Highly entertaining, emotionally thrilling, action packed romantic journey filled with mystery and danger. A thoroughly engaging magical world I enjoyed reading and would love to return to.
Celeste Hart is sexy, sweet, charming and has no idea about who she really is. She is about to find out why she has always felt so different from everybody else the hard way. Eric Nordstrom is strong, confident, sexy, driven and determined never to fall in love. His world is turned upside down and inside out after one passionate night with Celeste (his family was hiding secrets too). Every heart pounding twist and turn kept me reading all night.

“Veiled Secrets” by Jodi Vaughn grabbed me from the very first page. Celeste Hart has dreams that lead her on a quest for the truth. During her search, she has a chance encounter with her boss, Eric Nordstrom, which results in an undeniable chemistry and an unexpected pregnancy. That’s when the real mystery begins, and the threat to Celeste and her child is very real and terrifying.
This paranormal romance has a unique tale that is gripping and addictive. The characters are well-developed and believable. I loved Celeste and Eric form the start and the author wrote them in such a way that their chemistry leapt off the page. The book is incredibly well-written and is one of those books that I just couldn’t get back to fast enough. Any paranormal, romance, or suspense fanatic will love this book!

Once I picked up this book, I couldn't put it down till the last page. It's a great story filled with passion, secrets, jealousy, great danger and more, in the magnificently built world of magic and love. We have Fae, Pixie's, Demons and even Angels, all coming together because of one night of indiscretion between Celeste and Eric. A night that leads to an arranged marriage. Little did they know how much their lives are connected and what danger they and their families are in. They will learn to work together to fight off the evil. Grab this amazingly written story to read all that happens from the instant they see each other, their hunger for each other, the anger and suspicions, the family that surrounds them with love, humor and strength, to the very end where they must all fight for their lives. I recommend this book to all lovers of magic and love and how believing in each other can lead to everything.

Celeste has a hard go of it, confused about who she is, and entirely unaware and kept in the dark about her Fae existence. At a party she crashed to steal a book a prophecy tells her will shed light on the situation, she never gets near the book, but instead finds herself seduced and pregnant, and soon after in a loveless marriage to Eric Nordstrom and a new life in Vermont far from the comfortable life she'd known all along in rural Georgia. Through a number of twists and turns she learns her husband is also Fae, and their union could fulfill a prophecy that will result in the murder of their child in a dark sacrifice. Will their love for their baby and each other be enough to save their baby, though? Well, why not read it and see?

Prepare to be hooked! Veiled Secrets is a real page-turner, a paranormal love story with lots of twists and turns. It is a perfect cocktail of suspense, steamy situations and love with a really captivating storyline.
I got lost in the book in a blink and couldn’t put it down as the story of Celeste and Eric slowly seduced me, entwining me deeper and deeper into their mysterious world. The story felt like a refreshing wind in a paranormal romance genre, a pure pleasure, which, without a doubt, found its way straight to my heart.
I really enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait what the author has in store for the future!

think this is one of the most enjoyable books I have read in a long time. I was gripped by the end of the first chapter, not understanding but wanting to know more. I will not talk about the story, as there are so many surprises along the way. I will say though, that love, action, magic, suspense, and at times, fear for the characters' lives, completely engrossed me and I found myself transported into the magical world that Jodi Vaughn created.
A good story leaves one with lingering emotions and a little sadness that it is all over. I feel this way about this book and feel sure that I would have enjoyed the read just as much, had it been twice as long.

This wasn't my typical sort of fantasy read and I was quite fortunately, not disappointed. The author did a great job of weaving together a fantastic magical world and I spent every page of the story wondering what the story was behind Celeste and how it was going to unfold. I wanted her and Eric to have their happily ever after! I kept rooting for him and fist pumping and hung to every page.
But most of all, what I wanna say is the best? This author can write some hot little sex scenes and her detailed sense of prose made me squeal with happiness. The pages came alive with description and I feel this was a purchase well made.

