life with everything and then had taken it away—for the sake of vendetta. In that process, he'd lost everything—everything he never realized he wanted. After she was gone, he still had the money, the estate, and the prestige, yet his life was as empty as the envelope in his hand. The vengeance had not only punished the people on their list, but it had punished him, taken away his everything.
Was this what it was like to truly love someone? Did it mean more than a promise of obedience and togetherness? Did it also mean allowing yourself to be vulnerable?
Thoughts weren't forming with any kind of reasoning. The only thing Tony knew, with one hundred percent certainty, was that he wanted her. He wanted her more than he wanted air. If she wanted that too, all walls were down. Could she handle it? Could she handle him—the real him? It was now or never. No more pretenses, no holding back. This would be the real him, raw and uncensored. Claire would either run for her life or be his for eternity. It was too late to turn back.
Tony loved Claire more than he could articulate; however, they both knew, his love wasn't all wine and roses. He was damaged. Chalk it up to a screwed-up childhood, blame it on tragedies—the cause was irrelevant. Tony was a sick son-of-a-bitch who had certain requirements. Claire needed to decide if she was willing to submit to his requirements and follow his rules. This was her last out, the last chance. If she didn't run now, he would never let her go.

“—I want her back.
—I know.
—She’s mine.
—Catherine smiled. Remind her.”
To understand the heart and mind of a person, look not at what he has done, but at what he aspires to do.