Celest knows she isn't quite human and thinks the answer is to be found in a book at a house her employer is holding a party. Far from finding the book, she is trapped into a loveless marriage. Her new husband is trying to do the decent thing, but circumstances are against him. One thing is precious to them both and it is this that will ultimately bring them into a joint battle. Who will survive? Who must die? Read the book and find out.
I loved the way the characters grow and evolve as the story progresses. There are secrets and things are not what they seem. I adored the twists and turns as the action unwinds. This is gripping in every way. Highly recommended.

I absolutely adore this book. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. The story was intense but the sexual tension between Celeste and Eric would smother Mr. Grey. Finally a book looked at from all sides to know what Celeste and Eric's hang ups and desires are, makes me invest in the characters and series so much more. The paranormal world have a new member. While I've finished the book I am dying to know the rest. I will wait for the next book but I will not wait patiently. If you need a break from your world, buy this book and start your vacation in Vermont.

Thank you Jodi Vaughn! As a reader I have strayed from this genre due to the focus of young adult books in it. You have been a beacon of light leading me back. My only qualm is that I'm having to wait for book two. The intricate way each life is linked dragging fairies, demons, and even a few humans in. Your writing style is Sherrilyn Kenyon meets E. L. James, making them hot Hot HOT with plenty of action! Can't wait to see what's next from this up and coming Author.

This was a great story. If I could of given it 10 stars I would have. Jodi is an amazing author. This story combines good and evil. It shows what it takes to fight and win, to forgive & love . Two completely different people do what it takes to succeed. .I mean this is about witches, fairies and demons. What more could you want. And the ending blew me away. Jodi is a great author, it would take an amazing writer to pull this story off and boy did she in a big way.

Jodi did a wonderful job with characterization and delving into the relationships of the various family members in Celeste's world.
It's a mix of Twilight and True Blood with a hint, just a hint, of Ashes in the Wind.
I'm ready to find out what happens to her "not cousin" - ha! Where's the sequel?

What a topsy-turvy book! The author’s real life meets paranormal Fae life takes Celeste by storm and the author makes you feel every shock and revelation Celeste has to go through. Celeste and Eric have a chaotic go of it and I am left wondering what is going to happen next. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Let me say now that I am VERY biased towards this author as she happens to be a great friend and cp of mine. :-)

Great characters, story, and writing. Veiled Secrets is full of the kind of magic that keeps me coming back to paranormal reads over and over again.
There's plenty of mystery, heat and intrigue to fill every page. Congrats on an amazing story and looking forward to the next one!

This book is very different from what I'm used to reading. It is definitely an adult romance novel, with some paranormal aspects to it.
The book starts out by introducing us to the main character: Celeste. She is trying to figure out who she is. She these terrifying nightmares and she needs to find out what they are all about. She goes to a party in search of a book, but instead she finds the handsome CEO of the company, Eric. After a night of passion, Celeste becomes pregnant and is kinda forced into marrying Eric. The rest of the book is her figuring out who she is, and how to deal with this new outlook on life.
I found it kinda weird that she slept with him after literally just meeting him. And then when she goes to tell him she's pregnant, her parents come with her. The reasoning behind all of this is explained later, but at the beginning, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it based on the first few chapters. It was a little unbelievable to me, especially that an adult would bring her parents to explain she's pregnant, but I slowly became interested in Celeste and what was going to happen to her.
Also, again I want to stress that this is a book written for adults and there is a lot of mature content in this book. I would only recommend this book to those of you who enjoy reading adult paranormal romance novels.

Great read by Jodi Vaughn. We start with Celeste, not knowing what she truly is and trying to find out. This leads her to Eric. After one hot steamy night, they find themselves connected for life. Enter the families, friends, enemies and jealous exes which starts unraveling secrets Celeste & Eric had no clue of. Now we are meeting fairies, pixies, demons, a queen and an angel. Action packed scenes and true love keep you glued to the story. I didn't want to put it down. This is my honest review for a book given to me by the author.
